      Rush Copley Medical Center, in Aurora, Illinois, part of the Rush University System for Health network of hospitals, is seeking a BC/BE Outpatient Family Medicine Physician to join their primary care team in Yorkville, IL.

      Due to significant regional growth and development, we are expanding our provider team to meet increasing patient demand. This is an exceptional opportunity to become part of a collaborative team serving a thriving community.

      Position Details

      • Rush Medical Group Primary Care offers health care for the entire family from acute illness to chronic medical issues. Our family medicine doctors see patients of all ages — from newborns to seniors.
      • Access to on-site Sports Medicine Physician for consultation and collaboration.
      • Clinic is open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 7:00 pm, Saturday, 9:00 am – 1:00 pm, closed on Sundays.
      • Desirable schedule of 36 patient facing hours per week with 1 evening shift until 7pm and 1 Saturday morning per month.
      • Call responsibility: Each physician covers their own weekday call after hours. Weekend call is shared 1:5.
      • This is a full-time, 100% outpatient role offering a balanced patient schedule with an even mix of pediatric and adult patients.
      • The practice provides comprehensive primary care in a supportive environment with established systems and a team of 4.0 FTE Family Medicine physicians and 1.0 FTE Advanced Practice Provider.

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients across the lifespan, from pediatrics through geriatrics
      • Diagnose and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
      • Collaborate with nursing staff and support team
      • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
      • Maintain accurate and timely electronic medical records
      • Participate in weekend call rotation to ensure continuity of care for patients
      • Contribute to practice growth during our expansion phase

      Qualifications:

      • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical institution
      • Board-eligible or certified in Family Medicine
      • Valid IL medical license or ability to obtain licensure

      Summary:
      The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting.       •Escort discharged patients with their belongings to the Credit Office when requested by the units to pick up their personal items from the vault.
      •Transport deceased patients on the cadaver cart to the morgue.
      •Accompany the undertaker and/or police personnel upon request to the morgue to release deceased patients.
      •Per Medical Records, transport deceased patients to the receiving dock (deceased patients are never to be left unattended) to be picked up by the Police personnel.
      •Transport the deceased patients to the Viewing Room.
      •Respond to Dr. Code pages with crash carts and remain until completed.
      •Make up stretchers with clean linen as needed. Strip stretchers of soiled linen and place soiled linen in proper laundry pickup stations.
      •Deliver wheelchairs and stretchers to the units/departments when requested.
      •Transport blood product requisitions to various areas when the tube station is out of service.
      •Transport blood bank pickup slips (when tube station is out of service) from the units, to Blood Center and return blood to patient care nursing unit's staff.
      •Transport patient's belongings as directed.
      •Deliver wheelchairs/stretchers that are in need of repair and/or cleaning to the storage areas (005 Pavilion (wheelchairs only), room 415 Jones and 909 Jelke).
      •HTS wheelchairs/stretchers are not to be left unattended in hallways, on the units, by Elevators, etc.; unattended wheelchairs/stretchers are placed in the designated storage areas, when not used to transport patients (005 Pavilion( wheelchairs only), 415 Jones and 909 Jelke).
      •Alert the Security Department when unusual occurrences are observed.
      •Attend meetings when requested.

      Qualifications

      Summary:
      The Bone Marrow Transplant (BMT) Oncology Nurse Navigator 2 is a registered nurse (RN) who works collaboratively with physician practices and multi-disciplinary teams as to promote the effective utilization of services and coordination of care for patients within the Section of Bone Marrow Transplant and Cellular Therapy within the Cancer Center service line. The BMT Oncology Nurse Navigator 2 assesses patients' psychosocial, financial, and clinical needs throughout the continuum of care ensuring high quality care while supporting quality metrics of the BMT Program, Cancer Center, and Rush University Medical Center. The BMT Oncology Nurse Navigator 2 functions as a liaison between patients, physician practices, the hospital, and the community performing functions that meet the core competencies of oncology navigation; Care Coordination, Communication, Education, and Professional Role/Care as well as the domains of the Profession Practice Model; Relationships and Caring, Evidence Based Practice, Technical Expertise, Critical Thinking and Leadership. The focus of this position is coordination of patient care from the initial bone marrow transplant referral to the transplant.     Summary:

    • Pushing a large emergency crash cart (approximately 200 lbs.) from the Pharmacy Department to the emergency site.

    Responsibilities:
    •To maintain self in appearance and attitude in a professional manner.

    Responsibilities:
    Performs Laboratory Testing
    Utilizes required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) to perform all laboratory procedures efficiently and effectively with minimal supervision once trained.¡@ All testing must be done following Rush approved Policies and Procedures.
    Screening cytopathology slides of both gynecological and non-gynecological fluids
    Performs adequacy checks of fine needle aspirates in the clinical areas (IR, OR, Endoscopy, etc).
    Process specimens using cytospin, or thin-prep instrument.

    Reviews negative cytological cases as a means of quality control.¡@
    Participates in the training program for residents of Pathology and retains records of positive and interesting cases for educational purposes and inspecting agencies.

    Works closely with clinical staff providing information on correct handling of specimens, test results, pertinent clinical information and decision making priority cases.
    Quality Control and Preventative Maintenance
    Performs required quality control (QC) procedures and preventative maintenance, including corrective action and documentation, for all procedures and instrumentation. Recognizes QC problems or discrepancies and attempts to determine the cause of problem. Notifies appropriate supervisor or designee regarding QC problems or discrepancies according to the established procedure.
    Troubleshooting
    Performs basic troubleshooting of equipment and processes with minimal assistance, documents action and notifies appropriate personnel, for example, supervisors, of problems all of the time. Able to recognize when additional help is needed and seeks out that help.
    Organization of Work Area
    Keeps work area neat, clean, organized, and well stocked at all times. Disinfects area at the beginning and end of each shift.

    Accepts no inappropriate specimens annually.

    Continuing Education
    Required to obtain and document 12 hours of laboratory continuing education per year.
    Special Projects
    Accepts and/or volunteers for method evaluations and new procedure development or other special projects and completes them within an agreed upon time frame. Participates in procedure implementation and training of new staff and students. Encouraged to identify and participate in process improvement projects.
    Tech-in-Charge
    May perform the duties of the tech-in- charge for specified periods of time. Over sees operations according to departmental guidelines. Understands when to defer issues to appropriate personnel, for example a supervisor or director.
    Results Reporting and Reviewing.
    Transcribes results accurately into the Lab Information System.
    Reviews lab results as required, and takes actions before verification and release.
