Summary:
The Faculty & Provider Recruiter plans, coordinates, implements, and directs all activities for the recruitment and hiring of primary care and specialty care physicians and advanced practice providers for the Rush System. This position advises and collaborates with senior management within the organization with regard to physician and advanced practice provider recruitment and retention, staffing budgetary compliance, hiring strategies, search/selection committee management, and recruitment. The Faculty & Provider Recruiter must maintain key working relationships with the Rush University Medical Center, Rush Oak Park Hospital, and Rush Copley Medical Center: Department Heads, Primary and Specialty Care, Clinic Chiefs of Professional Services, Hospital, Clinic and Departmental Administrative Management, administrative and support staff, Rush University Medical Center residency and fellowship programs, regional and national physician associations and societies, independent recruitment firms (temporary and permanent provider staffing), and external vendors (ie., advertising agencies, moving companies, realtors). Exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

•Bachelor's Degree or may accept 7+ years of progressively responsible healthcare experience in place of degree
•Three years' experience in a related field or related healthcare background in physician or provider recruitment and physician practice management in either a community hospital or academic setting.
•History of working closely with physicians in a related healthcare business discipline.

Responsibilities:
1.Advise and strategize with the Medical Director, Associate Medical Directors, Department Heads, Regional Assistant Medical Directors, Chiefs of Professional Services, Regional/Clinic Site Managers, and Administrative Directors regarding recruitment, candidate interview and hiring processes for Rush faculty and providers.
2.Develop, plan, implement and manage all methods to generate candidates, including national/local/Internet advertising, direct mail, resident-related events and activities, marketing and promotional materials, and website development and maintenance. Develop and maintain the provider on-line application system and process.
3.Manage all aspects of Rush faculty and provider recruitment and hiring. This includes screening and responding to candidate inquiries; contacting and discussing opportunities, candidate qualifications and best clinic/practice match; presenting candidate to Department Head/clinic/department for employment consideration; overseeing preparation of itinerary and interview site visit(s) processes; following up with candidate/department to determine continued interest; negotiating terms of employment; generating offer and employment letters; initiating post-hiring processes with internal onboarding team; coordinating household moving process with candidate and vendors.
4.Provide consultative faculty and provider recruitment services to internal Rush customers (ie., Department Heads, Chiefs of Professional Services, VP) and external customers (ie., affiliated clinics and healthcare organizations). This involves marketing the Medical Affairs recruitment services, including strategies and interview processes, methods to generate candidate leads, and negotiation of independent recruitment firm contracts and candidate contracts.
5.Develop and implement an annual Rush faculty and provider recruitment and retention plan. This may include coordinating physician recruitment and retention activities; selecting and attending national and local medical conferences; planning and attending resident recruitment activities and events; developing marketing brochures and promotional pieces; networking with local and national colleagues through the Illinois Staff Physician Recruiters Association (ISPR) and the Association for Advancing Physician and Provider Recruitment (AAPPR); and attending related educational functions.
6.Provide consultative service regarding budgetary guidelines as they relate to: consulting with Associate Medical Directors regarding the addition of positions to departments under their supervision; collaborating with Department Heads and Chiefs of Professional Services regarding the ability to hire versus clinic/department budget; developing and placing associated advertising; advising Department Heads in candidate salary offer negotiations; negotiating candidate household moving estimates with national moving companies; etc.

7. Act as a strategic partner to hiring Faculty Physicians and Advanced Practice Providers in several Service Lines including Cardiology, Vascular Surgery, Endocrinology, Nephrology and Infectious Diseases.

Responsibilities:
With a high degree of accuracy collects, verifies and enters into Epic the patient's demographic, employer, financial, emergency contact, insurance, subscriber and case-specific information, such as referring physician and diagnosis.
2.Consistently has patient sign and scan all necessary documents for completion of the admission process; consent, ID, insurance card, MIMS, OBS, COB, etc.
3.Consistently and accurately obtains and interpret the patient's insurance benefits and possess the ability to communicate this information accurately to the patient and co-workers.
4.Has the ability to determine the patient's financial obligation and communicate this information accurately and with respect to the patient.
5.Performs registration functions consistent with Federal, State and Local regulatory agencies and payer requirements, and organizational policies and procedures, including HIPAA privacy and security Regulations, as well as JACHO.
6.Upon decision of patient’s admission, has the knowledge and skill to perform the admission notification (NOA) process which is a required communication with the patient’s payer to ensure that the payment for patient’s inpatient stay is secured.
7.Appropriately informs the patients of hospital policies that govern the revenue cycle. Minimizes the potential financial risk of patients accounts by discussing with the patient and/or guarantor their financial responsibility for upcoming visits/procedures, past due balances and referral requirements. Offers options and negotiates acceptable resolution of estimated patient balance.
8.Receives and properly responds to, or directs telephone inquiries from patients, payers, physicians and their staff, internal department and other persons and entities.
9..Ability to exercise good customer service skills when communicating with both our patients as well as our internal customers. Able to find resolution within the phone interaction satisfactory to the caller and/or having the knowledge when to escalate to their supervisor.

The RUSH Access Center Specialist I manages all clinical and non-clinical calls and performs clinic activities including routine and advanced scheduling, basic triage, message taking, and referral management. The RUSH Access Center Specialist I collaborates with Access Center team members and practice staff to meet overall access, revenue cycle and scheduling objectives while exceeding customers’ expectations. Responsibilities:
1.Answers all telephone calls within your work assignment as designated by your leadership with the goals of accurately scheduling patients as determined by departmental and Epic guidelines.
2.Evaluates non-scheduling related patient inquiries including clinical related calls; routes and escalates all inquiries following departmental and epic clinical guidelines inclusive of warm transfers to RN triage and/or to clinics.
3.Assesses the caller’s need and responds with critical judgment and ensures the appropriate resolution for the inquiry or issue. Understands when to escalate calls to nurse, and/or RUSH Access Center leadership.
4.Responsible for leveraging Salesforce and Genesys platforms to optimize patient interactions and workflow efficiency. Ensures accurate documentation, routing, and resolution of patient inquiries through integrated systems.
5.Proactively monitor areas of concern or uncertainty relating to the practices and suggest possible resolutions around access Epic build issues.
6.Exhibits strong understanding of specialized RUSH Access Center processes including but not limited to questionnaires, subgroups, auto search, pre-registration, message templates, radiology workflows, and referral capture and insurance plan networks.
7.Adheres to service specialized workflows for multiple specialty departments. Follows protocols built in Epic and documented practices scheduling requirements.
8.Responsible for accurately documenting appointment information and notifying the patient of information critical to their visit.
9.Drives and supports the RUSH revenue cycle by minimizing potential financial risk of patient accounts through patient insurance registration activities. This includes but is not limited to discussing the patient’s financial responsibility for their upcoming visit, outstanding balances, and referral requirements based on Rush contracts.
10.Effectively completes point of service collections over the phone using secure payment processing systems via multiple payment options, such as credit/debit cards and/or payment plans.
11.Maintains a high level of understanding and acts as a patient resource for physician and ancillary service offerings, navigating the Rush campus, payment categories, and the billing procedures of Rush University.
12.Exhibits sensitivity to patient health information and protects confidentiality. Always maintains privacy for patient and employee information.
13.Enhances the reputation of the RUSH Access Center by fostering ownership and personal responsibility for exceeding patient service expectations through accountability for actions and decisions setting a positive example to peers, coworkers, departments and patients.

Summary:
The Phlebotomist obtains blood specimens from patients by the invasive procedure of venipuncture. Once proficient in adult and geriatric venipuncture and with additional training, the phlebotomist performs skin puncture on neonates, skin puncture or venipuncture on children and adolescents. The phlebotomist is a liaison between the physician and Rush Medical Laboratories. The phlebotomist (Laboratory Liaison Technician) is responsible for collecting specimens for routine, timed and STAT collections. The phlebotomist interacts and communicates with physicians, nurses, laboratory personnel and other members of the health care team. •Organization and Prioritization of Work15. Collects timed specimens within 30 minutes of scheduled time. Sends specimens via pneumatic tube to laboratory within 45 minutes of collection for routine collections; within 10 minutes for timed collections. Checks soiled utility rooms for specimens at the end of each sweep.
•Keeps work area, phlebotomy cart, and personal appearance, neat, clean, and organized.
•Stocks supplies at the appropriate level and does not overstock supplies. Replenishes supplies at the end of the shift.
•Notifies appropriate personnel (supervisor, physician, and nurse) of problems or unusual situations encountered, for example, missed collections and patient unavailability, promptly. Attempts to resolve problems thoroughly before reporting to a supervisor.
•Performs LIS order entry correctly. Double checks orders in computer versus requisition to avoid mistakes and order omissions.
•Performs specimen accessioning and specimen processing. Advises physicians and nurses on how to order and schedule specimen collections in Clinical Provider Order Entry (CPOE).
•Documents on the clipboard (NCC) and collection set labels for missed or delayed draws with rare exception.
•Collections, Cancels and reschedules laboratory orders via communication with ordering physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse. Cancels and documents the same in LIS. Clears collection pending report at the end of shift.
•Participates willingly when asked to participate in special projects or events, for example health screenings and medical student phlebotomy training classes. Gathers data or examples of orders or specimen collections for recurrent problems, for example order modification process for CPOE/EPIC orders.
•Acts as "tech-in- charge for specified periods of time. Oversee operations according to departmental guidelines. Understands when to defer issues to appropriate personnel, for example a supervisor or director, and does so.
