      The Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush University Medical Center is recruiting for BC/BE academic and community Neurologists to work at their Oak Park Hospital location. The current team includes academic clinical neurologists that have a variety of clinical and academic interests, each with extensive experience caring for patients with a wide range of neurological problems in both outpatient and inpatient settings. Candidates will have a faculty appointment and join the Department of Neurological Sciences at Rush University Medical Center. All opportunities will include outpatient and inpatient settings and a chance to see a wide variety of neurological diagnoses. Teaching and research opportunities are also available if desired by the candidate. Qualified candidates must be graduates from an ACGME-accredited neurology residency and must be board certified in neurology. Outstanding clinical skills are required. Candidates will have a faculty rank commensurate with experience. A competitive salary and benefits package are available.

      The selected individual will join a section of eight clinical faculty to cover outpatient and inpatient needs for the Transplant Service Line, while collaborating closely with Dr. Steven Flamm, Clinical Director of Network Development and Outreach for the Transplant Service Line and Director of Research in the Section of Hepatology, at the Rush downtown campus and the seven liver transplant outreach sites where you will assist in building strong referring relationships for the Rush Solid Organ Transplant program.

      Qualified candidates must possess a strong commitment to patient care, resident education, and research. Candidates must be board certified/eligible in both transplant hepatology as well as gastroenterology and be eligible for faculty appointment at the assistant professor level or above. Candidates should have experience in clinical hepatology and liver transplantation, along with a strong interest and successful track record in establishing referring provider relationships for liver transplant and have a deep desire and proven expertise in growth strategies for Liver Transplant programs. An interest or experience in alcohol use disease order is also a plus. Rush was one of the first ten liver transplant centers in the United States, starting in the 1980s. Nearly 2,000 patients have received a liver transplant during the program’s 35-year history.               Pay Range: $35.00 - $53.55 per hour

              Summary:
              The RN 1 is a beginning level nurse who utilizes a scientific and theoretical knowledge base along with policy and procedures, standards of care and protocols to guide practice. The RN 1 relies on the experience, judgment and support of others while developing knowledge in practice.               6. Chief Nursing Officer must provide approval for any RNs with ADN degree hired after 10/22/2020, based upon unit need. ADN RNs hired after 10/22/2020 must show continued enrolment towards a BSN degree with a signature of contract stipulating a BSN degree must be completed within 3 years of hire, Failure to do so will result in termination. ADN RNS are not eligible for leveling to RN3.
              Abilities:
              1.Work requires the ability to walk throughout the Medical Center and to be standing or walking most of the designated shift.

                  Rush offers competitive total compensation that includes base pay, benefits, and other incentive programs for our employees. The total pay range shown reflects the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions including, but not limited to, specialty; relevant experience and training; and other business and organizational factors. This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role. Additional compensation may include premium pay rates, sign-on bonuses, and relocation allowances. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.

                    Summary:
                    The RN 1 is a beginning level nurse who utilizes a scientific and theoretical knowledge base along with policy and procedures, standards of care and protocols to guide practice. The RN 1 relies on the experience, judgment and support of others while developing knowledge in practice.                     Knowledge:
                    1.Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required.
                    2.Maintain current BLS certification.
                    3.Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BSN) or Associate’s degree in nursing (ADN) (New graduates must have acceptance into an accredited school of nursing within 6 months from date of hire,
                    4. Within 1 year from the date of hire, employee must be enrolled in a BSN program.
                    5. RNs hired prior to 10/22/2020 are grandfathered in with an Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or diploma in nursing, with no further need to obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (BAN or BSN).
                    6. Chief Nursing Officer must provide approval for any RNs with ADN degree hired after 10/22/2020, based upon unit need. ADN RNs hired after 10/22/2020 must show continued enrolment towards a BSN degree with a signature of contract stipulating a BSN degree must be completed within 3 years of hire, Failure to do so will result in termination. ADN RNS are not eligible for leveling to RN3.
                    Abilities:
                    1.Work requires the ability to walk throughout the Medical Center and to be standing or walking most of the designated shift.
                    2.Work requires lifting or carrying objects 35-40lbs. and supporting and positioning patients, some of whom may exceed 300 lbs.
                    3.The ability to check documents for errors, use a keyboard to enter or retrieve data, and closely examine specimens, images or reports is required.
                    4.Work conditions include performing procedures where carelessness could result in injury or illness and/or contact with potentially infectious materials and/or strong chemical agents.
