      Summary:

The RN 2 continues to consult with other members of the health care team when the need for assistance is identified.       Qualifications Knowledge:
      1.Current State of Illinois Registered Nurse licensure required.
      2.Maintain current BLS certification.
      3.Earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher (except RN1s hired and already working at Rush University Medical Center before October, 2012). All transfers from other Rush entities must have an earned nursing degree at the baccalaureate level or higher prior to transfer into Rush University Medical Center or Rush University Medical Group.
      a.May accept Associates Degree in Nursing (ADN) effective 1/9/23 up until approved number of ADN hires by Chief Nursing Officer is met with the following stipulations:
      i.Baccalaureate degree must be earned within timeframe outlined in the ADN Condition of Employment.
      ii.All Conditions of Employment as outline in Offer Letter must be met. Failure to do so will result in termination.
      Skills:

      Abilities:
      1.Work requires the ability to walk throughout the Medical Center and to be standing or walking most of the designated shift.

      MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 

      • An earned doctorate in nursing or a closely related field. 
      • Illinois RN licensure or ability to obtain licensure in the state of Illinois. 
      • Demonstrated strong history of progressive leadership in academic nursing, including success with accreditation, faculty development, and program innovation. 
      • A distinguished scholarly record suitable for appointment as a tenured full professor. 
      • Proven success in securing external research funding.

      Summary:
      The Pharmacist is responsible for assuring the effective and efficient provision of pharmaceutical care services.       Responsibilities:

      • Evaluates physicians’ orders for therapeutic appropriateness, proper dosing, drug interactions, allergic reactions, route, labs, contraindications and rate of administration and therapeutic redundancies.
      • Verifies orders in Epic in a timely manner and if necessary, clarifies orders through direct and timely contact with prescriber or designated practitioner.
      • Workflow may include evaluation and/or Epic order entry of cytotoxic drug therapy orders. The order evaluation may be performed on new orders or as a profile review of a target patient population.
      • A profile review would include (but not be limited to) a focus on: high risk medication review for appropriateness in dose, indication and duration of treatment; reduction of unnecessary medications; drug-drug or drug-food interaction evaluation; changes in renal and/or hepatic function that would impact medication dosing; use of trigger medications that would reflect an adverse event such as a adverse drug reaction or medication error.
      • Provides patient-specific pharmacotherapy recommendations and drug information to the medical and nursing staff. Provides general and/or patient specific drug information as required to other health professionals. When appropriate, makes recommendations for cost-effective alternatives to medication orders. In-services to nursing units as needed, to communicate changes in Rush formulary or other specific drug use issues.
      • Performs medication admission and allergy histories and discharge counseling per the Pharmacy Department’s direction (may include all patients, those receiving high risk medications or another identified subset of patients).
      • Appropriately documents in Epic all interventions, checking of patient’s own medication, vancomycin/aminoglycoside consultation, patient education (i.e. warfarin teaching) and any communication related to admission medication histories or discharge counseling.
      • Performs daily review of pharmacy reports: IV to PO, CrCl report, pharmacokinetic monitoring and any other drug or patient-focused report that may be required.
      • Implements all drug use policy and formulary decisions of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics Committee. Oversees therapeutic substitutions as appropriate.
      • Participates in Unusual Occurrence, UO (ADR and medication error) reporting program.
      • Provides clear and specific handoff communications to next provider of care whenever necessary. This may be the next pharmacist on shift, or other healthcare professionals, such as when patients are being discharged.
      •  Identify medication safety issues and takes steps to make corrections, or brings system change suggestions to the attention of the appropriate personnel.
      • Participate in quality assurance projects, drug utilization evaluations and formulary monograph development as assigned.
      • Rotation from a unit-based position through the central pharmacy will be expected to happen on rotation with other clinical staff pharmacists. This will include the checking of pyxis, patient specific medication supplies, IV and TPN production
      • Provides general supervision for technical support in their assigned operational area. Monitors and coordinates workflow with established delivery schedules.

      The Director of Strategic Procurement & Supplier Management is an enterprise leader responsible for the strategy and execution of Procurement, Supplier Management across the health system. This role oversees procurement operations, the procure-to-pay continuum, and strategic supplier management for over $1 billion in annual spend, ensuring that sourcing decisions, supplier relationships, and operational execution are tightly integrated.
      The Director serves as the primary bridge between Procurement, Strategic Sourcing, Finance, Legal, and other Stakeholders in consolidating strategic supplier management. The role drives supplier outcomes, risk management, innovation, product conversions, and value analysis support, while enabling compliant, optimized spend and supporting ESG goals.

    Responsibilities:

    • Evaluates physicians’ orders for therapeutic appropriateness, proper dosing, drug interactions, allergic reactions, route, labs, contraindications and rate of administration and therapeutic redundancies.
    • Verifies orders in Epic in a timely manner and if necessary, clarifies orders through direct and timely contact with prescriber or designated practitioner.
    • Workflow may include evaluation and/or Epic order entry of cytotoxic drug therapy orders. The order evaluation may be performed on new orders or as a profile review of a target patient population.

    Summary:
    The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting. The Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing. In addition, the Certified Medical Assistant will administer intramuscular injections, immunizations, small volume nebulizer treatment, over-the-counter medications under the direction of a Physician.     Responsibilities:
    1.Coordinates and maintains organized patient flow.

    16.Calls patients regarding test results and medical instruction under the direction of a Physician.
    17.Calls in medication refills under the direction of a Physician or protocol.
    18.Documents patient care information in the outpatient medical record according to standards.
    19.Assists with scheduling of patient tests, procedures, and follow-up appointments.
