General Summary:
The Supportive Oncology Social Worker – Level 2 is a key member of the Rush University Medical Center community. This Illinois-licensed social worker provides outpatient care for patients engaged with RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Cellular Therapy Service. The social worker will work closely with the BMT psychologist and collaborate with BMT medical providers to support this patient population throughout the transplant process. The social worker provides on-site patient care through a diverse role as a clinician, care manager, and advocate.
Primary responsibilities include managing a caseload of patients and performing biopsychosocial assessments, providing care management services, addressing resource needs, providing patient/caregiver & staff education, and providing crisis interventions when needed. This position is part of the Supportive Oncology team, a multidisciplinary team supporting the Rush Cancer Center, and the social worker works in collaboration with other healthcare team members to meet patients’ psychosocial needs. We are seeking individuals who will conduct innovative, rigorous, grant-funded research, engage in scholarly activities (peer-reviewed publications, presentations, etc. ), and can mentor other faculty members. Specifically, this individual should plan and direct qualitative analysis, quantitative analysis, and other research relevant to Obstetrics and Gynecology and related subspecialties, including Complex Family Planning, Maternal-Fetal Medicine, Gynecologic Oncology, and Urogynecology. Research should promote collaborations that bring together stakeholders from inside and outside the healthcare system to address disparities in health outcomes. The Advanced Practice Provider (licensed physician assistant or advanced practice registered nurse) who assumes this position will see new primary care patients in collaboration with primary care physicians at the site, and will play an integral role in establishing Rush's Primary Care presence in the area. General Summary:
The Supportive Oncology Social Worker – Level 2 is a key member of the Rush University Medical Center community. This Illinois-licensed social worker provides outpatient care for patients engaged with RUSH MD Anderson Cancer Center’s Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) and Cellular Therapy Service. The social worker will work closely with the BMT psychologist and collaborate with BMT medical providers to support this patient population throughout the transplant process. The social worker provides on-site patient care through a diverse role as a clinician, care manager, and advocate.
Primary responsibilities include managing a caseload of patients and performing biopsychosocial assessments, providing care management services, addressing resource needs, providing patient/caregiver & staff education, and providing crisis interventions when needed. This position is part of the Supportive Oncology team, a multidisciplinary team supporting the Rush Cancer Center, and the social worker works in collaboration with other healthcare team members to meet patients’ psychosocial needs. Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. S.T faculty position in Clinical Trials for Innovative Therapeutics in Angelman syndrome and other Neurogenetic Disorders to join the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Neurology as an Assistant Professor with two-years of 80% protected time to learn translational neuroscience. We welcome both domestic and international candidates to apply if licensed in the USA. This is a unique opportunity for qualified individuals to further develop their translational and clinical research training at a leading academic medical center, conducting this work with mentorship in cutting-edge research using mechanism-targeted treatment for Angelman syndrome and other rare monogenic NDDs.
This two-year opportunity is for physicians to be mentored in the translational neuroscience program headed by Elizabeth Berry-Kravis, MD, PhD. As the leading investigator in multiple NIH-funded research programs and industry-and foundation-sponsored clinical trials, Dr. Berry-Kravis has established Rush University Medical Center as an international destination for rare disease treatment and research in the area of pediatric neurodevelopmental and neurogenetic conditions. During the two-years of protected time, the faculty member will learn about clinical trial design, including novel clinical trials for rare genetic pediatric NDDs including N-of-1 trials, development of specialized programs for clinical management of these conditions with accommodation of experimental treatments, and new outcome measure and biomarker development for these populations. The professorship will include time in clinics for neurogenetic diseases; however the majority of time will be spent working and training on translational and clinical research. After the two year position is complete there will be an option to stay on the faculty at Rush as a part of the Pediatric Neurology team doing clinical work and clinical research.
The successful candidate will have recently completed fellowship in Child Neurology (preferred), Child Psychiatry or Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics, and will have an interest in starting a career in translational neuroscience for neurodevelopmental and neurogenetic disorders.

Summary:
The Respiratory Therapist Assistant (RTA I) performs a variety of clinical and environmental tasks under the direction of the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT). The RTA I duties are of a technical nature requiring specialized training and skill. The training and skill level of the RTA I is commensurate with their advancement through an accredited school of respiratory care. The RTA I is registered in an accredited school of respiratory care and has completed at least two semesters of training. The RTA I demonstrates the ability to care for adults in the clinical setting following appropriate competency training. 1. Current enrollment in an accredited school of respiratory care and completed at least 2 semesters with passing grades in all courses upon hire and on an annual basis.

Physical Demands:
• Work requires the ability to walk throughout the Medical Center and to be standing or walking most of the designated shift.
