The Service Coordinator works with families located in Chicago's north side neighborhoods, up to and including Evanston and requires travel to these locations.

Summary:
The Service Coordinator I with Child and Family Connections assists in determining eligibility for designated services and enables families to receive their rights, procedural safeguards, and services that are authorized under the state’s early intervention program. The Service Coordinator builds relationships that include providing information to families and coordinating information among multiple service providers. The service coordinator maximizes the use of existing resources and refers families to any other needed services, tailoring the unique circumstances of each individual child and family. Required Job Qualifications:
•Bachelor’s degree in a related human service field such as early childhood special education, social work or psychology.
•Must meet requirements to obtain Illinois Department of Human Services Part C Early Intervention Service Coordination Credential.
•Successful completion of state-sponsored Service Coordinator, Systems Overview, and Cornerstone trainings are required.
•Ability to gather information, format reports, and present outcome of work assigned.
•Interpersonal skills are integral to the position and the ability to coordinate activities with many disciplines toward one goal is essential.

Responsibilities:
•Provides direction to families on the early intervention system in the state and local area, including their rights and availability of services.

Responsibilities:

Summary:
Under the general supervision of a Security Supervisor, the unarmed Security Officer will provide physical protection for persons and safeguarding of property on the Rush University Medical Center (RUMC) Campus. The security officer will report and document infractions of rules, regulations and policies of RUMC; and violations of federal, state and local laws and/or ordinances. The security officer will exemplify the RUMC missions, visions and values and act in accordance with RUMC policies and procedures.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
•High School graduate or GED. Previous hospital security experience preferred but not required.
•Valid driver’s (Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin) license required.
•Must have a prior driving record deemed acceptable to RUMC based upon the results of a Motor Vehicle Report check conducted by Human Resources.
•Must possess and be responsible for maintaining current Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC). International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (“IAHSS”) certification required within six months of employment and maintained thereafter.
•Ability to handle confidential matters. Ability to exercise independent judgment, excellent customer service skills.
•Must be able to stand or walk during the majority, if not entire tour of duty and be able to withstand weather extremes for external assignments.
•Physically able to perform required responsibilities. Must be able to qualify for and successfully demonstrate the use and maintenance of departmental equipment. Must be able to wear body armor.

Responsibilities:
•Provide fixed, walking and vehicular patrols of all RUMC buildings and grounds.
•Perform Security Services Dispatch functions.
•Conduct basic interviews and investigations.
•Observe and document security and safety hazards.
•Prepare incident reports, memorandums and other written documentation.
•Assists local police agencies during investigations or emergencies.
•Monitor and assist with access control and visitor management.
•Controls and enforces vehicular and pedestrian traffic patterns in the Medical Center as assigned.
•Provides security escort services as assigned.
•Participates in property control procedures (accepts, records, stores, returns, or releases to authorized persons).
•Responds to emergency situations (i.e. Code Red, Blue, Code Triage, Code Orange, etc.).
•Performs other duties as assigned
