The Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, is seeking a part-time BC/BE Pediatric Infectious Diseases Physician to join their faculty at Rush's downtown campus in Chicago, IL.
The Division of Pediatric Infectious Diseases at Rush provides comprehensive consultative and continuity care for infants, children and adolescents with routine and complex infections at Rush University Medical Center. The Division supports a robust antimicrobial stewardship program and works closely with the hospital Infection Control team.
This dynamic role offers the opportunity to join a small but impactful team in expanding patient access to expert infectious diseases care throughout the Chicagoland region, offering advanced care for all types of infections including congenital infections, opportunistic infections, and immunocompromised patients including those with HIV and malignancies.
Position Details
● Provide direct patient care for routine and complex infectious diseases conditions in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric settings at 0.5 FTE (part-time)
● Support the pediatric Infection Control team and serve as a liaison to local public health entities
● Teach and mentor medical students and residents in pediatric infectious diseases medicine via the patient care experience
● Participate in departmental academic inquiry/didactic sessions including lectures and case conferences

Qualifications
● Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) required
● Eligible to be licensed to practice Medicine in the state of Illinois required
● Completion of an accredited Pediatric Infectious Diseases fellowship program
● Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pediatric Infectious Diseases
● Willing and able to travel between clinical locations to serve our growing patient population

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, knowledge and skills; relevant experience and training; education, certifications, and licensure; primary work location; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances. Pay Range
Assistant Professor – Associate Professor: $192,000 - $260,000
Assistant Professor – Professor: $192,000 - $300,000
