      Summary:
      Anesthesiology Technologists are responsible for processing of reusable equipment for the cleaning and disinfection to manufacturer specification. They serve as an aid to the anesthesia providers during emergencies and ensure that all inventory/airway emergency supplies are stocked to the quantity and as outlined by policy. Anesthesiology Technologists exemplify the Rush mission, vision and ICARE values and act in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

      Required Job Qualifications:
      •High school diploma or general education degree (GED), or an equivalent combination of relevant education and training.

      Responsibilities:
      1.Must be knowledgeable of the JACHO and IDPH regulations as it applies to Anesthesia.
      2.Immediately respond to emergency requests from anesthesia staff for additional supplies/equipment as required.
      3.Must be knowledgeable of terminology of anesthesia supplies and procedures.
      4.Assist in the preparation of the anesthesia site for all cases/procedures requiring anesthesia.
      5.Responsible for cleanliness and disinfecting the equipment in the anesthesia administration sites including but not limited to the Pxyis, and C-cart and all reusable equipment.
      6.Be familiar with the Medical Centers Safety Policies & Procedures.
      7.Assists in the training/orientation of new hire employees.
      8.Assist in recovering of equipment.
      9.Be certified in the use of the EVOTEK.
      10.Be responsible for the cleanliness of all airway equipment per hospital policy (i.e. Glidescopes, fiberoptic intubating scopes, etc).
      11.Maintain Anesthesia sites with the same specificity as the operating room suites which include the following areas but not limited to: PICU, Endoscopy, MRI, Interventional Radiology, IVF, OB and adjacent labor delivery rooms.
      12.Maintain inventory supplies in the prep recovery area in 5 atrium.
      13.Check all Anesthesia sites/inventory daily for outdated stock.
      14.Responsible for stocking OB, labor delivery rooms, Epidural bay room, and other supply sites.
      15.Responsible for assembling central line/ A-line kits in accordance with the agreed protocol.
      16.Set-up in preparation in the cardiac and neuro anesthesia sites.
      17.Check code bags for used/outdated equipment/ supplies and maintain inventory according to protocol.
      18.Remove and replace all used single patient care items immediately after each procedure/case.
      19.Assist in the turnover of cases, but not limited to: disposal of all single use items, replacement of the anesthesia circuit, suction canister and tubing, yankauer, ECG leads. Wiping down anesthesia machine and Pyxis cart.
      20.Monitor inventory supply/equipment levels throughout the day.

      Summary:

      Other information:

      This is a faculty-track research position for a specialized Analytical Chemist or Toxicologist who will lead the operational and scientific development of a comprehensive public health toxicology laboratory. Initially, the role will focus on establishing a forensic chemistry function to test illicit drugs and paraphernalia for contaminants in support of public health surveillance. As the laboratory matures, the Scientist will lead its expansion into clinical functionality, developing bioanalytical assays for human samples and streamlining operations with existing institutional toxicology services.

      The successful candidate will operate at the intersection of independent bench science and strategic program leadership. Responsibilities include designing complex experiments, managing high-resolution instrumentation, and translating data into impactful manuscripts and grant proposals. This role requires a high degree of transparency and collaboration, serving as a primary liaison between clinical staff in medical toxicology and addiction medicine, public health entities, and community partners to advance the institution’s research and public health missions.

      Job Summary: 

      The Scientist will lead and execute specialized research projects aligned with the department’s strategic goals. This role involves experimental design, data analysis, and the translation of findings into peer-reviewed publications or clinical applications. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to advance the institution's research mission. 

      Job Responsibilities:

           •Design and conduct complex experiments. Analyze results using advanced statistical tools and maintain rigorous                                     documentation of all methodologies and findings.

           •Relevant experience in lab setting across federal, industry, or academic centers. 

           •Proficiency with instrumentation, techniques, and analysis specific to the type of research being conducted.

    Summary:
    The RNIII is a proficient nurse possessing in-depth knowledge of patient management; can accommodate unplanned events and can respond with efficiency, flexibility and confidence. The RN 3 assumes a leadership role in the clinical practice area, using clinical experience to serve as a role model and coach.     Required Job Qualifications:
    1.1-3 years of experience
    2. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN)
    3. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required for RNs leveling to RN3 after 10/22/2020.
    4.Prior to leveling to RN3, RN must show consistent proficient performance at RN2 position or equivalent experience.
    5.To maintain RN3 level, all RN3 employees must submit an RN3 maintenance portfolio every 2 years showing continued performance of RN3 requirements.
    6.National certification examination within 1 year of leveling to RN3. Certification must remain active to maintain RN3 level.
    7.Current state of Illinois Registered Nursing License
    8.CPR
    9.ACLS for ICU, Telemetry, Med/Surg (6west), Endoscopy, PACU, IR, and ED required within 3 months of hire
    10.PALS for PACU and ED required within 3 months of hire
    11.Proficiency in charge and preceptor roles
