Department/division specifics:

· Seeking a full-time Endocrinologist to join our growing endocrinology team, which currently includes 4 physicians. This position will play a key role in expanding outpatient access and supporting ongoing, long-term care for patients with endocrine conditions.

Duties & Responsibilities:

· Bring excellent clinical and communication skills

· Commit to delivering high-quality care in outpatient settings

· Participate in a 1:5 call schedule

· Practice on the Rush Copley Medical Center Main Campus in Aurora, IL and Rush Yorkville in Yorkville, IL

· Collaborate with Rush Copley’s ADA-recognized Diabetes Education Center, offering nationally certified Diabetes Self-Management Training

· Provide outpatient services for children and adults with Type 1, Type 2, and gestational diabetes

This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Pay Range: $248,000 - $332,000

    Knowledge:
    1. Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required.
    2. Maintain current BLS certification.
    3.Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) (New graduates must have acceptance into an accredited school of nursing within 6 months from date of hire,
    4. Within 1 year from the date of hire, employee must be enrolled in a BSN program.
    5. RNs hired prior to 10/22/2020 are grandfathered in with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or diploma in nursing, with no further need to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BAN or BSN).
    6. Chief Nursing Officer must provide approval for any RNs with ADN degree hired after 10/22/2020, based upon unit need. ADN RNs hired after 10/22/2020 must show continued enrolment towards a BSN degree with a signature of contract stipulating a BSN degree must be completed within 3 years of hire, Failure to do so will result in termination. ADN RNS are not eligible for leveling to RN3.
    Abilities:
    1. Work requires the ability to walk throughout the Medical Center and to be standing or walking most of the designated shift.
    2. Work requires lifting or carrying objects 35-40lbs. and supporting and positioning patients, some of whom may exceed 300 lbs.

    Advanced Practice Provider - Gastroenterology Interventional - Chicago

    Gastroenterology – Interventional Advanced Practice Provider

    Under the supervision and in collaboration with board-certified gastroenterologists, the Advanced Practice Provider (APP) delivers high-quality care to patients with digestive health concerns. This role is ideal for Nurse Practitioners (NPs) or Physician Assistants (PAs) with a passion for gastroenterology and chronic disease management.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • Monday – Friday: 8:30am-5:00 PM; 36 hours of outpatient patient-facing care per week. No call required.
    • Outpatient Clinic Setting

    Clinical Care & Assessment 

    · Conduct comprehensive health histories and physical exams focused on GI-related conditions.

    · Order and interpret diagnostic tests including labs, imaging, and GI-specific screenings.

    · Develop and implement treatment plans for conditions such as GERD, IBD, IBS, liver disease, and colorectal cancer screening.

    · Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with state laws and clinical guidelines.

    Patient Education & Advocacy

    · Educate patients and families on GI conditions, lifestyle modifications, and preventive care.

    · Promote shared decision-making and informed consent.

    · Refer patients to community resources and support groups as needed.

    Care Coordination & Continuity

    · Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and care coordinators to ensure seamless patient care.

    · Provide follow-up care and monitor chronic conditions.

    · Triage patient calls and messages, ensuring timely responses and interventions.

     

    Preferred Qualifications:

    o Applicants with 2+ years of previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Gastroenterology or Surgery are preferred.

    Position Requirements:

    Nurse Practitioner:

    • Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
    • Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
    • Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)

    Physician Assistant:
