      The Cardiac Surgery team at Rush University Medical Center is actively recruiting for a Cardiovascular ICU Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join the Heart & Vascular Service Line.

      Schedule & Shifts:

      · Rotating day and night shifts scheduled in 4-6 week blocks.

      · 13-hour shifts, averaging 6 shifts over a 2-week period.

      · Extra shifts (day or night) are available for those interested.

      Clinical Responsibilities:

      · Work as part of a multidisciplinary team including Cardiac Surgeons and an in-house night Intensivist.

      · Deliver comprehensive care to cardiovascular ICU patients, supporting the post-surgical and critical care continuum.

      Qualifications:

      · APRN candidates must hold Acute Care Certification to be considered.

      · Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Cardiovascular ICU is preferred. Relevant RN experience may be considered.

      The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the Rush University Medical Center medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

      Position Summary:

      The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provider all aspects of care including acute care, well care and chronic care in the urgent care setting for patients of all ages.

      Position Requirements:

      Nurse Practitioner:

      • Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse
      • Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
      • Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
      • Maintains State of Illinois and Federal DEA license
      • Must maintain Rush University Medical Center (RUMC), Rush Oak Park Hospital (ROPH), and Rush Copley Medical Center (RCMC) clinical privileges, as applicable.
      • CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.

        Summary:

        This position is part of Rush’s Day Program (Partial Hospitalization Program) for adults.  The role involves Structure group treatment and providing utilization management to support patients in their treatment planning, discharge needs, and overall care coordination.

          The Licensed Clinical Social Worker is a key member of the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Rush. The LCSW provides clinical consultation to assess and treat individuals with common mental and behavioral health conditions and their family members in a multidisciplinary outpatient practice setting, on inpatient, and hospital units and within the home and school communities. Insight and direction for patients will be offered to ensure that clients are connected to other services and support in the community, at school or in another appropriate setting. The LCWS works in collaboration with psychiatrists, psychologists, social workers, counselors and other members of the multi-disciplinary team.         Required Job Qualifications:

        •   Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology or Applied Behavioral Science required. 
        • Current State of Illinois licensure as LCSW required.
        •  Two years of previous social work experience in healthcare, care management, mental health and/or social services 
        • Excellent interpersonal skills and solid knowledge of community resources, demonstrated organizational skills.

        • Utilizes resources within the community that support children and families to meet treatment goals (these community resources will offer options for referrals to external resources for the client and/or family members). Participates in development, implementation and evaluation of programs within the psychiatry department at Rush.
        •  Develops and conducts psycho-educational classes and groups.

        Program Overview:

        Position Details:

        • Primarily an outpatient program with clinic hours from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM and sees approximately 8,500 adult and pediatric patients annually.
        • The neuro-geneticist will participate in outpatient clinics and multi-disciplinary programs, such as the new Rush Center for Genomic Medicine (RCOG), which is a collaborative center with the Department of Pediatrics.

          The Staff Research Scientist will design and perform complex scientific research experiments. The job will perform experiments, analyze data, compile results, and monitor quality control processes to ensure integrity of research. The position will utilize knowledge of molecular biology, neurobiology, cell biology, human genomics, and stem cell biology. This person will troubleshoot and evaluate data, and prepare manuscripts based on experimental results. The work requires the application of highly specialized knowledge of brain development and human genetic/epigenetic regulations. Some of the related techniques that will be applied in the research to be conducted will include human iPSC cultures, neural differentiation, brain organoid cultures, high-content imaging, molecular biology, viral packaging, CRISPR gene perturbations and data analysis. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances. Opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

                The Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush University Medical Center is growing and looking to add BC/BE academic and community Neurologists to North & Harlem Outpatient Center in Chicago. The Main Campus general neurology practice current team includes 10 academic clinical neurologists that have a variety of clinical and academic interests, each with extensive experience caring for patients with a wide range of neurological problems in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Candidates will have a faculty appointment and join the Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush University Medical Center. All opportunities will include outpatient and inpatient settings and a chance to see a wide variety of neurological diagnoses. Teaching and research opportunities are also available if desired by the candidate. Qualified candidates must be graduates from an ACGME-accredited neurology residency and must be board certified in neurology. Outstanding clinical skills are required. Candidates will have a faculty rank commensurate with experience. A competitive salary and benefits package are available.

                The Department of Diagnostic Radiology & Nuclear Medicine at Rush University Medical Center is seeking an Abdominal Imaging radiologist at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to join our well-established department in Chicago, IL. Join a collegial group of 28 sub-specialized radiologists serving Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Rush Oak Park Hospital in Oak Park, and numerous outpatient facilities in the Chicagoland area.

                Clinical duties include interpreting body MRI, CT, and ultrasound examinations and consulting with referring physicians. The selected candidate will work closely with radiology residents, body imaging fellows, and medical students from Rush Medical College. In addition, the candidate will collaborate professionally and academically with professionals from surgery, oncology, hepatology, gastroenterology, urology, radiation oncology, and organ transplant services. There are also opportunities to participate in administration, research, hospital committees, and quality initiatives. Equipment includes 10 clinical MRI magnets, 3T research magnet, 12 CT scanners (including dual-energy CT systems), and a state-of-art photon-counting CT.
