Summary:

Technical
•Remains current in the technical advances, methodologies, and any new tests within the scope of their laboratory
•Oversees direct support for testing personnel including all human resource management and day to day operations

Financial
•Oversees the financial aspects of the laboratory, including coordinating and preparing the capital and operational budgets

Summary:

9.Assists the nurse in the management of uncomplicated tubes and drains.
10.Performs specific patient care procedures such as blood glucose testing, specimen collection, etc.
11.Demonstrates knowledge of age specific variables and growth and development.
12.Promptly reports changes in patient condition to the appropriate Registered Nurse.
TRANSPORTS PATIENTS AND (OTHER) ITEMS AS NEEDED
13.Transports laboratory specimens and patient belongings as required.
14.Obtains blood products, supplies and equipment as necessary.

The Service Coordinator I with Child and Family Connections assists in determining eligibility for designated services and enables families to receive their rights, procedural safeguards, and services that are authorized under the state’s early intervention program. The Service Coordinator builds relationships that include providing information to families and coordinating information among multiple service providers. The service coordinator maximizes the use of existing resources and refers families to any other needed services, tailoring the unique circumstances of each individual child and family. The Service Coordinator exemplifies the Rush mission, vision and values and acts in accordance with Rush policies and procedures.

•Bachelor’s degree in a related human service field such as early childhood special education, social work or psychology.
•Must meet requirements to obtain Illinois Department of Human Services Part C Early Intervention Service Coordination Credential.
•Successful completion of state-sponsored Service Coordinator, Systems Overview, and Cornerstone trainings are required.
•Ability to gather information, format reports, and present outcome of work assigned.
•Interpersonal skills are integral to the position and the ability to coordinate activities with many disciplines toward one goal is essential.
•Case management experience is essential.
•Good time management skills and the ability to work independently are required.
•Demonstrates knowledge of the developmental, physical, psychosocial, medical and cultural needs of children and families.
•Demonstrates excellent organizational and case management abilities.
•Ability to work with different cultures and aid family with various barriers to care is essential.
