Summary:
The Service Line Coordinator’s primary function is to serve as the clinical nursing expert and lead in a specific area of specialization. This role facilitates the direct clinical activities for nursing and support personnel necessary to ensure the highest level of professional and technical operating room care practices. The Service Line Coordinator serves as the primary resource or “go to” person for the service line addressing quality, safety, education, technology, and orientation/competency for the nurses and surgeons under their purview. The Service Line Coordinator exemplifies the Rush mission, vision, and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

Physical Demands:
•Work requires the ability to walk throughout the Medical Center and to be standing or walking most of the designated shift.

Responsibilities:
1.Serves as primary clinical nursing expert in area(s) of specialization.
2.Oversees nursing interventions across the total range of complexity and evaluates the patient’s response to treatment.
3.Constantly seeks process improvement opportunities regarding supple utilization and charge captures.
4.Acts as the primary liaison between the patient, surgeon, nursing and technical staff.
5.Provides education and support to the patients, and co-workers in the service line. Serves as a patient advocate at all times.
6.Treats patients, family member, surgeons, and all members of the health care team with courtesy and respect.
7.Collaborates with the interdisciplinary surgical team to identify patients with special needs; facilitate the flow of operative cases as to minimize delays in the operating room, and ensure availability of necessary equipment, instruments, and specialty products.
8.Anticipates needs and pursues opportunities to be of service to patients, families and all members of the health care team.
9.Works with the Education/Quality Coordinator to assure onboarding/orientation of new hires, s, training, annual competency validation, and learning opportunities are available in the area of specialty.
10.Elevates surgeon and anesthesia concerns to the AUD/UD team. Also brings topics for potential investigation to the Nursing Quality/UAC group. Coordinates peer review of nursing quality and safety issues for the service line.
11.Analyzes multi-system effects of disease processes on patients’ health status and communicates all relevant factors to medical/nursing staff.
12.Partners with others to identify and remove barriers that affect patient outcomes and facilitate solutions at a patient, unit, or system level
13.Assures judicious utilization of supplies and equipment during the peri-operative period. Monitors utilization statistics and adjust preference cards as needed.
14.Assures accuracy and implementation of computerized OR record, physician preference and case cart forms.
15.Implements surgical instrument/equipment preparation, processing and management protocols. In coordination with attending surgeons, provides area specific expertise regarding equipment, instrumentation, and specialty product needs.

17.Facilitates evaluation of state-of-the-art equipment and instrumentation consistent with the preferences/requests of the attending surgeons and Operating Room initiatives.

19.Functions as a role model of nursing excellence in both the circulating and scrub functions of operating room nursing.
20.Provides guidance in helping nursing team members establish clinical priorities to meet each patient’s unique needs.
21.Assures that all aspects of nursing care are age specific and appropriate
22.Accepts responsibility to participate in cases outside of his/her areas(s) of specialty as delegated

Summary:

The Supervisor, Pharmacy oversees, manages, and directs the pharmacy's clinical and administrative day-to-day operations including appropriate distributive and clinical pharmacy activities and related services as they pertain to providing safe and effective infusion therapies (in accordance with State, Federal, JCAHO and OSHA regulations) for Rush North & Harlem Pharmacy. 1. Responsible for the direct supervision of the Pharmacy Technicians.

4. Coordinates with the Manager - HDM Operations to ensure economic purchase of sufficient inventory of generic and brand name medications and supplies.

Pay Range: $31.47 - $52.87 per hour

Summary:
Join a mission-driven team at Rush as an Information Systems Associate Project Manager, where you’ll contribute to high-impact clinical integration and IT initiatives that directly support patient care. In this role, you’ll collaborate with cross-functional teams—including physicians and key stakeholders—to define project scope, track progress, manage risks, and deliver results that align with organizational goals. Prior experience managing projects in a healthcare setting is strongly preferred, as this role requires navigating clinical workflows and understanding the unique needs of a healthcare environment. Responsibilities:

  • Collaborates with Team in establishing ground rules and charter.
  • Ensures project scope is clearly defined; develop and manage project plan to meet deliverables.
  • Participate in completion of project documentation and recommend readiness management review.
  • Participates with execution of scope change management and project close-out processes.
  • Tracks overall project budget and metrics.
  • Participates with project team members through the project management process; ensure team is working within project scope and addressing questions for next project review.
  • Documents project plan in Project Management (PM) software and maintain project documentation.
  • Manages cross-functional project timeline and follow-up with project team members to ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Proactively identify and manage project opportunities/ issues/ risks.
  • Collaborates with representatives from appropriate functional areas to meet project objectives.
  • Drives for results and timely decision-making and resolves project team conflicts Accountability / Scope/Budget.
  • Manages projects with representation from all key functional areas.
  • Responsible for identifying critical project issues and risks, and timely communication to leadership.
  • Provides cross-functional forecasting, tracking, reporting and oversight on project budget and expenditures as required.
  • Data profiling clinical data as required.
  • Work primarily on clinical integration projects but will assist in additional projects as needed.
  • Work directly with physicians and stakeholders as necessary to deliver the best outcomes for Rush Health.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Job Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 0-2 years of project support experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (WORD, Excel, PowerPoint & Project).
  • Clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Analytical, multi-tasking and problem-solving skills.

Preferred Job Qualifications:

  • PMP certification
  • 2+ Years in a healthcare related field
  • Experience in Data / Business Analyst role
