      Position Highlights:

      · Epic tasks, such as, my chart and staff messages.

      · Road Home Population; veterans and active duty service members. The veterans need to be stable before providing a service.

      · The role reviews medical records (anything stands out that they may not be accepted; substance abuse, suicidal, etc.) from the intake team and being a part of medical clearance for veterans receiving therapy.

      · Cohort for veterans that comes in every two weeks; reviewing records in advance (2-4 weeks); providing medical clearance.

      · Direct patient to patient contact: Takes vital signs, medical evaluation, handle all medications and answer any questions.

        · During the week, being available in case of any emergencies; i.e. patient may have anxiety, but if it’s something more serious, they would need to be directed to Jesse Brown VA Hospital.

        Summary:
        The Ambulatory RN 2 identifies patterns of patient responses and can use past experiences to implement solutions for current situations. The Ambulatory RN 2 is a competent nurse who has mastered technical skills and utilizes evidence based interventions. The Ambulatory RN 2 continues to collaborate with other members of the health care team when the need for assistance is identified.       Summary:
      The Phlebotomist obtains blood specimens from patients by the invasive procedure of venipuncture. Once proficient in adult and geriatric venipuncture and with additional training, the phlebotomist performs skin puncture on neonates, skin puncture or venipuncture on children and adolescents. The phlebotomist is a liaison between the physician and Rush Medical Laboratories. The phlebotomist (Laboratory Liaison Technician) is responsible for collecting specimens for routine, timed and STAT collections. The phlebotomist interacts and communicates with physicians, nurses, laboratory personnel and other members of the health care team.       •Keeps work area, phlebotomy cart, and personal appearance, neat, clean, and organized.

      •Notifies appropriate personnel (supervisor, physician, and nurse) of problems or unusual situations encountered, for example, missed collections and patient unavailability, promptly. Attempts to resolve problems thoroughly before reporting to a supervisor.
      •Performs LIS order entry correctly. Double checks orders in computer versus requisition to avoid mistakes and order omissions.

      •Documents on the clipboard (NCC) and collection set labels for missed or delayed draws with rare exception.

      Summary:

Clinical pharmacy services will be provided in collaboration with pediatric pharmacists for pediatric oncology.       Outpatient care:
      1.The hematology/oncology/SCT pharmacist will:
      a.Be available as needed during the evaluation phase if any multidisciplinary team member feels a consult is needed by the hematology/oncology pharmacist.
      b.Participate in development of patient education materials with multidisciplinary team members in preparing patients for SCT.
      c.Be available on a consultative basis to the outpatient SCT clinic on patients with immunosuppression problems identified by any multidisciplinary transplant team member.
      Inpatient Acute Care:
      1.The hematology, oncology, gyne/onc and SCT pharmacists:
      a.Attends interdisciplinary rounds for malignant hematology, medical oncology, gynecologic oncology and SCT daily to assist the respective team with the design, implementation and monitoring of medication regimens.
      b.Reviews drug therapy to ensure appropriate use, dose, dosage form, regimen, route, therapeutic duplication, drug allergies, drug interactions and cost-effective therapy.
      c.Reconciles home medications for admitted patients.
      d.Discusses medication order clarifications with the prescriber/healthcare team and document any changes in patient and pharmacy records to inform others of medication order changes.
      e.Provides individual patient/family counseling on medication regimens, adherence to medication regimens and adverse effects of medication regimens to patients/caregivers prior to discharge of allogeneic SCT patients and other patients deemed appropriate and document in the electronic medical record.
      f.Provides pharmacokinetic consultations as required. Kinetic notes are written for every new start of vancomycin or an aminoglycoside and for dose modifications.
      g.Prevents, detects monitors, documents and reports adverse drug reactions and medication errors.
      h.Reviews chemotherapy orders for hematology, oncology, gyne/onc, and SCT patients receiving chemotherapy inpatient.
      i.Available to nursing staff for questions on medication orders.
      j.Order verification/in-basket messages for assigned units.
      k.PM staffing required, frequency based on departmental need.
      l.Changing medications from IV to PO as appropriate.

      Discharge Planning (Inpatient Acute Care):
      1.The hematology/oncology/SCT pharmacist will:
      a.Participate in discharge planning and discuss relevant changes to the home medication list prior to discharge with the team and/or the patient as required.
      b.Help facilitate discharge planning for smooth transition to outpatient pharmacies or alternate site of care.
      c.Assist in assessing insurance coverage and assist in prior authorization for medications (when necessary) in advance of discharge.

      1.The hematology/oncology/SCT pharmacist will:
      a.Act as the pharmacy liaison to the Cancer Center.
      b.Coordinate pharmacy participation in hematology/oncology, SCT and gynecology/oncology-related committees.

      Summary:
      The Physician and Provider Compensation Partner is responsible for the planning, implementation, and management of physician compensation and clinical incentives. This position requires close collaboration with other members of the RUMG, Finance and Legal leadership teams, physician leaders, and across the health system. Demonstrates, supports and exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

      Required Job Qualifications:

      • Bachelor's degree or higher in business, accounting, human resources, or a related field required.
      • At least five years of related healthcare experience in practice management, finance, or decision support.
      • At least three years of experience administering and developing physician and other provider compensation plans.
      • Demonstrated compensation analysis and modeling experience required.
      • Prior experience using AAMC, Sullivan Cotter, and MGMA physician compensation surveys preferred.
      • Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with all levels within the organization.
      • Advanced proficiency with the Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel.
      • Excellent oral, written, and presentation communication skills.
      • Ability to work with others in a team environment.
      • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex data and communicate issues, findings, and recommendations to leadership and other constituents.
      • Initiative and time-management skills and ability to handle multiple assignments and projects of varying degrees of complexity.
      • Accepts responsibility, initiates action, and exercises judgment to complete assignments and projects as delegated.

      Preferred Job Qualifications:

      • Five years of experience in administering and developing physician and other provider compensation plans preferred.

      Responsibilities:

      • Responsible for the design and administration of all physician and APP compensation programs across all mission areas and service lines, including administrative roles.
      • Ensures physician compensation models are effective, well understood, and compliant with all state and federal regulatory requirements.
      • Ensures that physician compensation models are consistent and in compliance with Fair Market Value (FMV) guidelines, internally equitable and the models perform properly and consistently.
      • Serves as the lead technical expert on system-wide physician compensation arrangements.
      • Maintains understanding and awareness of physician and variable compensation components to physician pay as administered by Finance. Assists Finance on variable pay for physician compensation as needed.
      • Assists with physician and APP compensation-related matters including practice acquisitions, proformas and medical director contracts and develops external vendor relationships as needed to support the design of physician compensation programs.
      • Prepares and curates necessary documentation for physician compensation, pay offers, and changes; including policy, leader, and individual communications.
      • Serves as the subject matter expert for the RUSH system on physician and APP compensation.
      • Recommends physician base salaries as benchmarked and consistent with compensation philosophy and set with a competitive fair market value (FMV) analysis.
      • Oversees development of department-specific monthly reports monitoring clinical physician wRVU performance ensuring appropriate performance activity, metrics and trends are available.
      • Responsible for communications and education sessions for department, divisional, and sectional administrative leadership regarding all physician and APP compensation plan changes.
      • Makes recommendations and analyze data to support annual budget production related to physician and APP compensation and all clinical incentives and processes within different RUMC operating entities.
      • Represents the Total Reward-Compensation team on various committees related the physician and APP compensation and incentive plans.

      Pay Range:  $37.50 - $62.21 per hour

      Position Highlights:

      · Epic tasks, such as, my chart and staff messages.

      · Road Home Population; veterans and active duty service members. The veterans need to be stable before providing a service.

      · The role reviews medical records (anything stands out that they may not be accepted; substance abuse, suicidal, etc.) from the intake team and being a part of medical clearance for veterans receiving therapy.

      · Cohort for veterans that comes in every two weeks; reviewing records in advance (2-4 weeks); providing medical clearance.

      · Direct patient to patient contact: Takes vital signs, medical evaluation, handle all medications and answer any questions.

        · During the week, being available in case of any emergencies; i.e. patient may have anxiety, but if it’s something more serious, they would need to be directed to Jesse Brown VA Hospital.

        Summary:
        The Ambulatory RN 2 identifies patterns of patient responses and can use past experiences to implement solutions for current situations. The Ambulatory RN 2 is a competent nurse who has mastered technical skills and utilizes evidence based interventions. The Ambulatory RN 2 continues to collaborate with other members of the health care team when the need for assistance is identified. Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

        Required Job Qualifications:
        • Current license and credentials by the state they are assigned.
        • At least one year of nursing experience required.
        • Earned Nursing Degree at the Baccalaureate level or higher for those hired after January 1, 2014.
        • All transfers to Rush University Medical Center or Rush University Medical Group from other Rush entities must have an earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher prior to the transfer.
        • Current CPR Certification.
        • Analytical ability.
        • Communication skills in order to lead and teach.
        • Ability to interact effectively with others in difficult situations.
        • The ability to check documents for errors, use a keyboard to enter or retrieve data, and closely examine specimens, images or reports.
        - A specialty certification may be required for certain departments within 12 months of hire.
        Preferred Job Qualifications:

        •  National Certification.
        • 1-3 years nursing experience preferred
        Physical Demands:
        • Ability to walk throughout the Medical Center and to be standing or walking most of the designated shift.
        • Ability to lifting or carrying objects 35-40lbs. and lifting and positioning patients, some of whom may exceed 300 lbs.
        • Work conditions include performing procedures where carelessness could result in injury or illness and/or contact with potentially infectious materials and/or strong chemical agents.
