Pay Range: $63.10 - $94.02 per hour

Summary:
The Director of Access Capacity Management Strategy and Analytics provides enterprise-wide leadership for strategizing the optimization of access that includes “front door” pathways to the health system to ensure patients can connect to care efficiently, seamlessly, and in alignment with organizational goals. Serving as the system’s subject matter expert on capacity management, this role oversees strategy, design, and execution of initiatives that enhance patient flow, provider utilization, and scheduling efficiency across the clinical enterprise. The Director will oversee a team of analysts and partner closely with senior leaders, operational managers, physicians, department Chairs and IT to remove barriers to care, drive innovation, and deliver measurable improvements in access performance.
Responsibilities:
Strategic Leadership:
• Define and execute the system-wide vision for access for the enterprise and capacity optimization.
• Translate strategic goals into actionable initiatives, aligning technology, process, and operational workflows to meet patient demand and growth objectives.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to executive leadership, Physicians and department Chairs on access-related strategy, policy, and innovation.
Capacity & Template Management:
• Develop an enterprise Capacity Management team and infrastructure to optimize and oversee scheduling templates, guidelines, and capacity planning tools to maximize provider availability and patient throughput.
• to Lead audits and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure scheduling practices aligned with policies, operational needs, and patient experience standards.
• To Champion alternative access solutions such as e-services, online scheduling, and virtual care integration.
Technology & Analytics:
• Partner with IT and Epic leadership to implement and optimize advanced scheduling and capacity management tools.
• Leverage analytics to monitor KPIs, identify trends, and inform decision-making.
• Introduce emerging best practices and national innovations in access management.
Operational Excellence:
• Drive sustainable improvement in key access metrics, including new patient volumes, appointment lead times, and utilization rates.
• Align departmental workflows with organizational priorities.
• Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
People Leadership:
• Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing capacity management team.
• Build consensus across diverse stakeholders, influencing without authority where needed.
• Promote open communication, innovation, and cross-functional problem-solving.
Required Job Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field.
• Minimum of 10 years in healthcare management
• Demonstrated expertise in Epic Template Management and Cadence Configuration.
• Proven success implementing large-scale process improvements and technology-driven solutions.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience engaging senior leaders and physicians.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to turn data into strategic action.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
• Experience launching or transforming a capacity management function in a complex healthcare environment.
• Background in physician group practice operations and ancillary scheduling.
• Certification in Epic or relevant applications.
