The partnership represents advanced clinical and operational integration in the delivery of cancer care, providing Rush patients greater access to cancer treatments and research considered among the best in the world.

      Department/division specs

      • Four fellow inpatient Hematology Advanced Practice Providers.
      • One Hematologist and one Hematology Hospitalist on the inpatient service

      Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Rotating two-day, 10-hour shifts/week
      • APPs cover the unit seven days per week (days only)
      • Reports to the Lead Inpatient Hematology APP
      • 100% Inpatient

      Preferred Qualifications:

      · Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Cancer related specialty is preferred. Relevant RN experience may be considered.

      · APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification.

      Position Requirements:

      Nurse Practitioner:

      • Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
      • Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
      • Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)

      The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care.       Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees.         Job Summary:
        The Operations Specialist, Financial Aid is a senior-level operational professional responsible for executing and supporting complex financial aid processing, systems functionality, and compliance activities.         Position Specifics: 

        •This role will be joining the general neurology division managing complex patients in an outpatient setting. The position will work alongside physicians and APPs partnering as a team.

         •The Rush Department of Neurological Sciences is a large academic department with more than 100 faculty, spanning neurologic specialties, providing the opportunity to collaborate with other neurology specialists. 

        •Typical schedule will be Monday – Friday, 8am – 5pm. 

        Key Responsibilities 

        •Clinical Excellence: Perform detailed neurological histories and physical examinations to formulate differential diagnoses and treatment plans.

         •Chronic Disease Management: Manage long-term care for patients with chronic conditions across the spectrum of general neurology including patients with autonomic disorders, chronic pain and migraines. 

        •Diagnostic Coordination: Order and interpret specialized diagnostic tests, including Brain/Spine MRI, EEG, EMG/NCS, and laboratory studies. 

        •Interdisciplinary Collaboration: Act as a liaison between the patient and the multidisciplinary team, including neurosurgery, physical therapy, social work, and pharmacy.

         Preferred Qualifications:

        The Assistant Principal (AP) expertly provides and coordinates the educational program for children in the Rush Day School (RDS), a therapeutic day school for children in grades K through 8.           Summary:
          The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting. The Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing. In addition, the Certified Medical Assistant will administer intramuscular injections, immunizations, small volume nebulizer treatment, over-the-counter medications under the direction of a Physician.           Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of Pulmonary Critical Care/Adult ICU Per diem Advanced Practice Provider.

          This provider will join a team of both physicians and APPs that provides 24/7 care to critically ill medical patients at the Rush main campus. APPs will work autonomously and in collaboration with Rush pulmonary/critical care attending physicians and fellows and will be required to perform a number of procedures including central line placements, paracentesis and temporary hemodialysis catheter placements, among other duties.

           

          Department/division specs

          • There are more than 400 APPs employed across the Rush system. The AICU team is fully staffed with 9 APPs.
          • We work closely with many departments (palliative care, hepatology, gastroenterology, infectious disease, etc.) as part of a multidisciplinary approach in the ICU.

          Duties & Responsibilities:

          ·The AICU is a 28-bed unit that is staffed by both medical and surgical ICU teams.

          ·This position is 100% inpatient.

          Preferred Qualifications:

          ·Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in the ICU is required.

          ·APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification.

          Position Requirements:

          Nurse Practitioner:

          • Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
          • Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
          • Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
          • CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications

          Physician Assistant:
