OB/GYN – Family Planning/OB Hospitalist – Clinical Faculty/Physician

Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications for the position of OB/GYN Physician in the Division of Family Planning and the Division of General OB/GYN as an OB Hospitalist.

Position Requirements/Responsibilities:

•Must be board eligible or certified in both General Obstetrics and Gynecology and Complex Family Planning.

 •Must possess a strong commitment to resident/fellow education, clinical medicine, and clinical research, in accordance with Rush’s commitment to academic excellence. 

Duties & Responsibilities:

•Clinical time will be split between complex family planning and OB hospitalist. 

•CFP Clinical responsibilities will include staffing and RUSH operating room procedures and complex family planning clinics along with shifts at Planned Parenthood of Illinois 

•OB hospitalist clinical responsibilities include staffing a 10-bed labor and delivery unit with a busy high-risk obstetrical service 

The Obstetrics and Gynecology team at Rush University Medical Center utilizes a multidisciplinary team-based approach, including generalists, OB hospitalists, and sub-specialists in maternal fetal medicine, gynecologic oncology, urogynecology, reproductive endocrinology and infertility, family planning and advanced practice providers, as well as working closely with colleagues in neonatology, anesthesiology, other medical specialties, nursing and ancillary staff. Rush’s Complex Family Planning Division has an established and growing fellowship, has a busy clinical practice, is active in research and education, and builds partnerships across the Midwest to expand abortion access.

19.Assists with scheduling of patient tests, procedures, and follow-up appointments.

Summary:
The Patient Care Technician II (PCT) performs a variety of clinical and environmental tasks under the direction of the Registered Nurse. The PCT duties are of a technical nature requiring specialized training and skills including but not limited to routine (daily) utilization of phlebotomy skills. The PCT demonstrates the ability to care for patients of all ages in the clinical setting.
