Summary:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting. General Summary:
The Supportive Oncology Social Worker – Level 2 is a key member of the Rush University Medical Center community. This Illinois-licensed social worker provides outpatient care for patients engaged with RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Cellular Therapy Service. The social worker will work closely with the BMT psychologist and collaborate with BMT medical providers to support this patient population throughout the transplant process. The social worker provides on-site patient care through a diverse role as a clinician, care manager, and advocate.
Primary responsibilities include managing a caseload of patients and performing biopsychosocial assessments, providing care management services, addressing resource needs, providing patient/caregiver & staff education, and providing crisis interventions when needed. Summary:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or certified advanced practice nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush University Medical Center patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the RUMC medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush University Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
Clinical
• Completes and documents an accurate history and physical examination of patients.
• Conducts comprehensive or episodic health assessments and develops patient care plans
• Orders and interprets tests, treatments, and therapies within the scope of practice
• Prescribes medications, including controlled substances to the extent delegated including non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
• Orders, interprets, and performs laboratory and other diagnostic tests and procedures.

Join a collegial group of 36 sub-specialized radiologists serving Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Rush Oak Park Hospital in Oak Park, and numerous outpatient facilities in the Chicagoland area.
Clinical duties include interpretation of adult chest radiographs, lung cancer screening CTs, and cardiothoracic CT and MRI examinations. The selected candidate will work closely with radiology residents, body imaging fellows, and medical students from Rush Medical College. In addition, the candidate will collaborate professionally and academically with professionals from thoracic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, oncology, pulmonology and critical care, cardiology and radiation oncology. Summary:
The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting. The Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing. Summary:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or certified advanced practice nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush University Medical Center patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the RUMC medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush University Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.
Responsibilities:
Clinical
• Completes and documents an accurate history and physical examination of patients.
• Conducts comprehensive or episodic health assessments and develops patient care plans
• Orders and interprets tests, treatments, and therapies within the scope of practice
• Prescribes medications, including controlled substances to the extent delegated including non-pharmacologic treatment modalities
• Orders, interprets, and performs laboratory and other diagnostic tests and procedures.
• Provides clear, concise, and accurate information in the electronic medical record.
• Initiate and perform consultations in accordance with Rush rules and regulations
• Make appropriate referrals to other health care professionals and/or agencies
• Provides direct patient care in assigned areas, which may be in a hospital or ambulatory setting.

• Works collaboratively with his/her collaborating/supervising physician, department, and other members of the healthcare team in an effective and comprehensive manner.

Required Job Qualifications:
• Current State of Illinois Physician Assistant Licensure.

The Department of Diagnostic Radiology & Nuclear Medicine at Rush University Medical Center is seeking to hire a fellowship trained Cardiothoracic Radiologist at the level of Assistant, Associate, or Full Professor to join our well-established department in Chicago, IL. Join a collegial group of 36 sub-specialized radiologists serving Rush University Medical Center in Chicago, Rush Oak Park Hospital in Oak Park, and numerous outpatient facilities in the Chicagoland area.
Clinical duties include interpretation of adult chest radiographs, lung cancer screening CTs, and cardiothoracic CT and MRI examinations. The selected candidate will work closely with radiology residents, body imaging fellows, and medical students from Rush Medical College. In addition, the candidate will collaborate professionally and academically with professionals from thoracic surgery, cardiovascular surgery, oncology, pulmonology and critical care, cardiology and radiation oncology. There are also opportunities to participate in administration, research, hospital committees, and quality initiatives. Equipment includes 10 clinical MRI magnets, 3T research magnet, 12 CT scanners (including dual-energy CT systems), and a state-of-art photon-counting CT.
