      Position Summary: 

      • The System Antimicrobial Stewardship – Infectious Diseases Pharmacist (ASP-ID) is a clinical pharmacy specialist and leader responsible for the development, implementation, and documentation of the antimicrobial stewardship program (ASP) across Rush University Health System (Rush). This includes providing multidisciplinary education on safe antimicrobial use, creating and implementing guidelines, collaborating with multidisciplinary clinicians, administrators, and support staff across the system, and analyzing metrics for antimicrobial utilization to satisfy new and existing CDC and Joint Commission standards. The ASP-ID pharmacist will be responsible for developing and coordinating innovative clinical pharmacy programs across RUSH sites conducting scholarly and research activities and interdisciplinary teaching. To support the effectiveness of ASP initiatives, the ASP-ID pharmacist will maintain on-site service coverage rounding with inpatient ID team(s). The ASP-ID pharmacist will serve as a key faculty member in postgraduate pharmacy training programs and affiliated colleges of pharmacy. This position will focus their efforts on ASP support at Rush Oak Park hospital and Rush Copley Medical Center. 

      Essential Clinical Duties and Responsibilities of the ASP-ID Pharmacist: 

      • Develops metrics for performance and maintenance of ASP. 
      • Participates in the provision of pharmaceutical patient care through ASP staffing and clinical rounds. 
      • Participates in restricted/protected antimicrobial approval. 
      • Participate in ASP coordinated education of healthcare professionals across RUSH sites and external partners. 
      • Serves as a liaison to other healthcare providers in the ASP. Coordinate the implementation of identified ASP initiatives while assisting with maintaining relevant required regulatory standards. 
      • Assists with the strategic implementation of Department of Pharmacy and RUSH quality initiatives. 
      • Serve as a core preceptor for postgraduate year 1 and 2 (PGY1 and PGY2) pharmacy residents and students. 
      • Document clinical interventions in EPIC. 
      • Participate in the Antimicrobial Stewardship Subcommittee of the System Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. 
      • Complete medication use evaluations (MUE) and new drug and therapeutic class reviews for P&T as assigned. 
      • Provide pharmacy representation in multidisciplinary committees, when appropriate.

       Additional Clinical/Operational Responsibilities include: 

      • Evaluate, clarify, and verify EPIC orders for therapeutic appropriateness, when necessary. 
      • Serve as content expert for ID related drug shortages. 
      • Participate in safety event (SE) reporting. Facilitate patient medication reconciliation and discharge teaching when requested. 
      • Maintain working knowledge of medical center and departmental policies and procedure. 

      Other information: 

      Required Job Qualifications: 

      • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy. 
      • Knowledge in intravenous admixture services, intravenous drug therapy and chemotherapy. 
      • Illinois Pharmacist License. 
      • Minimum of four years of Clinical Pharmacy experience OR PGY 1 residency completed within the last seven years, which includes Clinical / Specialty Pharmacy experience. 
      • Must be able to work effectively with others to provide safe and effective drug therapy. 
      • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and quickly in responding to and resolving a wide range of problems. 

      Preferred Job Qualifications: 

      • Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an accredited College of Pharmacy. Completion of a PGY2 pharmacy residency in Infectious Disease and/or an Infectious Disease focused Fellowship. 
      • Board Certification in Infectious Diseases Pharmacotherapy prior to or within 18 months of hire. 
      • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary stakeholders, strong clinical acumen and understanding of medical literature, and ability to drive large-scale projects forward.

        Responsibilities:
        1.Accurately post insurance and patient payments received by mail and lockbox. This would include but is not limited to assigning batches to users via banking application, sorting received mail, agency checks, and separating zero paid EOB’s and rejections. User must ensure that batches created in EPIC have accuracy focused on deposit date, appropriate payment code, payer, allowed amounts and remit codes when applicable. Ensure that all cash activity is properly entered into daily Cash Report for distribution to the Cashiers Office.
        2.Ensure all commercial electronic 835 remittance files sent by our HB or PB clearinghouses are delivered to our internal RUSH FTP server for processing. Users must also work on ensuring all the necessary reconciliation & balancing is intact for all incoming remittance checks tied to each 835 payer file. Using the current RUSH approved banking applications is significant for this task. The E-remit process also entails managing other payers such as Medicare, BCBS, IL Medicaid along with all necessary reconciliation & balancing practices. Daily use of EPIC remittance application such as Create/Load Runs, Process Runs, Accept, and reconcile all daily electronic remittances files with the correct deposit dates and all necessary corrections as needed.
        3.Research unmatched payments and reduce the clearing accounts to ensure payments are transferred to the correct HAR or entity resulting in a reduction of the A/R in a timely manner. Identify payments intended for other entities such as RUMG, RUMC, ROPH, ROPPG or other private physicians. Ensure accurate application of payments to designated clearing accounts is needed. Reprocess insurance payments that may need to be redistributed to the correct destination.
        4.Produce Enterprise & PB/HB Payment Posting reports as needed for processed batches both for lockbox posting, On-Base or other assigned posting task. Update the following daily reports such as: Lockbox Daily reports, Checks and Payment Tech report, Lockbox Totals Only reports. Administer all other non-EPIC related applications such as multiple banking vendor financial applications in addition to EDI, ACH and ERA clearinghouses and websites.
        5.Track lost or misdirected payments by making phone calls to insurance payers, internal RUSH departments or patients. This daily function will also involve investigation and resolution with General Accounting or with other Revenue Cycle departments
        6.Auditing work to determine if payments are being applied accurately and corresponding remittance actions and GL transactions are correct.
        7.Other related duties as assigned.

This position involves active participation in multidisciplinary teams across RUMC and offers ample opportunity for clinical program development and scholarly activity. 

        Key Responsibilities

        •Conduct comprehensive, evidence-based neuropsychological evaluations for pediatric patients (ages 0-21), with opportunities for lifespan evaluations based on experience/interest

         •Provide differential diagnosis and detailed written reports with clear, practical, and individualized recommendations for intervention, school planning, and treatment.

         •Consult and collaborate effectively with referring physicians, including pediatric neurologists, oncologists, psychiatrists, and surgeons, as well as with patient families and school personnel. 

        •Engage in teaching, training, and supervision of psychology interns, externs, and post-doctoral fellows, contributing to RUMC’s commitment to academic excellence. 

        •Develop and pursue clinical research interests, quality improvement projects, and other scholarly activities. 

        Qualifications

        •Education: Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program. 

        •Training: Completion of an APA-accredited internship and a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology that meets Houston Conference guidelines. 

        •Licensure: Current or immediately eligible for licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in the State of Illinois. 

        •Experience: Demonstrated expertise in the assessment of diverse pediatric populations, including differential diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (e.g., ADOS-2, ADI-R).

      Position Summary: 

      • The System Antimicrobial Stewardship – Infectious Diseases Pharmacist (ASP-ID) is a clinical pharmacy specialist and leader responsible for the development, implementation, and documentation of the antimicrobial stewardship program (ASP) across Rush University Health System (Rush). This includes providing multidisciplinary education on safe antimicrobial use, creating and implementing guidelines, collaborating with multidisciplinary clinicians, administrators, and support staff across the system, and analyzing metrics for antimicrobial utilization to satisfy new and existing CDC and Joint Commission standards. The ASP-ID pharmacist will be responsible for developing and coordinating innovative clinical pharmacy programs across RUSH sites conducting scholarly and research activities and interdisciplinary teaching. To support the effectiveness of ASP initiatives, the ASP-ID pharmacist will maintain on-site service coverage rounding with inpatient ID team(s). The ASP-ID pharmacist will serve as a key faculty member in postgraduate pharmacy training programs and affiliated colleges of pharmacy. This position will focus their efforts on ASP support at Rush Oak Park hospital and Rush Copley Medical Center. 

      Essential Clinical Duties and Responsibilities of the ASP-ID Pharmacist: 

      • Develops metrics for performance and maintenance of ASP. 
      • Participates in the provision of pharmaceutical patient care through ASP staffing and clinical rounds. 
      • Participates in restricted/protected antimicrobial approval. 
      • Participate in ASP coordinated education of healthcare professionals across RUSH sites and external partners.

Daily use of EPIC remittance application such as Create/Load Runs, Process Runs, Accept, and reconcile all daily electronic remittances files with the correct deposit dates and all necessary corrections as needed.
        3.Research unmatched payments and reduce the clearing accounts to ensure payments are transferred to the correct HAR or entity resulting in a reduction of the A/R in a timely manner. Identify payments intended for other entities such as RUMG, RUMC, ROPH, ROPPG or other private physicians. Ensure accurate application of payments to designated clearing accounts is needed. Reprocess insurance payments that may need to be redistributed to the correct destination.
        4.Produce Enterprise & PB/HB Payment Posting reports as needed for processed batches both for lockbox posting, On-Base or other assigned posting task. Update the following daily reports such as: Lockbox Daily reports, Checks and Payment Tech report, Lockbox Totals Only reports. Administer all other non-EPIC related applications such as multiple banking vendor financial applications in addition to EDI, ACH and ERA clearinghouses and websites.

        Responsibilities:
        1. Administers, monitors, and weans mechanical ventilation; makes ventilator recommendations based on clinical assessment, technical assessment, and laboratory values; manages airways.
        2. Administers bronchial hygiene and treatment procedures including aerosol therapies, chest physical therapy, and therapeutic gas administration; analyzes gases where applicable; procures and delivers gases using central piping systems and gas cylinders.
        3. Assesses patients clinically before and after the administration or application of any medication, procedure or device; recommends appropriate therapy including initial therapy, changes in therapy, and discontinuance of therapy.
        4. Applies CPAP and BIPAP and makes recommendations based on patient compliance, response, and laboratory values.
        5. Documents work timely, completely, and accurately, including documentation in the patient medical record, documentation in the department records, and patient billing.
        6. Assesses patient oxygenation, ventilation, and hemodynamic status through clinical observation, patient assessment, physiologic monitoring including oximetry, capnography, ventilator waveform analysis, and cardiac output, ECG, and laboratory values; provides respiratory care interventions within the scope of the Rapid Response Team, performs CPR.
        7. Performs bedside spirometry including spontaneous breathing parameters, PEFR, and other limited pulmonary function; identifies normal values for patients.
        8. Provides patient/family education.
        9. Performs ECGs and arterial puncture.
        10. Performs bronchoscopy assist.
        11. Provides clinical supervision of respiratory care students on rotation.
        12. Demonstrate initiative in optimizing patient care by participating in physician rounds and documenting assessment findings and therapy changes.
        13. Participates in CQI and QA initiatives including work audits and committee participation.

        Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites application for the position of Pediatric Neuropsychologist. The position will be based at the Autism Assessment, Research, Treatment, and Services (AARTS) Center in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences. The AARTS Center is the region’s only comprehensive, lifespan autism center and is dedicated to addressing unmet needs of individuals with neurodevelopmental differences and their families.  

        Position Summary

        The Pediatric Neuropsychologist will be responsible for providing comprehensive neuropsychological evaluations and consultation for children and adolescents presenting with possible neurodevelopmental differences as well as a wide range of neurological, medical, and psychological conditions (0. 8 FTE). The Pediatric Neuropsychologist will also participate in clinical trials and research projects as part of collaborations with the Department of Pediatrics (0.2 FTE). This position involves active participation in multidisciplinary teams across RUMC and offers ample opportunity for clinical program development and scholarly activity. 

        Key Responsibilities

        •Conduct comprehensive, evidence-based neuropsychological evaluations for pediatric patients (ages 0-21), with opportunities for lifespan evaluations based on experience/interest

         •Provide differential diagnosis and detailed written reports with clear, practical, and individualized recommendations for intervention, school planning, and treatment.

         •Consult and collaborate effectively with referring physicians, including pediatric neurologists, oncologists, psychiatrists, and surgeons, as well as with patient families and school personnel. 

        •Engage in teaching, training, and supervision of psychology interns, externs, and post-doctoral fellows, contributing to RUMC’s commitment to academic excellence. 

        •Develop and pursue clinical research interests, quality improvement projects, and other scholarly activities. 

        Qualifications

        •Education: Doctoral degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Clinical Psychology, School Psychology, or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program. 

        •Training: Completion of an APA-accredited internship and a two-year post-doctoral fellowship in Pediatric Neuropsychology that meets Houston Conference guidelines. 

        •Licensure: Current or immediately eligible for licensure as a Clinical Psychologist in the State of Illinois. 

        •Experience: Demonstrated expertise in the assessment of diverse pediatric populations, including differential diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder (e.g., ADOS-2, ADI-R).
