The Lab Research Assistant Lead will use medical imaging and computer-aided design software to create accurate three-dimensional models for research and clinical applications. 9.Exhibits mastery of specialized RMG Access Center processes including but not limited to questionnaires, subgroups, auto search, radiology scheduling workflows, pre-registration, message templates, and referral capture and insurance plan networks.
10.Adheres to service specialized workflows for multiple specialty departments across several service lines. Follows protocols built in Epic and documented practices scheduling requirements.
11.Responsible for accurately documenting appointment information and notifying the patient of information critical to their visit.
12.Drives and supports the RMG revenue cycle by minimizing potential financial risk of patient accounts through patient insurance registration activities. This includes discussing the patient’s financial responsibility for their upcoming visit, outstanding balances, and referral requirements based on Rush contracts.
13.Effectively completes point of service collections over the phone using secure payment processing systems via multiple payment options, such as credit/debit cards and/or payment plans.
14.Maintains a high level of understanding and acts as a patient resource for physician and ancillary service offerings, navigating the Rush campus, payment categories, and the billing procedures of Rush University Medical Group.
15.Exhibits sensitivity to patient health information and protects confidentiality. Maintains privacy at all times for patient and employee information.
16.Enhances the reputation of the RMG Access Center by fostering ownership and personal responsibility for exceeding patient service expectations through accountability for actions and decisions setting a positive example to peers, coworkers, departments, and patients.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Monday-Friday
  • Four, 10-hour shifts/week

Preferred Qualifications:

· Candidates must have a minimum of three years of Advanced Practice Provider experience in Hematology or other cancer-related specialty.

Position Requirements:

Nurse Practitioner:

  • Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
  • Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
  • Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
  • CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications

Physician Assistant:

  • Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
  • Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program
  • Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants
  • CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range: $151,000 - $202,000
