The Emergency Department at the Rush Urgent Care Clinic – North & Harlem, associated with Rush University Medical Center of Chicago and Rush Oak Park Hospital, invites applications for the position of Urgent Care Advanced Practice Provider.

 •Exciting opportunity to join a growing team in our newly constructed three-story facility, ~60,000 sq ft building with ~90 exam, consult, and procedure rooms, plus imaging, specialty services, and outpatient care.

 •Conveniently located at 1625 N. Harlem Avenue, Chicago, IL, we are situated just north of the intersection of Harlem Avenue & North Avenue, on a border region where Chicago meets the suburbs of Oak Park, Elmwood Park, and River Forest.

 •Affiliation with Rush University Medical Center and Rush Oak Park Hospital allows for smooth transfers of patients requiring advanced care 

•Collaborative team of 4 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) at the North & Harlem site working together in a supportive, patient-focused environment. Additionally, there are another 4 APPs at the River North site with opportunities to collaborate and work moonlighting shifts between sites 

•Hours of operation: Monday–Sunday, 7:00 a.m. – 7:30 p.m. with last registration of patients at 6:30pm if queue of patients is long

Preferred Qualifications:   3+ years of APP experience in Urgent Care/Primary Care/Emergency Department settings. 

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the Rush University Medical Center medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

Position Requirements: 

Nurse Practitioner: 

•Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse 

•Masters of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position. 

•Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP). 

•Maintains State of Illinois and Federal DEA license. 

•Must maintain Rush University Medical Center (RUMC) clinical privileges.

•CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications. 

•Excellent communicator 

•Experience treating patients of all ages 

•Procedural experience (simple laceration repair, I&D) 

Physician Assistant: 

•Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Physician Assistant/Associate. 

•Successful completion of an accredited Physician Assistant/Associate Program. 

•Current certification from National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants

Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

Summary:
The Manager, Revenue Cycle Payer Relations is responsible for oversight of payer performance. The Manager facilitates a unified and accurate presentation of data and project related work as it pertains to payer performance, payer claim resolution projects, Joint Executive Committee meetings, and the overall payer performance strategy. The Manager is also responsible for facilitating weekly Revenue and Receivable meetings between Revenue Cycle Leadership and Managed Care Contract Managers. Directs the creation and implementation of dashboards, scorecards, reports, and event specific reporting.

•Develop, design, and implement a process to produce monthly payer scorecards for all major managed care payers. Provides feedback and statistical analysis to Rush Health regarding contracting methodology, accounts receivable issues and trends; coordinates efforts to develop processes for resolution.
