      · The fellow will join two of ReDiMOM’s follow-up studies focused on assessing neurodevelopmental outcomes of former preterm infants at later ages (20 months’ corrected age through six years old).

      · Because home visits are offered to families in these studies, the fellow will be expected to be available on some evenings and weekends as needed.

      · In addition to administering developmental assessments, the fellow will be an active member of the research team engaged in a variety of other roles such as study enrollment, data collection and analysis, and manuscript development.

      · Ample opportunities for presentations and publication are expected.

      The Division of Pediatric Psychology provides a wide range of intervention, assessment, and consultation services across settings. Our division also supports an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship program. Primary clinical responsibilities for this portion of the position include conducting developmental and psychological evaluations with children ages 8 months to 10 years old who present with a wide range of developmental and medical conditions, as well as providing consultation services to families of infants hospitalized in the NICU. Opportunities to supervise predoctoral psychology residents and to engage in program development or quality improvement initiatives may also be available.

      Qualifications

      Qualified candidates must have:

      · A doctoral degree (PhD; PsyD) in clinical psychology and have completed an APA-approved internship.

      •Ensures executive integration meetings with key stakeholders including board members, medical staff leadership, administrative leaders, and community partners, as appropriate.

      Relationship Management & Stakeholder Engagement
      •Builds and maintains trusted advisor relationships with executives, hospital presidents, senior vice presidents, and department chairs across the health system
      •Serves as a strategic partner to the AVP Talent Strategy on executive talent acquisition strategy, diversity initiatives, and recruitment operations.
      •Collaborates with external executive search firms when engaged for specialized searches, managing vendor relationships and ensuring alignment with Rush standards.
      •Represents Rush at healthcare leadership conferences, diversity recruitment events, and professional associations to build the organization's talent brand.
      •Partners with Marketing and Communications on employer branding initiatives targeting executive audiences.

      Pediatric Psychology - Postdoctoral Fellowship

      Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications to the Postdoctoral Fellowship in Pediatric Psychology.

      Position Overview

      The Division of Pediatric Psychology, in collaboration with the Division of Neonatology and Department of Health Systems Management, at Rush University Medical Center (RUMC) is currently accepting applications for a full-time, one- or two-year post-doctoral fellowship for the 2026-2028 academic years.

      · The fellowship is a combined clinical and research position, with approximately 3 ½ days per week dedicated to clinical research as a member of the Division of Neonatology’s Reducing Disparity in Receipt of Mother’s Own Milk (ReDiMOM) team, and 1 ½ days dedicated to clinical work within the Division of Pediatric Psychology.

      · The ReDiMOM project is a series of R01 studies aimed at determining the effectiveness of an economic intervention to reduce the disparity in mother’s own milk feedings at time of discharge from the NICU for very preterm infants.

      · The fellow will join two of ReDiMOM’s follow-up studies focused on assessing neurodevelopmental outcomes of former preterm infants at later ages (20 months’ corrected age through six years old).

      · Because home visits are offered to families in these studies, the fellow will be expected to be available on some evenings and weekends as needed.

      · In addition to administering developmental assessments, the fellow will be an active member of the research team engaged in a variety of other roles such as study enrollment, data collection and analysis, and manuscript development.

      · Ample opportunities for presentations and publication are expected.

      · Start date is July 2026 with some flexibility. Applications will be evaluated as they are received.

      The Division of Pediatric Psychology provides a wide range of intervention, assessment, and consultation services across settings. Our division also supports an APA-accredited pre-doctoral internship program. Primary clinical responsibilities for this portion of the position include conducting developmental and psychological evaluations with children ages 8 months to 10 years old who present with a wide range of developmental and medical conditions, as well as providing consultation services to families of infants hospitalized in the NICU. Opportunities to supervise predoctoral psychology residents and to engage in program development or quality improvement initiatives may also be available.

      Qualifications

      Qualified candidates must have:

      · A doctoral degree (PhD; PsyD) in clinical psychology and have completed an APA-approved internship.

      · Significant experience with developmental and psychological testing with young (8 months – 6 years) children and must be proficient in use of the Bayley Scales of Infant and Toddler Development.

      · Experience with other measures, such as the Wechsler Scales and Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, is also strongly preferred.

This total pay range is for a full-time, 1. 0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances.
