      Position Details

      • Rush Medical Group Primary Care offers health care for the entire family from acute illness to chronic medical issues. Our family medicine doctors see patients of all ages — from newborns to seniors.
      • Desirable schedule of 36 patient facing hours per week with 1 evening per week until 7pm and 1 Saturday morning per month
      • Convenient Care services integrated directly into our practice for seamless walk-in patient care
      • Sugar Grove is a growing village of around 9,300 residents, located roughly 46 miles west of downtown Chicago.
      • Our clinic location is close to a variety of shopping and restaurants and is easily accessible via Illinois Route 47, which connects to Interstate 88 and US 30.
      • Join us during a pivotal expansion phase with upcoming renovations to significantly increase our clinical space

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages
      • Collaborate with nursing staff and support team
      • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
      • Contribute to practice growth during our expansion phase
      • Call responsibility: Each physician covers their own weekday call after hours. Weekend call is shared 1:5

      Qualifications:

        • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical institution

This APP will deliver safe and timely care to our liver transplant recipients who require close medical management in the pre- and post-transplant phases of care.

      Key Responsibilities:

      · Provide comprehensive care for patients with chronic liver disease, including those undergoing liver transplant evaluation and those who are actively listed for transplantation.

      · Perform assessments, formulate diagnoses, and initiate and manage treatment plans.

      · Collaborate with hepatologists, transplant surgeons, and the multidisciplinary team to optimize medical management of pre-transplant patients.

      · Travel to 1–2 outreach clinics per month in the Chicago and Northwest Indiana area to deliver high-quality liver care and transplant evaluation services, improving access for patients in the community.

      · Document care in the EMR (Epic) with accuracy and timeliness.

      · Participate in multidisciplinary transplant evaluation conferences and contribute to patient selection discussions.

      · .Engage in clinical research, process improvement initiatives, and program development as desired.

      · Contribute to education of medical students, APPs, and residents through case discussions and clinical mentorship.

      Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Five-day, eight-hour work schedule from 8:00am – 5:00pm

      Preferred Qualifications:

      · At least 1–2 years of experience in transplant, Hepatology, critical care or internal medicine

      · BLS required

      · Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in transplant, hepatology or related specialty is preferred. Relevant RN experience may be considered.

      The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the Rush University Medical Center medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

          • Six years of overall experience leading to increasing responsibilities. Strong understanding of clinical workflows in a healthcare setting.

          Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors.             Summary:
            The Manager of Clinical Applications directly manages the implementation, optimization, and support of the institution’s clinical and business systems.             • Six years of overall experience leading to increasing responsibilities. Strong understanding of clinical workflows in a healthcare setting.

            Summary:
            The Education Quality Coordinator (EQC) is an experienced nurse who coordinates and participates in the provision of education and nursing quality improvement.
