Rush Copley Medical Center, in Aurora, Illinois, part of the Rush University System for Health network of hospitals, is seeking a BC/BE Outpatient Family Medicine Physician to join the primary care team at the Fox Valley clinic location.

Due to significant regional growth and development, we are expanding our provider team to meet increasing patient demand. This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a collaborative team serving a thriving community.

 

Position Details

  • Rush Medical Group Primary Care offers health care for the entire family from acute illness to chronic medical issues. Our family medicine doctors see patients of all ages — from newborns to seniors.
  • 100% outpatient role with optional inpatient opportunities (if desired).
  • Clinic is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm, Saturday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, closed on Sundays.
  • Desirable schedule of 36 patient facing hours per week with 1 evening shift until 7pm and 1 Saturday morning per month.
  • Call responsibility: Each physician takes call after hours one day per week. Weekend call is shared 1:5.
  • The practice provides comprehensive primary care in a supportive environment with established systems and a team of 4.25 Family Medicine physicians.
  • This is a full-time position offering a balanced patient schedule of estimated 15-20 patients per day with an even mix of pediatric and adult patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics
  • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and support team
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
  • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
  • Participate in after-hours call rotation to ensure continuity of care for patients
  • Contribute to practice growth during our expansion phase

Qualifications:

  • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical institution
  • Board-eligible or certified in Family Medicine 
  • Valid IL medical license or ability to obtain licensure
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Summary:
The Pre- Authorization Specialist Lead is responsible for obtaining and resolving referral, precertification, and/or prior authorization to support insurance specific plan requirements for all commercial, government and other payors across hospital (inpatient & outpatient), ED, and clinic/ambulatory environments. Responsibilities:

  • Collects and properly records demographic and insurance information required to properly address the customers' financial issues. Verifies patient’s eligibility from resources provided by third party payers and portals and other on lines services.
  • Collects and analyzes demographic, insurance and other information from patients, guarantors and all other sources to accurately obtain authorization for scheduled procedure.

  • Acts as a champion of new initiatives to support management to implement new processes and workflows.
  • Assemble information concerning the patient’s clinical background and clinical information that is required for the payer to issue a referral or an authorization. Per referral guidelines, provide appropriate clinical information to the payer.
  • Contact review organizations and insurance companies to ensure prior approval requirements are met. Present necessary medical information such as history, diagnosis, and clinical notes. Provide specific medical information to financial services to maximize reimbursement to the hospital and professional service providers
  • Performs registration functions consistent with Federal, State and Local regulatory agencies and payer requirements, and organizational policies and procedures, including HIPAA privacy and security Regulations, as well as JACHO.
  • Appropriately informs the patients of hospital policies that govern the revenue cycle, the amount owed by the patients and explains hospital payment policy. Offers option of Financial Counselors to assist with arriving at acceptable resolution of estimated patient balance.
  • Receives and properly responds to, or directs telephone and electronic inquiries from patients, payers, physicians and their staff, internal department and other persons and entities. Ability to exercise exceptional customer service skills when communicating with both our patients as well as our internal customers. Able to find resolution within the phone interaction satisfactory to the caller and/or having the knowledge when to escalate to their supervisor.
  • Performs other duties as assigned for the operational effectiveness and success of the department.
  • Interacts and collaborates with numerous departments to resolve issues while also analyzing necessary information that will ensure hospital reimbursement.

Job Qualifications

Join Rush University Medical Center as a Wireless Architect (Cisco, WLAN, RF Design) and serve as the lead technical expert and escalation point for our enterprise wireless infrastructure. In this critical role, you will be responsible for the planning, design, implementation, and optimization of high-performance wireless networks (Wi-Fi/WLAN) that support both clinical and business operations across the hospital and remote sites. 

As part of a fast-paced, mission-critical healthcare environment, you will manage and enhance the reliability, security, and performance of enterprise wireless networks, leveraging technologies such as Cisco WLC, ISE, Prime, and Meraki. You will apply deep expertise in RF design, spectrum analysis, and wireless performance tuning to ensure seamless connectivity and maximum uptime for systems that directly impact patient care. 

This role partners closely with cross-functional IT, infrastructure, and clinical teams to deliver scalable solutions across WLAN, LAN, WAN, DMZ, and data center environments. You will lead initiatives focused on network performance optimization, monitoring, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement, utilizing tools such as SolarWinds, NetFlow, Syslog, and protocol analyzers. 

The ideal candidate is a seasoned wireless professional with strong experience in enterprise network architecture, Cisco wireless technologies, 802.1x network access control, and large-scale wireless deployments. Experience supporting 24/7, high-availability environments—preferably in healthcare—is highly valued. 

This is a high-impact opportunity to play a key role in maintaining and advancing a critical wireless infrastructure that supports patient care, operational continuity, and ongoing digital initiatives across Rush.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, Design, deploy, maintain, and support the hospitals wireless local area networks (WLANs) including CISCO WLCs, switches, ISE appliance, Prime Appliance and other hardware as assigned.
  • Monitor the network to ensure security of data and access privileges.
  • Analyze and resolve network hardware and software problems in a timely and accurate fashion and provide end-user assistance and training where required.
  • Conduct research on network products, services, protocols, and standards in support of network procurement and development efforts.

  • Define metrics, monitor, and test and troubleshoot network performance and provide network performance statistics and reports.
  • Recommend, schedule, and perform network improvements, upgrades, and repairs.
  • Collaborate with IT management and staff, departments, and other agencies in the development, deployment, and support of new network-based programs and applications.
  • Provide guidance and technical support to peers and serve as an escalation point for help desk related issues.
  • Develop, maintain, and ensure the accuracy and completeness of network related technical documentation as needed. Help drive a consistent set of standards for equipment, configuration, and operational procedures.
  • Coordinate with other team members, court departments and agencies to deliver solutions and configuration items without impacting hospital operations and or patient safety.
  • Communicate service disruptions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Associates degree and 9+ years of relevant experience in Wireless.
  • Subject matter expert for Cisco WLC, ISE and Prime 
  • Experience with network access control technologies such as 802.1x
  • Knowledge of RF software tools like ADS, HFSS. Experience using RF equipment such as spectrum analyzers, network analyzers and communication test boxes.
  • Knowledge of network technologies and standards (including 5G-NR, LTE, IETF transport standards (e.g., QUIC, TCP, SCTP, UDP, etc.), IP networking, 802.11 Wi-Fi QoS standards)
  • Proficient with monitoring and logging tools for access management and troubleshooting using tools such as Syslog, ACS, Netflow (Plixer scrutinizer) Solarwinds and protocol analyzers
  • SME in Wireless design and deployment
  • Prior experience using industry established project management techniques in accomplishing strategic objectives
  • Experienced with ITSM functionalities such as change control, CMDB, ticket system
  • Understanding of disaster recovery, design, implementation, and testing
  • Working knowledge routing and switching technologies
  • Strong working knowledge of IP Addressing and Subnetting, including design and implementation
  • Strong working knowledge of DNS and DHCP, including design and implementation
  • SME in supporting large wireless networks environment with Cisco and Meraki

Summary:
The Pharmacy Technician 1 assists licensed pharmacists in the practice of pharmacy performing duties such as preparing, filling, and labeling medications for patients in the Medical Center. As patient care assignments dictate, the technician I is responsive to the explicit need of neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.
