      Summary:

      1.Entry Level - no previous RN experience required
      2.Current state of Illinois Registered Nursing License
      3.Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) (with acceptance into an accredited school of nursing prior to hire).
      *Within 1 year from the date of hire, employee must be enrolled in a BSN program.
      4.RNs hired prior to 10/22/2020 are grandfathered in with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) in nursing, with no further need to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BAN or BSN).
      5.Chief Nursing Officer must provide approval for any RNs with ADN degree hired after 10/22/2020, based upon unit need. ADN RNs hired after 10/22/2020 must show continued enrolment towards a BSN degree with a signature of contract stipulating a BSN degree must be completed within 3 years of hire. ADN RNS are not eligible for leveling to RN3.

      Rush University Medical Center and the Division of Pulmonary, Critical Care, and Sleep Medicine is currently recruiting for per diem Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) to join the Adult ICU. This provider will join a team of both physicians and eight critical care APPs on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule that provides 24/7 care to critically ill medical patients at the Rush main campus. APPs will work autonomously and in collaboration with Rush pulmonary/critical care attending physicians and fellows and will be required to perform a number of procedures including central line placements, paracentesis and temporary hemodialysis catheter placements, among other duties.

      *APRN candidates must hold acute care certification.

      *Advanced Practice Provider experience in the ICU is strongly preferred.

      The Advanced Practice Provider (APP)is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush University Medical Center patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the RUMC medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush University Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

      The Department of Pediatrics at Rush University Medical Center is recruiting two candidates for a F. A. S.T faculty position in Clinical Trials for Innovative Therapeutics in Angelman syndrome and other Neurogenetic Disorders to join the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Pediatric Neurology as an Assistant Professor with two-years of 80% protected time to learn translational neuroscience. We welcome both domestic and international candidates to apply if licensed in the USA. This is a unique opportunity for qualified individuals to further develop their translational and clinical research training at a leading academic medical center, conducting this work with mentorship in cutting-edge research using mechanism-targeted treatment for Angelman syndrome and other rare monogenic NDDs.

      This two-year opportunity is for physicians to be mentored in the translational neuroscience program headed by Elizabeth Berry-Kravis, MD, PhD. As the leading investigator in multiple NIH-funded research programs and industry-and foundation-sponsored clinical trials, Dr. Berry-Kravis has established Rush University Medical Center as an international destination for rare disease treatment and research in the area of pediatric neurodevelopmental and neurogenetic conditions. During the two-years of protected time, the faculty member will learn about clinical trial design, including novel clinical trials for rare genetic pediatric NDDs including N-of-1 trials, development of specialized programs for clinical management of these conditions with accommodation of experimental treatments, and new outcome measure and biomarker development for these populations. The professorship will include time in clinics for neurogenetic diseases; however the majority of time will be spent working and training on translational and clinical research. After the two year position is complete there will be an option to stay on the faculty at Rush as a part of the Pediatric Neurology team doing clinical work and clinical research.

      The successful candidate will have recently completed fellowship in Child Neurology (preferred), Child Psychiatry or Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics, and will have an interest in starting a career in translational neuroscience for neurodevelopmental and neurogenetic disorders.

            Summary:

            The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or certified advanced practice nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush University Medical Center patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the RUMC medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care.             Clinical

            • Completes and documents an accurate history and physical examination of patients.

During the two-years of protected time, the faculty member will learn about clinical trial design, including novel clinical trials for rare genetic pediatric NDDs including N-of-1 trials, development of specialized programs for clinical management of these conditions with accommodation of experimental treatments, and new outcome measure and biomarker development for these populations. The professorship will include time in clinics for neurogenetic diseases; however the majority of time will be spent working and training on translational and clinical research. After the two year position is complete there will be an option to stay on the faculty at Rush as a part of the Pediatric Neurology team doing clinical work and clinical research.

          The successful candidate will have recently completed fellowship in Child Neurology (preferred), Child Psychiatry or Developmental Behavioral Pediatrics, and will have an interest in starting a career in translational neuroscience for neurodevelopmental and neurogenetic disorders.

                Summary:

                The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or certified advanced practice nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush University Medical Center patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the RUMC medical staff bylaws.                 Summary:

                The Section Chief will provide leadership and oversight of all operational and programmatic aspects of Electrophysiology at Rush’s downtown location and Rush Oak Park Hospital (ROPH), including expertise in complex ablations and device implantation, along with Skills in LAAO implantation and/or lead extraction. Candidates must have an outstanding record of commitment to clinical service, research, and substantial administrative experience. In addition, candidates must be board certified and formal fellowship trained in clinical cardiac electrophysiology, currently at the Associate Professor level or higher and possess a commitment to innovation in the field and the leadership skills necessary for faculty development and the advancement of clinical and academic missions.
