Pay Range: $35.00 - $53.55 per hour

Summary:
The RN 1 is a beginning level nurse who utilizes a scientific and theoretical knowledge base along with policy and procedures, standards of care and protocols to guide practice. The RN 1 relies on the experience, judgment and support of others while developing knowledge in practice. Knowledge:
1.Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required.
2.Maintain current BLS certification.
3.Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) (New graduates must have acceptance into an accredited school of nursing within 6 months from date of hire,
4. Within 1 year from the date of hire, employee must be enrolled in a BSN program.
5. RNs hired prior to 10/22/2020 are grandfathered in with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or diploma in nursing, with no further need to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BAN or BSN).
6. Chief Nursing Officer must provide approval for any RNs with ADN degree hired after 10/22/2020, based upon unit need. ADN RNs hired after 10/22/2020 must show continued enrolment towards a BSN degree with a signature of contract stipulating a BSN degree must be completed within 3 years of hire, Failure to do so will result in termination. ADN RNS are not eligible for leveling to RN3.
Abilities:
1.Work requires the ability to walk throughout the Medical Center and to be standing or walking most of the designated shift.
2.Work requires lifting or carrying objects 35-40lbs. and supporting and positioning patients, some of whom may exceed 300 lbs.
3.The ability to check documents for errors, use a keyboard to enter or retrieve data, and closely examine specimens, images or reports is required.
4.Work conditions include performing procedures where carelessness could result in injury or illness and/or contact with potentially infectious materials and/or strong chemical agents.

    Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, is seeking an experienced Neonatal Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join its Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatology. We care for critically ill infants who are born at Rush and/or transferred in from network hospitals. Our patient mix ranges from extremely preterm infants to those with complex surgical needs.

    Our center has had consistent excellent outcomes in several major neonatal morbidities in very low birth weight infants within the Vermont Oxford Network. The Division partners with Obstetrics and Pediatric subspecialists to provide prenatal care and consultation through our multidisciplinary Fetal-Neonatal Center. Our productive NICU Human Milk research team at Rush conducts clinical and translational research in diverse areas: clinical, neurodevelopmental, and economic outcomes associated with mother’s own milk and donor milk, disparities in lactation, maternal, infant and milk microbiome, human milk science, and lactation physiology.

    The expectation for this role would be to care for a complex set of patients and work collaboratively with neonatologists, neonatal fellows, pediatric residents, and fellow Advanced Practice Providers. Responsibilities would include delivery room attendance and management, direct patient care, neonatal procedures, and neonatal transport. The schedule for this position rotates and is handled through self-scheduling within guidelines.

    Duties & Responsibilities:

    • The schedule includes 10-hour day shifts, 16-hour overnight shifts from 4pm – 8am, and 24-hour shifts (24-hour shifts are not required).
    • The Renée Schine Crown Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) is a Level-3, 72 bed (single-roomed), state-of-the-art unit.

      The Clinical Research Coordinator II (CRC II) independently coordinates assigned aspects of clinical research studies across a range of disciplines. Responsibilities include participant recruitment and retention, study data management, regulatory documentation submission and maintenance, communication with sponsors and institutional stakeholders, and monitoring of study compliance. The CRC II executes study protocols with increasing independence, identifies and resolves routine operational issues, contributes to process improvements, and may assist in mentoring less experienced staff.

      Job Responsibilities:

      Summary:
      The Lead Radiation Therapist provides leadership, training and guidance to lower-level staff, supports the Manager and performs complex and specialized radiation oncology work. Under the direction of the Manager, the Radiation Therapist Lead may develop training and provide orientation for new therapists and/or students, review and propose updates to procedure manuals and protocols, integrate new technical procedures and coordinate group projects. The incumbent also assists the Manager in identifying problems, recommending solutions and assisting in the improvement of technical and patient service programs. Therapists at this level are expected to have a thorough understanding and proficiency in the procedures performed in the Radiation Oncology Department.
