      Summary:
      This position works under the general direction of the Office of Research Affairs' Clinical Research Administration Division, their clinical department / division, and in partnership with the Principal Investigator (PI), Co-investigator(s), other study personnel, and sponsoring agents to ensure protocols are conducted in accordance with the principles of Good Clinical Practice (GCP) S/he will coordinate standard clinical research studies conducted by PI(s) which may include grant-funded, industry sponsored, and investigator-initiated clinical research studies.       Required to obtain and document 12 hours of laboratory continuing education per year. Required to prepare and present a minimum of 15 minutes of continuing education within the department.       Special Projects
      Accepts and/or volunteers for method evaluations and new procedure development or other special projects and completes them within an agreed-upon time frame.       Tech-in-Charge
      Required to perform the duties of the tech-in-charge for specified periods. Oversees operations according to departmental guidelines. Understands when to defer issues to appropriate personnel, for example, a supervisor or director, and does so.

The Section delivers care at main campus and affiliated sites in Oak Park and Oak Brook. The Section has a busy research program and is involved in multiple FDA clinical trials. An ACGME sleep medicine and surgery fellowship in conjunction with the Section of Sleep Medicine is planned within 1-2 years.

     The RUSH Section of Sleep Surgery provides comprehensive care for patients with sleep disorders, offering the full spectrum of procedures, including nasal and soft tissue surgery, hypoglossal nerve stimulation and skeletal procedures, such as maxillomandibular advancement surgery and surgically-assisted rapid palatal expansion. The Section delivers care at main campus and affiliated sites in Oak Park and Oak Brook. The Sleep Surgery program has grown rapidly in recent years, drawing patients from the greater Chicago region and beyond. The Section has a busy research program and is involved in multiple FDA clinical trials. An ACGME sleep medicine and surgery fellowship in conjunction with the Section of Sleep Medicine is planned within 1-2 years.

    The Section is looking for an experienced sleep surgeon at the Assistant or Associate Professor level, preferably with sleep medicine and/or surgery fellowship training to join Dr. Mike Hutz, a dual-boarded Otolaryngologist and Sleep Medicine specialist. The recruit will have an opportunity to develop a comprehensive sleep surgery practice, educate residents and medical students, and participate in research and clinical trials. The faculty member will also have the opportunity to practice comprehensive otolaryngology in the department based on interest.

    Pay Range: $40-80 per hour
    Rush salaries are determined by many factors including, but not limited to, education, job-related experience and skills, as well as internal equity and industry specific market data. The pay range for each role reflects Rush’s anticipated wage or salary reasonably expected to be offered for the position. Offers may vary depending on the circumstances of each case.

    Summary:
    Position Summary:
    We are seeking a qualified Instructor with expertise in blood banking to contribute to academic instruction, clinical teaching (if applicable), and service within the institution. The successful candidate will demonstrate professionalism, collaboration, and a commitment to excellence in education and community engagement.

    Other information:
    Required Qualifications:
    •- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
    •- Professional certification or licensure as required by the discipline.
    •- Eligibility for state licensure if applicable.
    •- Demonstrated potential in teaching and/or research.
    •- Relevant experience with target populations or subject matter.
    Preferred Qualifications:
    •- Bilingual proficiency (e.g., Spanish).
    •- Prior experience in clinical supervision or academic instruction.

    •- Serve as a clinical supervisor or academic instructor as required.
    •- Teach and co-teach courses in the assigned curriculum.
    •- Provide academic or clinical services as applicable.
    •- Participate in faculty meetings, departmental committees, and institutional service activities.
    •- Advise and mentor students in academic and/or clinical settings.
    •- Collaborate with program directors and education managers to support student learning and operations.
    •- Maintain and develop instructional or clinical materials and resources.
    •- Promote community outreach and student engagement aligned with institutional goals.
    •- Contribute to the growth and specialization of educational programs.
