      Summary:
      Anesthesiology Technologists are responsible for processing of reusable equipment for the cleaning and disinfection to manufacturer specification. They serve as an aid to the anesthesia providers during emergencies and ensure that all inventory/airway emergency supplies are stocked to the quantity and as outlined by policy.       Required Job Qualifications:
      •High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or an equivalent combination of relevant education and training.

      Responsibilities:
      1.Must be knowledgeable of the JACHO and IDPH regulations as it applies to Anesthesia.
      2.Immediately respond to emergency requests from anesthesia staff for additional supplies/equipment as required.
      3.Must be knowledgeable of terminology of anesthesia supplies and procedures.
      4.Assist in the preparation of the anesthesia site for all cases/procedures requiring anesthesia.

      15.Responsible for assembling central line/ A-line kits in accordance with the agreed protocol.
      16.Set-up in preparation in the cardiac and neuro anesthesia sites.
      17.Check code bags for used/outdated equipment/ supplies and maintain inventory according to protocol.
      18.Remove and replace all used single patient care items immediately after each procedure/case.

        This position in the Social Work and Community Health (SWaCH) Department is based in West Garfield Park and will staff the Rush West Side Mental Health Center, an extension of the existing SWaCH Psychotherapy Clinic located just east in the Illinois Medical District.           This position in the Social Work and Community Health (SWaCH) Department is based in West Garfield Park and will staff the Rush West Side Mental Health Center, an extension of the existing SWaCH Psychotherapy Clinic located just east in the Illinois Medical District. This position is part of a larger initiative (Sankofa Wellness Village), specifically under the Rush Center for Community Well-Being in the Sankofa Village Wellness Center. This position will join an exciting team of individuals who are working to improve health equity on Chicago’s West Side through community engagement, mental health support, and other programming. We are looking for an individual dedicated to supporting our community and who will work collaboratively alongside other tenants of the building.

          To best support the mental health needs of this population (a need that has been consistently identified by the community through Rush’s Community Health Needs Assessment and focus groups as the Sankofa Wellness Village concept has been implemented), we are looking for candidates with a strong background in mental health treatment, including experience with medically and psychosocially complex populations, and with an interest in intervening with West Side community members and Rush patients dynamically – offering individual therapy in-person and/or via telehealth.

          This position will join a welcoming and positive work environment with access to individual and group supervision, continuing education opportunities throughout the hospital system (supported by Rush Enhancement Funds), and SWaCH is an approved site for the National Health Service Corps Loan Repayment Program (learn more at: www.nhsc.hrsa.gov/loan-repayment/nhsc-loan-repayment-program). This position is full-time and will work on site in the Sankofa Village Wellness Center to support community integration and clinical needs as we open the new Rush West Side Mental Health Center.             Responsibilities:

            • Provides patient-centered and trauma-informed psychotherapy services to adults and older adults and addresses the specialized needs of each individual, including adjusting to diagnosis and managing mood concerns as they relate to trauma, depression, anxiety, etc.
            •  Carries out comprehensive psychotherapy intake assessments (both in person and via teletherapy) to develop a plan of care for the client.
            •  Works collaboratively with psychotherapy patients and families to develop therapy goals and provide the necessary tools, skills, and resources to help achieve those goals.
            • Maintains relationship with other Rush providers through consistent and timely communication and participation in interdisciplinary meetings as scheduled.
            • Completes all documentation and billing of patient sessions and other patient interactions in Epic software.
            •  Connects patients and their families to relevant resources, both at RUSH and in the community, to address their needs.
            •  Promotes Rush University System for Health clinical services by referring clients to relevant Rush clinics.
            • Leverages experience to support team members in training, crisis management, etc. as needed.
            • Represents the department at meetings, conferences or other public engagements on an as-needed basis.
