      Required Job Qualifications:
      • Current license and credentials by the state they are assigned.
      • At least one year of nursing experience required.
      • Earned Nursing Degree at the Baccalaureate level or higher for those hired after January 1, 2014.
      • All transfers to Rush University Medical Center or Rush University Medical Group from other Rush entities must have an earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher prior to the transfer.
      • Chief Nursing Officer must provide approval for any RNs with ADN degree hired after 10/22/2020, based upon unit need. ADN RNs hired after 10/22/2020 must show continued enrolment towards a BSN degree with a signature of contract stipulating a BSN degree must be completed within 3 years of hire, Failure to do so will result in termination.       Summary:

      Under the direction of the Manger of O/R Distribution the OR Materials Technician Lead will play a critical role in ensuring surgical teams have the supplies and equipment they need to deliver safe, high-quality patient care. In this fast-paced environment, you will oversee the day-to-day availability and distribution of surgical materials across the Operating Room and procedural areas, serving as a key partner to clinicians, physicians, and support staff.

      This role combines hands-on supply chain coordination with problem-solving and collaboration. You will manage inventory levels, restock essential supplies, track and resolve backorders, and ensure timely delivery of materials to support complex surgical and procedural workflows. As a lead, you will also provide guidance and support to team members, contribute to process improvements, and help maintain an organized, efficient, and compliant environment.

      Responsibilities:

Operations role: The scope shall include operational responsibility for order verification, IV therapy, total parenteral nutrition, automated dispensing cabinets (ADC), oral drug compounding/repackaging, dispensing and delivery of medications. Assessment of current IV clean rooms with USP 797 regulations including necessary staff education will also be a focus. Central Pharmacy/Satellite role: Reviewing and verifying medication orders in Epic for accuracy and safety.       The Enterprise AI Architect is responsible for designing, governing, and enabling scalable, secure, and compliant artificial intelligence (AI), machine learning (ML), and analytics architectures across the healthcare enterprise. This role defines technical standards, integration patterns, and architectural guardrails for AI solutions, ensuring alignment with clinical workflows, enterprise platforms, data strategy, cybersecurity, and regulatory requirements.
      The Enterprise AI Architect serves as a senior technical authority bridging data engineering, AI/ML, infrastructure, applications, and cybersecurity, and supports teams from initial design through production operations.

    • Works with external vendors to review charge capture opportunities and documentation to identify missed charges and correct accounts

    Required Job Qualifications:

    • AAPC or AHIMA certification
    • Epic HB Certification within 6 months
    • Proficient and functional knowledge of reviewing charges in the Epic EHR.
    • Advanced knowledge of medical terminology as well as medical billing language. Must demonstrate a thorough knowledge of UB-04 Revenue Codes, Current Procedural Terminology (CPT), and Healthcare Common Procedure Coding System (HCPCS) Level II along with modifiers

    • Must meet established Supply Chain Policy #1 job performance standards and all scheduled timelines.
    • Loads and off loads AGV system supply carts and appropriately parks/stages carts for next utilization. Must also be able to use AGV system touch screen correctly to send cart types to scheduled location.
    • Clean and maintain shelves within stocking areas and in workstation areas to ensure compliance with safety and infection control regulations.
    • Answer all telephone calls in accordance to the department's telephone script ensuring calls are properly answered, appropriate actions are followed and in a timely manner. Apply ICARE and IConnect in all interactions between inter/intra departments.
