PLANS THE DELIVERY OF NURSING CARE FOR PATIENTS IN COORDINATION WITH THE HEALTHCARE TEAM
1.Provides consultation in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of individualized patient care for specific patients and their families, based on patients' growth and development needs.

MAINTANENCE OF HEMOSTASIS

•Performs appropriate actions as identified in Standard of Care for Arterial Puncture sites (to be developed).
•Recognizes signs of possible hematoma formation.

UNIT RESPONSIBILITIES
•Checks refrigerator/freezer temperatures and documents on appropriate log, notify nursing management of any temperature discrepancies.
•Notify MCE when defrosting of refrigerators is needed (notify Operating Room Education and Quality Coordinator. Notify Charge Nurse of any environmental or safety hazard, which are unresolved and additional assistance, is needed. 20. Greet patient and parent/guardian upon arrival and escort him/her to sleep room. Educate patient and family member(s) on overnight and morning procedures, answering any questions. Interview patient to obtain information needed for completion of pre-test paperwork.
21. Set up and calibrate monitoring equipment. Select appropriate recording montage.
22. Apply electrodes and other recording devices to patient and verify their proper function.

29. Call 24-hour technical support line for assistance as needed.
30. Assist patient with needs during procedure in order to obtain the required sleep/wake data.
31. Understand indications, contraindications and adverse effects of continuous and bilevel positive airway pressure as well as oxygen administration.
32. Apply and titrate positive airway pressure and oxygen therapy based on physician order and in accordance with established policies and procedures.
33. Wake patient and record post-test calibrations.
34. Gently remove all electrodes and transducers from patient and allow time for clean-up. Have patient complete post-test paperwork. Discharge patient.
35. Perform confirmation call and leave shift report with appropriate contacts.
36. Recognize and respond appropriately and quickly to patient physiologic events.
37. Safely lift/move patients and equipment, using proper body mechanics.
38. Ensure safety and welfare of all patients, including those with special needs.
39. Check availability and function of emergency equipment.
40. Comply with Universal Precautions at all times.
41. Properly and thoroughly disinfect/sterilize equipment, electrodes and transducers.
42. Appropriately handle all hazardous materials.
43. Conduct Multiple Sleep Latency and Maintenance of Wakefulness Testing.
44. Conduct testing of adult and pediatric patients.
45. Conduct in-lab seizure monitoring.
46. Conduct PAP Nap protocols and other mask desensitization procedures whenever required by center.

Summary:
The Department of Financial Planning and Decision Support is a collaborative, data driven team who, through the use of technology, facilitates decision making throughout Rush in support of its mission, vision, values and strategies. This is an entry level (individual contributor) Healthcare Finance position with exposure Planning, Budgeting, and Forecasting. As an integral member of this team, the Senior Decision Support Analyst will be responsible for determining the best and appropriate ways to: compile data for presentation and/or analysis; identify issues, problems or significant aspects of that data; provide a resource and customer service liaison which effectively and efficiently supports decision makers within our department and throughout Rush. The position should understand the strategic priorities of the department and organization and ask questions to clarify that understanding. Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business (Accounting or Finance).
  • Five years of experience in financial analysis or financial planning or the equivalent combination of education, training and experience where the required skillset has been acquired.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; Access a plus.
  • Familiarity problem-solving, financial analytics and data mining.
  • Strong communication skills (oral, written, presentation).

Responsibilities:

  • Prepares routine reports for management distribution (i.e. income statement variances, volume, FTEs, space, etc.)
  • Coordinates/compiles data submission for Benchmarking and Productivity.
  • Develop/support new EPIC transactional cube and Cogito Star DataMart reporting and functionality.
  • Monthly data loads to budget system and dashboard/report development.
  • Supports the annual operating and capital budget processes as well as interim reforecasts.
  • Provide basic training and support to external departments.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
