Nocturnist Hospitalist

RUSH University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for RUSH Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of nocturnist Hospitalist. This is a full-time position splitting effort between both Rush University Medical Center (RUMC) and Rush Oak Park Hospital (ROPH) for a total of 150 shifts.
The role at ROPH will function 7pm-7am cross covering floor patients, ICU patients and admissions. There is an open ICU with intensivist backup, procedures not required. Residents help with cross coverage and admissions. The role at RUMC involves admissions and cross-cover of Internal Medicine patients at night with the potential to work on some specialty services at night.

Inpatient Hematology Lead Advanced Practice Provider

The Rush University Cancer Center is currently recruiting a Lead Advanced Practice Provider to join their Inpatient Hematology team. This role will be located at Rush’s downtown Chicago campus functioning on a rotating four-day, 10-hour shift schedule. The Inpatient Hematology Lead Advanced Practice Provider will have four direct reports to staff the inpatient Hematology unit seven days per week (days only) alongside a Hematology Hospitalist and a Hematologist on the inpatient service.
*Minimum of three years of experience in hematology, or other cancer related specialty, required. APRN candidates must hold acute-care certification.
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP)is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the Rush University Medical Center medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and actin accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

Position Summary:
The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will provide all aspects of inpatient care on day shift alongside a Hematology Hospitalist and a Hematologist on the inpatient service.
Position Requirements:
Nurse Practitioner:
Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse
Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
Maintains State of Illinois and Federal DEA license
Must maintain Rush University Medical Center (RUMC), Rush Oak Park Hospital (ROPH), and Rush Copley Medical Center (RCMC)clinical privileges, as applicable.
CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.
Excellent communicator
Experience treating patients of all ages
Procedural experience (simple laceration repair, I&D)

This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that maybe applicable to this role.
