      Summary:

      Position Overview

      The role provides comprehensive geriatric care across the care continuum. This is a full-time position offering a unique blend of clinical settings. The successful candidate will divide their time between:

      • Outpatient geriatric clinic services
      • Skilled nursing facility coverage

      Qualifications

      · Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Geriatrics are preferred.

      · APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification if doing Inpatient work.

      · APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification or Certification related to opioid training if placing orders for Schedule 4 Drugs

      The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the Rush University Medical Center medical staff bylaws.       Nurse Practitioner:

      Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees.         Summary:
        This position is responsible for continuous monitoring of the coding quality performed by staff both within and external to the Health Information Management Department.         This provider will join a team of both physicians and APPs that provides 24/7 care to critically ill medical patients at the Rush main campus. APPs will work autonomously and in collaboration with Rush pulmonary/critical care attending physicians and fellows and will be required to perform a number of procedures including central line placements, paracentesis and temporary hemodialysis catheter placements, among other duties.

         

        Department/division specs

        • There are more than 400 APPs employed across the Rush system. The AICU team is fully staffed with 9 APPs.
        • We work closely with many departments (palliative care, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious disease, etc.) as part of a multidisciplinary approach in the ICU.

        Duties & Responsibilities:

        ·The AICU is a 28-bed unit that is staffed by both medical and surgical ICU teams.

        ·This position is 100% inpatient.

        Preferred Qualifications:

        ·Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in the ICU is required.

          This provider will join a team of both physicians and APPs that provides 24/7 care to critically ill medical patients at the Rush main campus. APPs will work autonomously and in collaboration with Rush pulmonary/critical care attending physicians and fellows and will be required to perform a number of procedures including central line placements, paracentesis and temporary hemodialysis catheter placements, among other duties.

          • There are more than 400 APPs employed across the Rush system. The AICU team is fully staffed with 9 APPs.
          • We work closely with many departments (palliative care, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious disease, etc.) as part of a multidisciplinary approach in the ICU.

          Duties & Responsibilities:

          ·The AICU is a 28-bed unit that is staffed by both medical and surgical ICU teams.

          ·This position is 100% inpatient.

            7.Exhibits mastery of specialized RUMG Access Center processes including but, not limited to questionnaires, subgroups, auto search, radiology scheduling workflows, pre-registration, message templates, and referral capture and insurance plan networks.
            8.Drives and supports the RUMG revenue cycle by minimizing potential financial risk of patient accounts through patient insurance registration activities. This includes but is not limited to discussing the patient’s financial responsibility for their upcoming visit, outstanding balances, and referral requirements based on Rush contracts.
            9.Assists in verifying billing statements, questions, collections and problems associated with patient accounts.
            10.Identifies and promotes other practices or services patient or provider may also need.
            11.Works cooperatively in a team environment and supports a flexible structure to ensure the success of the RUMG Access Center.
            12.Understands and becomes a subject matter expert with MyChart \ MyRushApp and open scheduling.
            13.Keeps up-to-date on Rush University Medical Center leaders, providers and services.
            14.Records daily activity in Access facilitated access database.
            15.Daily interaction with RUSH patients, providers and leaders.
            16.Assist with all other access center queues as needed.
            17.Performs duties in a typical office environment.
