Medicine-Pediatrics – Clinical Faculty/Physician

Rush University Medical Center

Chicago, IL

The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Medicine-Pediatrics, at Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, is seeking a Board Certified/Eligible Medicine-Pediatrics physician to join our clinical faculty at Rush’s on-campus outpatient clinic located in downtown Chicago.

Position Details

    • Outpatient-focused practice
    • Serve a diverse and complex patient population in Chicago
    • Faculty appointment at Assistant Professor or Associate Professor level (commensurate with experience)
    • Access to a full range of Internal Medicine and Pediatric subspecialties and comprehensive on-site diagnostic services
    • The practice provides a supportive environment with established systems and a team of 3 Medicine-Pediatrics faculty physicians and 1 Advanced Practice Provider.

    Key Responsibilities

    • Provide comprehensive care to patients across the entire lifespan, from newborns through geriatric patients and end-of-life care
    • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions in both pediatric and adult populations
    • Collaborate with physician colleagues, advanced practice providers, and interdisciplinary team members
    • Engage in quality improvement initiatives, scholarly activity, and practice development
    • ·Contribute to the academic mission of the Medical College through clinical teaching and mentorship

    Qualifications

    • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical institution
    • Completion of an accredited Medicine-Pediatrics residency program
    • Board-eligible or Board-certified in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics
    • Valid IL medical license or ability to obtain licensure
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• High School Diploma/GED required.
• Current State of Illinois Pharmacy Technician licensure required.
• Current PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) required and/or EXCPT
• Individuals licensed BEFORE January 1, 2008 are grandfathered; they are not required to become nationally certified or hold the "Certified" designation to continue working as a registered pharmacy technician in Illinois.

Summary:
The Facilities Manager supports the Director, Facilities Management in the administration of the program to manage the day-to-day facility operations and maintenance of the buildings and the various mechanical, electrical, plumbing and utility systems which support it. The Facilities Manager will also support management and administration of related facilities services, including but not limited to parking & transportation and clinical engineering. The Facilities Manager will directly oversee contracted operations in the assigned service areas; ensuring that contracted vendors deliver on contract requirement and provide for a great patient and staff experience. This position will be responsible for annual budgets and monthly variance comments as it relates to these service lines and ensuring that these services meet or exceed expectations in their service delivery. Summary:

Develops and implements concepts for Retail and Cafeteria using trend analysis and financial management principles. This individual, along with the AVP/Sr. The director and department leadership team will determine the services food and nutrition services can provide, given the staff available (qualification and competence), continually assessing and improving the performance of the operation. The incumbent ensures compliance with all applicable regulatory agencies, oversees the department quality monitors, and targets corporate and departmental policies and procedures. Oversees the HR functions (hiring, onboarding, staff development, and completion of performance appraisal, etc.) consistent with Rush’s diversity program.
7. Maintains appropriate liaison with other medical center departments. Fosters intradepartmental and interdepartmental communication through participation in regular meetings, town hall, and staff meetings.
