      The Road Home Program provides free, specialized mental health care to veterans, service members, and their families. The program focuses on delivering evidence-based treatments for PTSD and related conditions though innovative, intensive treatments. In addition to clinical care, the program conducts research to improve outcomes and explore new approaches for the treatment of trauma-related disorders. 

      Job Summary:
      The Clinical Research Coordinator I (CRC I) supports the conduct of clinical research studies across a range of disciplines. Receives direction from principal investigator, supervisor, or other staff involved in research protocol(s). Responsibilities include participant recruitment and interaction, study data collection and entry, maintenance of study and regulatory documentation, sponsor communication, and adherence to study protocols and policies. The CRC I executes defined study tasks with guidance, ensuring operational compliance, accurate data entry, and participant safety.       Summary:
      The Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Oncology Nurse Navigator 2 is a registered nurse (RN) who works collaboratively with physician practices and multi-disciplinary teams as to promote the effective utilization of services and coordination of care for patients within the Section of Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy within the Cancer Center service line. The BMT Oncology Nurse Navigator 2 assesses patients' psychosocial, financial, and clinical needs throughout the continuum of care ensuring high quality care while supporting quality metrics of the BMT Program, Cancer Center, and Rush University Medical Center. The BMT Oncology Nurse Navigator 2 functions as a liaison between patients, physician practices, the hospital, and the community performing functions that meet the core competencies of oncology navigation; Care Coordination, Communication, Education, and Professional Role/Care as well as the domains of the Profession Practice Model; Relationships and Caring, Evidence Based Practice, Technical Expertise, Critical Thinking and Leadership. The focus of this position is coordination of patient care from the initial bone marrow transplant referral to the transplant. In this role, the RN interacts with patients, families, and a wide variety of personnel both within and outside the institution. The RN must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to take initiative, problem solve, and function collaboratively or autonomously when needed.     Summary:
    The Service Line Coordinator’s primary function is to serve as the clinical nursing expert and lead in a specific area of specialization. This role facilitates the direct clinical activities for nursing and support personnel necessary to ensure the highest level of professional and technical operating room care practices. The Service Line Coordinator serves as the primary resource or “go to” person for the service line addressing quality, safety, education, technology, and orientation/competency for the nurses and surgeons under their purview.     9.Works with the Education/Quality Coordinator to assure onboarding/orientation of new hires, s, training, annual competency validation, and learning opportunities are available in the area of specialty.
    10.Elevates surgeon and anesthesia concerns to the AUD/UD team. Also brings topics for potential investigation to the Nursing Quality/UAC group. Coordinates peer review of nursing quality and safety issues for the service line.
    11.Analyzes multi-system effects of disease processes on patients’ health status and communicates all relevant factors to medical/nursing staff.
    12.Partners with others to identify and remove barriers that affect patient outcomes and facilitate solutions at a patient, unit, or system level
    13.Assures judicious utilization of supplies and equipment during the peri-operative period. Monitors utilization statistics and adjust preference cards as needed.
    14.Assures accuracy and implementation of computerized OR record, physician preference and case cart forms.
    15.Implements surgical instrument/equipment preparation, processing and management protocols. In coordination with attending surgeons, provides area specific expertise regarding equipment, instrumentation, and specialty product needs.

    The RN 2 is a competent nurse who has mastered technical skills. The RN 2 identifies patterns of patient responses and can use past experiences to implement solutions for current situations.
