Summary:
The Clinical Research Assistant will assist with activities of clinical research studies conducted by PI(s) which may include grant-funded, industry sponsored, and investigator-initiated clinical research studies. S/he will perform basic duties involving the collection, compilation, and documentation of clinical research data. Responsibilities:
• May assist with recruitment, screening and scheduling potential study participants.
• Assists with collection and entry of data into study case report forms and/or electronic data capture system and respond to queries in a timely manner
• May collect and assist with the submission of study related documents, study protocols and study protocol amendments for submission to the IRB per policy and procedure
• Maintains accurate and complete documentation of signed informed consent and HIPAA Authorization forms, relevant IRB approvals, source documentation, study related communication as assigned.
• May collect, process and ship potentially biohazardous specimens
• May administer structured tests and questionnaires according to research study protocols. May utilize study-related technology and equipment as part of data collection procedures
• Gather and prepare study-related materials for participants visits

Summary:
The Finance Manager at Rush Medical Group (RMG) is a pivotal leadership role overseeing comprehensive financial reporting, operational data analysis, and administrative functions. Acting as a key resource for decision-makers, the Manager collaborates with RMG Leadership, Corporate Finance, Information Services, and the Budget Office to develop and maintain analytical needs within financial reporting systems. Responsibilities include the development of fiscal productivity reporting, analysis of volumes, and active involvement in projects impacting productivity. Additionally, the Manager handles financial tasks related to proformas, lookbacks, and funds flow.
This multifaceted role extends to partnering with the Associate Vice President of RMG Finance and Perioperative Leadership across the system and a key leader in developing the annual volume budget. The Finance Manager collaborates with RMG leadership, Department Administrators, and Service Line leaders to produce ad-hoc reports addressing productivity, financial variances, and operational metrics. MD or DO candidate applicants should have neuroradiology fellowship training and/or be eligible for subspecialty CAQ certification in neuroradiology. The position is hybrid, and clinical duties include interpreting neuroradiology imaging studies and performing basic image-guided spinal procedures. The selected candidate will work closely with radiology residents, neuroradiology fellows, and medical students from Rush Medical College. In addition, the candidate will collaborate with professionals in neurology, neurosurgery, otolaryngology, orthopedics, and radiation oncology. There are opportunities to participate in administration, research, hospital committees, and quality initiatives. Research experience or interest is encouraged.

The Department comprises 52 subspecialized radiologists and 6 medical physicists and maintains an excellent long-term relationship with referring clinicians and hospital leadership. The Neuroradiology Division comprises 14 neuroradiologists actively participating in several tumor boards, teaching conferences, and research. Technical highlights include 14 clinical MRI units, 3T research MRI, 12 CT scanners (including multiple dual-energy CT systems), and 2 state-of-the-art photon-counting CTs.

The successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to clinical and academic service, including the teaching and mentoring of residents, fellows, and medical students. A proven track record of research achievement, collaborative leadership, academic excellence, and community engagement is highly desirable. The successful candidate will have an established national/international reputation and demonstrated ability to implement a strategic vision through innovation, collaboration, and accountability. The ideal candidate will hold an MD or equivalent degree, be board-certified in Neurological Surgery, and possess credentials that merit appointment at the rank of Associate Professor or Professor. They should also exhibit a deep commitment to academic innovation and possess the leadership skills necessary to guide faculty development and advancement across clinical, research, and educational missions. As a department leader, the Chairperson will provide an energetic and inventive vision for growing clinical volume, improving clinical productivity, and further defining clinical expertise within the academic framework. In addition, the Chairperson will play a key role in fostering interdisciplinary collaboration to advance clinical care and promote the growth of translational and clinical research initiatives.

The Department of Neurological Surgery at Rush University Medical Centerhas a long tradition of excellence, recognized nationally for its clinical expertise, innovative approaches, and patient-centered care. Rush Neurology and Neurological Surgery were ranked seventh in the nation, number one in Illinois by U.S. News and World Report and has been designated a Blue Distinction Center+ for spine surgery by Blue Cross Blue Shield. The department provides a full spectrum of advanced surgical procedures to diagnose and treat a broad range of complex neurological and neurosurgical conditions. Rush neurosurgeons offer expertise in open and minimally invasive brain and spine surgery, endoscopic skull base surgery, awake craniotomies, stereotactic radiosurgery, and spinal deformity correction. The team also provides comprehensive cerebrovascular care, including surgical and endovascular treatment of aneurysms, AVMs, and stroke. Functional Neurological Surgery services include deep brain stimulation, epilepsy surgery, and pain procedures, while neuro-oncology experts manage primary and metastatic brain tumors, pituitary and skull base tumors, and spinal cord neoplasms. Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances. Opportunities for increased compensation based on exceeding productivity targets. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
