      Rush University System for Health (RUSH) invites applications for the position of an outpatient Preoperative Clinic Advanced Practice Provider (APP). This provider will practice at Rush’s main downtown Chicago location on a five-day, eight-hour schedule. This role will evaluate patients planned for elective surgeries who may have a range of medical issues. The aim of the clinic is to identify and mitigate preoperative risk and medically optimize the patients prior to surgery, in order to reduce same day cancellations and postoperative complications. You will work closely with the referring surgical departments and anesthesia to achieve these goals. The clinic has a collegial atmosphere and uses evidence-based protocols. Core staff includes one physician, four medical assistants, a RN office manager and front office staff with medical residents rotating through the clinic. The clinic is expanding, and the addition of an Advance Practice Provider will be a valued addition to the clinic.

      *Applicants with previous preoperative Advanced Practice Provider experience preferred.

      Position Summary:

      Nurse Practitioner:

      Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

      Pay Range: $118,670 - $167,000

      • Ensure accuracy of received supplies by counting and comparing packing lists/restock lists with delivered goods and inspect for damage, defects or breakage, reporting any of these issues to the supervisor.
      • Must meet established Supply Chain Policy #1 job performance standards and all scheduled timelines.
      • Loads and off loads AGV system supply carts and appropriately parks/stages carts for next utilization. Must also be able to use AGV system touch screen correctly to send cart types to scheduled location.
      • Clean and maintain shelves within stocking areas and in workstation areas to ensure compliance with safety and infection control regulations.
      • Answer all telephone calls in accordance to the department's telephone script ensuring calls are properly answered, appropriate actions are followed and in a timely manner. Apply ICARE and IConnect in all interactions between inter/intra departments.

      Bone Marrow Transplant Advanced Practice Provider

      Rush University System for Health (RUSH) and the Rush MD Anderson Cancer Center invites applications for the position of Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Advanced Practice Provider (APP). This provider will practice at Rush’s main downtown Chicago location on a three-day, 12-hour schedule (weekends and holidays included, days only) alongside three BMT physicians and eight fellow APPs. The BMT physicians and APPs work in a team-based model to manage all patients in their program including but not limited to: coverage of the inpatient and Fast Track services as well as coverage of outpatient clinic and bone marrow biopsies.

    Rush University System for Health (RUSH) invites applications for the position of an outpatient Preoperative Clinic Advanced Practice Provider (APP). This provider will practice at Rush’s main downtown Chicago location on a five-day, eight-hour schedule. This role will evaluate patients planned for elective surgeries who may have a range of medical issues. The aim of the clinic is to identify and mitigate preoperative risk and medically optimize the patients prior to surgery, in order to reduce same day cancellations and postoperative complications. You will work closely with the referring surgical departments and anesthesia to achieve these goals. The clinic has a collegial atmosphere and uses evidence-based protocols. Core staff includes one physician, four medical assistants, a RN office manager and front office staff with medical residents rotating through the clinic. The clinic is expanding, and the addition of an Advance Practice Provider will be a valued addition to the clinic.
