Rush Medical Group is currently seeking Interventional Radiologists to join our expanding department. This is an excellent opportunity to collaborate with a dedicated team of providers and contribute to nationally recognized clinical programs that promote exceptional, coordinated patient care. The successful candidate will serve as a full-time physician at Rush University Medical Center, located in downtown Chicago. Candidates must be board-certified or board-eligible in IR/DR. The IR department at Rush has an excellent collaborative relationship with Vascular Surgery, Transplant Surgery, Hepatology, Oncology/Oncologic Surgery, Urology and Gynecology with robust workflow. The IR department is clinically oriented with a very busy inpatient consult and outpatient clinic volume. The department currently has 7 faculty and 4 APPs. The program also has 4 categorical integrated IR/DR (increasing to 5 in 2026), 2 independent IR/DR resident and one advanced VIR fellowship positions per year.

Our department performs the whole spectrum of vascular and interventional procedures including, complex portal venous (TIPSS, PARTO, etc), complex critical limb ischemia procedures including deep venous arterialization (DVA), pedal recanalizations, aortic stent grafts for aneurysms and dissections, complex venous recanalizations, IVC filter placement and removal, all aspects of interventional oncologic procedures including radioembolization, chemoembolization, microwave, IRE, cryoablation, vertebral augmentation, biopsies, fibroid and AVM embolization, transjugular biopsy, dialysis interventions including percutaneous AV access creation and percutaneous peritoneal dialysis catheter placement, tunneled catheter placements (port/dialysis catheters), etc. We have a busy service starting the day at 6 am with morning rounds and performing around 30-35 cases. Call will be one weekday and shared evenly throughout the year for weekends.

All IR faculty participate in multidisciplinary conferences, research publications, hospital committees, and quality initiatives. The selected candidate will work closely with IR/DR residents and medical students from Rush Medical College and collaborate professionally and academically with professionals from surgery specialties, oncology, hepatology, gastroenterology, urology, radiation oncology, and organ transplant services. Familiarity with clinical practice model and research experience or interest are preferred.

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Job Components
Performs Laboratory Testing
Utilizes required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as defined by the lab area. Labels and processes specimens properly. Performs all laboratory procedures efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision once trained. All testing must be done following Rush-approved Policies and Procedures. Acts as a technical resource for the testing area.
Quality Control and Preventative Maintenance
Performs required quality control (QC) procedures and preventative maintenance, including corrective action and documentation, for all procedures and instrumentation. Recognizes QC problems or discrepancies and attempts to determine the cause of the problem. Notifies the appropriate supervisor or designee regarding QC problems or discrepancies according to the established procedure. Acts as a resource for identifying and solving quality control issues and escalating these when appropriate.
Troubleshooting
Performs basic and advanced troubleshooting of equipment and processes with minimal assistance, documents action and notifies appropriate personnel, for example, supervisors, of problems all of the time. Demonstrates troubleshooting proficiency and therefore rarely needs to seek additional help.
Organization of Work Area
Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and well-stocked at all times. Disinfect area at the beginning and end of each shift.
Specimen Acceptability
Accepts no inappropriate specimens. Notifies the appropriate person of specimens that must be drawn or collected again and documents the notification.
Turnaround Time Expectations
Meets turnaround time expectations by prioritizing and organizing the workload for the shift. Monitors the pending list periodically to ensure turnaround time of all samples.
Time Management
Utilizes time effectively and seeks out additional job duties when shift tasks are complete. Completes work without incurring overtime. Assists fellow workers in finishing shift tasks. Adheres to the defined allotted time for breaks and lunch
Continuing Education
Required to obtain and document 12 hours of laboratory continuing education per year. Required to prepare and present a minimum if 15 minutes of continuing education within the department.
Special Projects
Accepts and/or volunteers for method evaluations and new procedure development or other special projects and completes them within an agreed-upon time frame. Participates in procedure implementation and training of new staff and students. Required to identify and participate in process improvement project
Tech-in-Charge
Required to perform the duties of the tech-in-charge for specified periods. Oversee operations according to departmental guidelines. Understands when to defer issues to appropriate personnel, for example, a supervisor or director, and does so.
Report Reviewing and Results Reporting
Reviews lab results as required and takes appropriate action before verification and release. Recognizes and calls critical results within defined time frames. Reviews paper-generated results and transcribes them accurately into the Lab Information System

Rush University System for Health (RUSH) and the Rush MD Anderson Cancer Center invites applications for the position of inpatient Gynecologic Oncology Advanced Practice Provider (APP). This provider will practice at Rush’s main downtown Chicago location on a four-day, ten-hour schedule (weekdays only). This inpatient role will support OR activity, post-operative patient care, inpatient chemotherapy, inpatient rounding and quality initiatives alongside six Gynecologic Oncologists and one fellow inpatient APP.

 

*APRN candidates must be acute care certified. Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Oncology, Gynecology and/or surgical specialty, preferred.

Position Summary:

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provider all aspects of care including acute care, well care and chronic care in the urgent care setting for patients of all ages.

Nurse Practitioner:

• Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse

• Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position

• Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)

• Maintains State of Illinois and Federal DEA license

• Must maintain Rush University Medical Center (RUMC), Rush Oak Park Hospital (ROPH), and Rush Copley Medical Center (RCMC) clinical privileges, as applicable.

• CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.

• Excellent communicator

• Experience treating patients of all ages

• Procedural experience (simple laceration repair, I&D)

Physician Assistant:

• Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate

• Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program

• Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

• Must maintain Rush University Medical Center (RUMC), Rush Oak Park Hospital (ROPH), and Rush Copley Medical Center (RCMC) clinical privileges, as applicable

• Excellent communicator

• Experience treating patients of all ages

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Pay Range: $124,610 - $175,000 (603)

Required Job Qualifications:
•Must demonstrate, after training, skill and controlling of cleaning equipment.
•Must be able to demonstrate skills and knowledge of proper use of chemicals and equipment in cleaning, to achieve desired results.
•Must be able to 10 Step Clean and isolation clean a patient room, cycle clean OR and L&D suites, and terminal clean areas as needed.
•Must be able to use Bed Tracking System.
•Must demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
•Must have neat personal appearance.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
•High school graduate or G.E.D., ability to understand written English and oral instructions.
•Prior cleaning experience helpful, but not essential.
Physical Demands:
•Stand, walk and stoop often while performing duties.
•Must be able to push, pull, and control cleaning equipment and materials up to 150 pounds in weight and move large trash objects and containers.

Responsibilities:
•10 Step Cleaning
•Vacuum carpeted areas.
•Dry and wet mop hard floors.
•Clean and polish metal surfaces.
•Perform "Discharge Cleaning" as assigned./Utilize Bed Tracking System
•Spot clean windows.
•Clean water fountains.
•Clean public telephones.
•Clean all restrooms.
•Empty waste receptacles and remove waste.
•Maintain all supplies in assigned supply storage area and keep neat clean and organized.
•Clean all upholstered furniture.
•Clean emergency spills and floods.
•Maintain and operate floor burnishers.
•Wash walls and ceilings as assigned.
•Perform special projects such as hanging drapes and cubicle curtains.
•Clean and maintain equipment and request repairs as needed.
•Report any deficiencies observed in equipment, furniture or fixtures (e.g., needed painting, burnt out exit lights, stained ceiling lights, broken fixtures etc.)
•Sign In and Out pagers, keys and equipment.
•Clean rolling stock, hospital equipment and related items.
•Accountable for cleanliness and neat appearance of assigned area, and that the schedule is complete and all instructions are followed so that the area will pass inspection of supervisors, managers, and administrative personnel.
•Return all soiled dry/wet mops to designated areas.
