TREATMENT PLANNING
•Assists with simulations and tumor localization using specified imaging devices including, but not limited to CT, MRI, and PET.
•Checks patient data for accuracy and completeness.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
The Lead APP is a clinical level APP Leader, whose responsibilities include both clinical and administrative duties:
Clinical:
•Assists physicians in performing procedures consistent with the standards of care and practice guidelines, within the Orthopedic Department.
•Provides patient care management for the clinical departments ambulatory and inpatient care units. Reviews history, performs physical assessment, formulates care plans, and follow-up. Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests/imaging, and reviews charts for upcoming appointments and needs.
•Completion of minor procedures including: dressing changes, wound care, wound vac change, suture/staple removal, incision and drainage of surgical site, debridement, splinting, IV insertion, collect/analyze specimens, needle aspiration.
•Provides patient and family with appropriate protocols to follow including as needed, pre-operative and post-operative care and other pertinent education.
•Oversees the entire clinical experience to assure that there is coordination and continuum of patient care plans and execution of those plans to tie the service together. Consults with physicians and/or surgeons regarding the care of patients for more complex diagnosis. Dictates discharge and transfer summaries in a timely manner. Ensures patient discharge is coordinated with social worker, pharmacist, physical therapist, and/or other services as needed.
•Serves as a liaison between clinical and administrative staff, clinical and nursing staff in other departments, and consult services. Responsible for orientation and training of new APPs.
•Collaborates for program development. Maintains, follows, and participates in developing standards of care, clinical pathways, and patient care protocols.

ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
The Lead APP is a clinical level APP Leader, whose responsibilities include both clinical and administrative duties:
Clinical:
•Assists physicians in performing procedures consistent with the standards of care and practice guidelines, within the Orthopedic Department.
•Provides patient care management for the clinical departments ambulatory and inpatient care units. Reviews history, performs physical assessment, formulates care plans, and follow-up. Orders and interprets laboratory and diagnostic tests/imaging, and reviews charts for upcoming appointments and needs.
•Completion of minor procedures including: dressing changes, wound care, wound vac change, suture/staple removal, incision and drainage of surgical site, debridement, splinting, IV insertion, collect/analyze specimens, needle aspiration.
•Provides patient and family with appropriate protocols to follow including as needed, pre-operative and post-operative care and other pertinent education.
•Oversees the entire clinical experience to assure that there is coordination and continuum of patient care plans and execution of those plans to tie the service together. Consults with physicians and/or surgeons regarding the care of patients for more complex diagnosis. Dictates discharge and transfer summaries in a timely manner. Ensures patient discharge is coordinated with social worker, pharmacist, physical therapist, and/or other services as needed.
•Serves as a liaison between clinical and administrative staff, clinical and nursing staff in other departments, and consult services. Responsible for orientation and training of new APPs.
•Collaborates for program development. Maintains, follows, and participates in developing standards of care, clinical pathways, and patient care protocols.
•Order and prescribe medications in accordance with statutes, rules and regulations of the State of Illinois.
•Participate in the educational conferences with Orthopedic services
ADMINITRATIVE DUTIES:
•Coordinates the APP schedule/call schedule and reviews the protocols and coverage with staff.
•Facilitates with recruitment and interviewing process, as well as hosting prospective candidates for shadowing.
•Responsible for onboarding of APPs including but not limited to complete orientation of duties, inpatient management, all necessary trainings, and skills assessment.
•Serves as clinical resource for staff through consultation, formal and informal education, review of literature, and participation in seminars and conferences. Ensures that staff meets mandatory training and licensing requirements.
•Addresses behavioral issues and adverse interpersonal interactions involving the APP staff.
•Supervises the assigned staff, including interviewing, conducting orientation, training and assisting in performance evaluations; responsible for recruiting, hiring, training, and evaluating new staff.
•Supports ongoing professional development for the APP staff.
•Supports the process for tracking absenteeism, hours worked, leaves and vacation/sick time for the department.
•Assists with performance evaluation preparation in conjunction with supervising physicians.
•Performs other related duties as required.
•Collaborates with Bone and Joint Service Line Leader, Medical Director, and Practice Manager to implement processes to support growth and sustainability of the program
EXPERIENCE:
3 years of experience as a PA or NP with 3 years of experience in Orthopedics/Surgery preferred. Relevant clinical experience will be considered in lieu of the required years of APP experience.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the Rush University Medical Center medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery at Rush is seeking a general otolaryngologist to join our expanding clinical team. This position offers the unique opportunity to build a broad, community-based practice encompassing the full spectrum of otolaryngologic care, including but not limited to sinonasal disorders, allergy, pediatric ENT, head and neck, and sleep surgery.

Summary:
General purpose of the position is to manage the open receivable including, securing reimbursement, guarding the Medical Centers assets, minimizing financial risk, working on behalf of our patient's financial liability. The Financial Services Representative 2 is also responsible for responding to internal audits. The ultimate goal of this position is to decrease receivables and increase quality and productivity. This role includes performing re-bills, Debit & Credits, adjustments, refunds, and claim corrections resulting from the multitude of claims and payer edits as well as notifying denial management of audits. • High School Diploma or GED.
• Two years of experience in health care or hospital billing with an understanding of coverage eligibility requirements for governmental payers.

• Familiar with Nebo's eCare billing editors such as Classic and CMS. Strong familiarity with medical terminology and patient financial matters.

Responsibilities:
1. Actively manage account balances to ensure that we are compliant with Federal and State regulatory requirements and evaluate each account to ensure that each account balance is collected in accordance to contract allowable payment schedule.
2. Follow up on claims with the appropriate payer for reimbursement.
3. Work directly with various departments to insure the charges are properly credited and / or debited.
4. Develop, manage, and maintain various electronic documents used to manage these projects.
5. Develop and report status of the trend issues weekly.
