      Summary:
      The Surgical Technologist II assists in patient care and surgical services under the supervision of a registered nurse. The primary responsibility of this person is to carry out the function of the scrub role during surgical procedures.       Required Job Qualifications:
      • Graduate of accredited ORT Program.
      • One or more years of clinical experience OR current certification by the association of surgical technologist.
      • Analytic ability.
      • Effective written and oral communication skills utilizing repeat back strategies for patient safety and teaching.
      • Must be able to interact effectively with others in difficult situations.
      • Flexibility with schedule to accommodate staffing needs
      • Organizational skills for timely processes.
      • Ability to document using electronic medical record systems, to check documents for errors and use a keyboard to enter or retrieve data

      Responsibilities:
      • Applies the correct principles of aseptic technique.
      • Establishes and protects the integrity of the sterile field and back table at all times.
      • Recognizes breaks in technique by self and others. Takes corrective action and reports events to RN in room.
      • Handles/secures instruments, cords, and draping materials utilizing aseptic technique.
      • Applies the correct techniques of disinfection and antisepsis.
      • Prepares instrumentation and equipment for decontamination per established protocol.
      • Demonstrates advanced operating room technical skills.
      • Participates in routine cases with minimal direction using the guidelines of the preference cards. Demonstrates competency in scrubbing all assigned surgical procedures.
      • Prioritizes scrub activities based upon the type of surgical procedure and the needs of the surgical team members.
      • Active participation in time out process.
      • Correctly pulls and prepares sutures/other specified supplies per Operating Room Information System preference cards.
      • Updates cards as needed.
      • Obtains and safely assembles necessary equipment specific to the surgical procedure, surgeon preference and individual patient needs.
      • Assists in opening sterile supplies.
      • Applies knowledge of anatomy and physiology to individualize set up for surgical procedures.
      • Self-directed in coordinating scrub activities for complex surgical procedures.
      • Cares for and handles surgical instruments/equipment according to Operating Room protocols.
      • Demonstrates manual dexterity in handling instruments and equipment.
      • Assumes responsibility for proper functioning of equipment and maintenance of equipment in the room as delegated by the RN.
      • Identifies specialty Instruments by type, function, and name.
      • Accounts for sponges, needles, instruments, and other miscellaneous counted items according to Operating Room policies and procedures.
      • Notifies the surgical team of any sponge, needle, instrument or miscellaneous count that is incorrect.
      • Uses repeat back communications and key words for safety concerns.
      • Maintains an orderly sterile field, Mayo stand and back table throughout the surgical procedure.
      • Demonstrates knowledge of progressive steps in multiple surgical procedures
      • Anticipates the needs of the surgical team.
      • Communicates variation in surgical procedure to RN.
      • Anticipates emergent circumstances and communicates the information to the RN.
      • Dons personal protective equipment according to policy and procedure.
      • Disposes of biohazard waste appropriately.
      • Actively participates in maintaining each patient's dignity and safety at all times.
      • Works collaboratively with all members of the health care team to assure that (1) each patient's privacy is protected and (2) every patient record is considered strictly confidential.
      • Assists In transferring the patient to and from the OR table to the transport cart.
      • Functions In an efficient manner at all times.

        As a First Assist Surgical Advanced Practice Provider, you will play an integral role in both obstetric and gynecologic surgical care, supporting a full spectrum of procedures and clinical needs. This includes first‑assisting during cesarean deliveries, minimally invasive gynecologic surgeries, and routine gynecologic operative cases. You will work in close collaboration with obstetric and gynecologic surgeons to ensure seamless, high‑quality surgical support. 

         

        Department/division specs 

        • Partner with12 physicians and four fellow Advanced Practice Providers 

        • This role will support gynecologic and obstetric surgery working closely with OR and L&D teams, in addition to the practices

        Duties & Responsibilities: 

        • Monday-Friday, hours varied between7am and 5pm.

        Preferred Qualifications: 

        • Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in women’s health or related specialty is preferred, not required. Relevant RN experience may be considered. 

        • APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification and First Assistant Certification.

        Nurse Practitioner:

        Qualifications

        • Experience leading enterprise-wide projects; including project and resource planning, change management, risk and issue management.

        Summary:
        The Pharmacy Technician 2 Certified performs duties such as prescription data entry, labeling, preparing and filling of medication orders for patients of the retail pharmacy. Such medication orders are prepared up to the point of final checking and dispensing by registered pharmacists.         • Current State of Illinois Pharmacy Technician licensure required.

        Responsibilities:
        • Recognizes and identifies various classes of drugs and their generic and trade names.
        • Assists pharmacists in coordinating and scheduling preparation of sterile admixtures.
        • Performs pharmaceutical math with understanding and accuracy, including: fundamental math functions, common apothecary and metric conversions, pharmaceutical dose calculations, and parenteral dose calculations.
        • Familiar with abbreviation symbols and equivalents used in pharmacy communications.
        • Understands various drugs' storage requirements, dosage forms and compounding techniques. Demonstrates understanding and proficiency of extemporaneous compounding skills.
        • Possesses proficient data entry skills. Demonstrates essential computer skills such as order entry, label generation, drug pricing, and third party billing. Prioritizes workload to maintain an efficient workflow.
        • Recognizes various billing plan codes and which drugs are covered under these different plans.
        • Assists in looking up information to answer general information questions. Refers questions regarding drug information or patient specific questions to a pharmacist.
        • Ensures the I.V. preparation room and related equipment are cleaned, calibrated and maintained per organizational policy and procedure.
        • Updates/revises patient inventory usage numbers in the computer based on actual usage, change in orders, and communication with other team members.
        • Remains alert to customer needs and provides prompt, courteous customer service.
        • Responds to and resolves patient/customer problems in an appropriate and timely fashion using proper channels.
        • Maintains work area in an organized and orderly fashion, including facing of shelves and returning medications to shelves.
        • Checks and maintains adequate supply of stock necessary to fill prescriptions. Orders stock well in advance of running out. Follows up with stock back orders and processes balance-due prescriptions.

        Summary:
        As a key role in the Revenue Integrity team, the Auditor & Educator is responsible for conducting reviews of EMR documentation of patient encounters to ensure coding accuracy and documentation adequacy. The professional will work collaboratively with clinical providers to improve revenue cycle integrity while seeking and identifying trends and opportunities for coding optimization. The incumbent will regularly conduct coding reviews of CPT, ICD-10, and modifier utilization. Provide feedback and focused educational programs on the results of auditing, review claim denials pertaining to coding, and implement corrective action plans.         Required Job Qualifications:
        • Bachelor’s Degree in lieu of Bachelor's degree, an Associate’s degree with 5 years of auditing experience required.

        • Registered Health Information Administrator (RHIA) or Registered Health Information Technician (RHIT) certification in conjunction with physician based coding experience, including evaluation & management (E/M) and surgical coding experience, may be considered contingent upon CPC or CCS-P certification being acquired within the first 6 months of employment.
