Summary:
The Phlebotomist obtains blood specimens from patients by the invasive procedure of venipuncture. Once proficient in adult and geriatric venipuncture and with additional training, the phlebotomist performs skin puncture on neonates, skin puncture or venipuncture on children and adolescents. The phlebotomist is a liaison between the physician and Rush Medical Laboratories. The phlebotomist (Laboratory Liaison Technician) is responsible for collecting specimens for routine, timed and STAT collections. The phlebotomist interacts and communicates with physicians, nurses, laboratory personnel and other members of the health care team. •Organization and Prioritization of Work15. Collects timed specimens within 30 minutes of scheduled time. Sends specimens via pneumatic tube to laboratory within 45 minutes of collection for routine collections; within 10 minutes for timed collections. Checks soiled utility rooms for specimens at the end of each sweep.
•Keeps work area, phlebotomy cart, and personal appearance, neat, clean, and organized.
•Stocks supplies at the appropriate level and does not overstock supplies. Replenishes supplies at the end of the shift.
•Notifies appropriate personnel (supervisor, physician, and nurse) of problems or unusual situations encountered, for example, missed collections and patient unavailability, promptly. Attempts to resolve problems thoroughly before reporting to a supervisor.
•Performs LIS order entry correctly. Double checks orders in computer versus requisition to avoid mistakes and order omissions.
•Performs specimen accessioning and specimen processing. Advises physicians and nurses on how to order and schedule specimen collections in Clinical Provider Order Entry (CPOE).
•Documents on the clipboard (NCC) and collection set labels for missed or delayed draws with rare exception.
•Collections, Cancels and reschedules laboratory orders via communication with ordering physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse. Cancels and documents the same in LIS. Clears collection pending report at the end of shift.
•Participates willingly when asked to participate in special projects or events, for example health screenings and medical student phlebotomy training classes. Gathers data or examples of orders or specimen collections for recurrent problems, for example order modification process for CPOE/EPIC orders.
•Acts as "tech-in- charge for specified periods of time. Oversee operations according to departmental guidelines. Understands when to defer issues to appropriate personnel, for example a supervisor or director, and does so.

Summary:
The Pharmacist may fill the role of a number of different positions in the department. The Pharmacist may work in central operations, or in a satellite. He/she may work a day, evening, or overnight shifts. The shift the Pharmacist works will reflect the training and skill set that the pharmacist has. Operations role: The scope shall include operational responsibility for order verification, IV therapy, total parenteral nutrition, automated dispensing cabinets (ADC), oral drug compounding/repackaging, dispensing and delivery of medications. Assessment of current IV clean rooms with USP 797 regulations including necessary staff education will also be a focus. Central Pharmacy/Satellite role: Reviewing and verifying medication orders in Epic for accuracy and safety. Under the general direction of the Principal Investigator and Supervising Data Scientist for the Rush Interdisciplinary Consortium for Critical Care Trials and Data Science (RICCC), the Data Scientist will independently develop and execute complex data analysis and statistical modeling projects. The individual will use machine learning and computational methods to preprocess and analyze electronic healthcare record data. Databases will include critical care and ICU datasets, including CLIF (Common Longitudinal ICU Data Format, www.clif-icu.com), Epic Cosmos data, and multi-center clinical trial data. 

Summary:
This position is responsible supporting our clinical and financial analytics projects using Big Data technologies. The ideal candidate is adept at using large data sets to find opportunities for clinical and financial optimization and using models to test the effectiveness of different courses of action. They must have course work or experience using a variety of data mining/data analysis methods, using a variety of data tools, building and implementing models, using/creating algorithms and creating/running simulations. They must be comfortable working with a wide range of stakeholders and functional teams. The right candidate will have a passion for discovering solutions hidden in large data sets and working with stakeholders to improve business outcomes. Required Job Qualifications:
•Bachelor degree in statistics, bioinformatics, mathematics, data science or equivalent field.
•3 years of experience of clinical research or analytics working with relational databases in a healthcare or hospital environment.
•Experience using statistical computer languages (SAS, SPSS, R, Python, SLQ, etc.) to manipulate data and draw insights from data sets.
•Strong understanding of clinical trial process and clinical technology.
•Knowledge of statistical and data mining techniques.
•Experience managing disparate data sets and using quantitative and qualitative analysis.
•Experience in a fast-paced environment and in managing multiple priorities effectively.
•Experience presenting data to a variety of audiences.
•Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
•Analytical, multi-tasking and problem solving skills.
•PC proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Word).

Responsibilities:

•Identifies improvement opportunities in reporting and BI tools and collaborate with Products Technology to implement enhancements.
•Collaborates with key leaders and clinicians to build analytical acumen across all analytic roles.
•Develops prototypes, test methods and algorithms. Leverages emerging statistical methodologies to drive innovative analytical solutions to create insights from clinical data.
•Utilizes operational analytics and project management tools to optimize execution of programs and studies, to manage internal and external resources, to track study progress, and to prepare study status reports.
•Anticipates and identifies issues that could affect timelines or quality and develops options and solutions.
