Summary:
The Senior Exercise Physiologist is responsible for performing and interpreting stress testing under physician supervision using predefined stress protocols. The Senior Exercise Physiologist will ensure the safety of each patient receiving stress testing by closely monitoring each test. Assists in monitoring and ensuring the effectiveness, efficiency and quality of the daily operations. Will demonstrate highly developed skills in the coordination and delivery of patient care, leadership initiatives and the ability to perform administrative duties throughout the labs. Responsibilities:
1.Monitors and supervises patient’s stress test. Interprets the stress test and completes the appropriate report.
2.Serves as the key focal point for patient testing, coordinating the process among nursing, EKG technicians and Nuclear Radiology Technicians. Functions as a patient advocate, responsible for the total care of the patient while in the lab.
3.Ensures that physician reports are disseminated to referring physicians in a timely manner.
4.Coordinates quality patient care for procedures and tests in accordance with the physicians in charge and established clinical standards of practice.
5.Reviews indications for each procedure and ensures an absence of an absolute contraindication and maintains pertinent records and progress of patients undergoing stress testing. Refers patients for urgent or immediate care as appropriate. Notifies medical director or attending physician when adverse events occur.
6.Serves as a resource for the Cardiac Stress Test team and is familiar with equipment in the Stress Test department.
7.Supervises and participates in patient education classes related to topics of risk factor modification, nutrition, medications, exercise guidelines, etc.
8.Provides and documents patient education (reading, hands – on, audio/visual, and written) according to JCAHO standards.
9.Maintains own professional growth and development through formal and informal educational activities.
10.Anticipates, implements, and evaluates the timely use of physician resources, staff, ancillary services and equipment in response to critical patient situations.
11.Assures that all emergency support systems are operational

General Summary:
The Director of Advanced Practice Providers (APP) Services supports the Office of Advanced Practice (OAP) operations in collaboration with the Senior Director of Advanced Practice Providers and is responsible for ensuring the provision of the highest quality patient care. This role provides strategic leadership, consultation, and support to APPs within respective areas of clinical focus and practice market. The Director of APP Services functions as the primary resource regarding APP optimal utilization, recruitment and retention, collaborative practice models, credentialing, orientation and onboarding, regulation and policy issues, competency, professional development, research, and educational activities.
This position requires collaboration with physician and nursing executives and demonstrates excellent communication, coordination, collaboration, and cross-functional partnership with RUSH leadership, service lines, and departments.
Three Directors of Advanced Practice Providers will work under the leadership of the Senior Director of APPs to optimize clinical, operational, and financial outcomes for patients across the care continuum.
Focus Areas: Three Director will each focus on one or more of the following areas in addition to serving as the primary escalation point for APP-related needs within a service market:
Principal Duties and Responsibilities:
Advanced Practice Systems Leadership:
1. Serves as the primary leadership point of escalation for all aspects of APP practice within assigned clinical area focus and practice market.
2. Acts as an organizational resource for APP clinical practice within assigned clinical focus and practice market.
3. Direct manager for APP Managers and Lead APPs within defined subset of APP workforce.

General Summary:

-Performs IV starts and/or phlebotomy as determined by MD protocol using the technique defined by RUMC policy and under the direction of the Radiologist/Cardiologist supervising the diagnostic exam.
-Performs Visual Field exams on inpatient population.
-Obtain baseline vitals, document them in EPIC and notify the appropriate (tech/nurse)
-Responsible for maintaining a safe and orderly environment and for the wellbeing and safety of the patients under their care as well as that of family members and/or visitors within the Diagnostic Services area.
-Report any incidents, accidents, or inconveniences involving patients to the Tech/Nurse on duty as well as the Department and be prepared to file a full and detailed incident report as needed.
-Monitor patients for contrast reaction, distress and hypoglycemia; notify Radiologist with any concerns.

Summary:
This role will provide patient greeting and/or reception functions for the various areas across the Diagnostic Services areas. This role will also manage the scheduling of inpatients in a manner that minimizes the time between order placement and exam completion, import and catalogue external images into the PACS system and provide daily reports relevant to operations. As a Patient Coordinator, understands and integrates into the delivery of patient care in regards to their growth and development process. The position actively supports the Hospital’s and Department’s Continuous Quality Improvement and customer service goals, individually and as an effective team member. Responsibilities:
•Communicates outpatient arrivals and waiting issues to technical sections.
•Documents the arrival time of the outpatients in the Radiology Information System.
•Performs check-in process for outpatients, including assistance with orders, wristbands and labels.
•Confirms demographic information for outpatients.
•Creates, edits and scans patient registration documents.
•Obtains e-signature for HIPAA and Financial Responsibility Agreement.
•Edits patient visit number for billing accuracy.
•Assumes ownership of patients and family members in the waiting areas, ensuring they are communicated to and are aware of status of procedures and delays.
•Assists with escorting patients to the technical areas for their appointments.
•Schedule inpatient Radiology procedures in a manner that minimizes turnaround time (order placement – exam complete) and maximizes resource utilization. Initiate consultation where necessary.
•Negotiate scheduling of STAT procedures.
•Acquire transport/dispatch information.
•Enter dispatch info into transport system for all inpatient studies.
•Coordinate the scheduling of multiple exams across sections within Radiology in a manner that minimizes the number of trips to the department for the patient.
•Participates in the training of new hires or the cross-training of staff to new and/or revised procedures.
•Applies departmental and Medical Center procedures and guidelines for scheduling and phone etiquette.
•Reviews radiology orders for completeness of information.
•Assists with appointment confirmation calls.
•Processes importing of external images into the institutions PACS archive as per workflow and policy,

Summary:
The Clinical resource coordinator (CRC) applies a collaborative approach in working with physicians, patients, case managers, community providers, payers and internal/external agencies to provide case management support services related to effective utilization of services and transition planning for adult, geriatric, neonate, pediatric and adolescent patients. CRC activities and processes include patient interviews, screenings, referrals, follow-up calls, discharge planning, payer certification, denial avoidance and customer satisfaction. CRC services may be coordinated centrally through department or assigned by unit, physician practice or service line. Responsibilities for specific liaison roles may vary depending upon assignment. • Valid State of Illinois Pharmacy Technician license required
• High School diploma and minimum 2 years’ experience required.
•Demonstrated knowledge and/or experience with hospital -related service functions such as: patient interviews, discharge planning/social service basic assessment and referral processes, community resources, finance and payer communication processes and information systems.
•Maintains CE hours required to retain CPhT certification. Obtain certification within 1 year of starting if not certified prior to starting.
