      Duties & Responsibilities 

      The Per Diem Orthopedics Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) works collaboratively with supervising orthopedic surgeons and the departmental team to provide comprehensive, high-quality care to orthopedic patients. This position primarily covers supplemental staffing needs, including weekend coverage, vacation coverage, and support during high census periods, across the inpatient, outpatient, and operative settings.  

      Nurse Practitioner: 

      •Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process 

      •Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position 

      •Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)

       •CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications 

                    oAPRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification if doing Inpatient work. 
                    oAPRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification and First Assistant Certification if working in OR. 

      Physician Assistant:

      The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care.       As a First Assist Surgical Advanced Practice Provider, you will play an integral role in both obstetric and gynecologic surgical care, supporting a full spectrum of procedures and clinical needs. This includes first‑assisting during cesarean deliveries, minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries, and routine gynecologic operative cases. You will work in close collaboration with obstetric and gynecologic surgeons to ensure seamless, high‑quality surgical support.

      Due to significant regional growth, we are expanding the existing practice at Rush Convenient Care – South Eola, adding Primary Care services in the summer of 2026 to meet increasing patient demand. The chosen candidate will function as an anchor Primary Care Physician, establishing primary care services at this site.       Position Details

      · Rush Medical Group Primary Care offers health care for the entire family from acute illness to chronic medical issues. Our family medicine doctors see patients of all ages — from newborns to seniors.

      · The practice currently houses a convenient care clinic operated by a dedicated APP. The chosen PCP candidate will establish primary services at this site, contributing to practice growth during our expansion phase.

      · 100% outpatient Primary Care; no inpatient responsibilities

      · Desirable schedule of 36 patient-facing hours per week with 1 evening shift until 7pm and 1 Saturday morning per month.

      · Call responsibility: the physician will join a call group of Rush Copley Medical Center PCPs for after hours and weekend call coverage - 1:6.

      Key Responsibilities:

      · Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics

      · Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions

      · Collaborate with nursing staff and support team

      · Participate in quality improvement initiatives

      · Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records

      · Participate in after-hours call rotation to ensure continuity of care for patients

      Qualifications:

      • The Rush Copley Family Medicine Residency Program seeks full-time and part-time family medicine faculty members to join our unopposed (4-4-4), fully accredited ACGME family medicine program affiliated with Rush University.

      • Our Family Medicine Center emphasizes education and team-based care in partnership with our patients.

      Position details: 

      • We're looking for a candidate with strong interpersonal, teaching, and inpatient/outpatient skills. 

      • Faculty inpatient call averages one week every 4.5 weeks with the residents.  

      • Candidate will provide direct supervision and instruction to residents in the outpatient and inpatient clinical settings. They will develop and deliver didactic lectures and procedural training to the residents, aligned with ACGME competencies. They will also participate in curriculum development, quality improvement, scholarly activity, and residency program administration.  

      • Candidates will provide mentorship and support to residents, and promote an environment conducive to learning, growth, and professional development.

          • Diagnosis: Formulates accurate diagnoses for a wide range of sports-related injuries and conditions by integrating clinical findings with the interpretation of advanced imaging modalities (e.g., X-rays, MRI, and Ultrasound).

          • Ortho- Clinic Coverage: Provides coverage for the group's high-volume, walk-in clinic, managing a wide range of urgent musculoskeletal injuries and conditions. If surgery is needed, patients are referred to Copley Orthopedic Surgeons.

          Duties & Responsibilities:

          • Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members to assess, diagnose, and manage cardiovascular conditions.
          • Perform patient evaluations, coordinate care transitions, and participate in quality and safety initiatives.
          • Schedule: Average 40 patient-facing hours per week inpatient

          Preferred Qualifications:

          Nurse Practitioner:

        The Per Diem Orthopedics Advanced Practice Provider (Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner) works collaboratively with supervising orthopedic surgeons and the departmental team to provide comprehensive, high-quality care to orthopedic patients. This position primarily covers supplemental staffing needs, including weekend coverage, vacation coverage, and support during high census periods, across the inpatient, outpatient, and operative settings.  

        Nurse Practitioner:

            The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care.             Position Details

            • Rush Medical Group Primary Care offers health care for the entire family from acute illness to chronic medical issues. Our family medicine doctors see patients of all ages — from newborns to seniors.
            • 100% outpatient role with optional inpatient opportunities (if desired).
            • Clinic is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm, Saturday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, closed on Sundays.
            • Desirable schedule of 36 patient facing hours per week with 1 evening shift until 7pm and 1 Saturday morning per month.
            • Call responsibility: Each physician takes call after hours one day per week. Weekend call is shared 1:5.
