      Department/division specs

      • Four fellow inpatient Hematology Advanced Practice Providers.
      • One Hematologist and one Hematology Hospitalist on the inpatient service

      Duties & Responsibilities:

      • Rotating two-day, 10-hour shifts/week
      • APPs cover the unit seven days per week (days only)
      • Reports to the Lead Inpatient Hematology APP
      • 100% Inpatient

      Preferred Qualifications:

      · Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Cancer related specialty is preferred. Relevant RN experience may be considered.

      · APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification.

      Position Requirements:

      Nurse Practitioner:

      • Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse or eligible to obtain a licensure through the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR) application process
      • Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
      • Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
      • CPR, ACLS, and PALS certifications

      Physician Assistant:

      The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care.         Summary: The Rush Alzheimer’s Disease Center is a world leader in research in aging and Alzheimer’s and other dementias and offers a stimulating research environment with several large ongoing epidemiologic studies of aging and more than 40 faculty with diverse expertise. We seek outstanding applicants for a fully funded 2 year postdoctoral research position focused on working with RADC cohort study data linked to Medicare claims to understand the clinical and societal importance of a timely and accurate diagnosis of dementia. The main focus of this postdoctoral research fellowship position is to work with Dr. Bryan James (epidemiologist and associate professor at the RADC) to carry out the aims of his NIA-funded research project on the “Predictors and Consequences of the Timing and Accuracy of Clinical Dementia Diagnosis” (R01AG072559). The postdoctoral fellow will be integrated in to the RADC’s Medicare Linkage team co-led by Dr. James and will work closely with the other researchers on the team to carry out the aims of the R01 as well as the greater aims of building the RADC Medicare linkage program’s infrastructure. The postdoctoral fellow will work under the direct supervision of Dr. James and receive mentorship on data analysis, manuscript preparation, scientific presentation, grant writing, networking in the ADRD research space, leadership, and other aspects of career development to become an independent investigator. Group based didactics also are available via ongoing aging and REC seminars offered via the RADC and other Rush departments. Expected products at the end of the postdoctoral training include: peer-reviewed publications, oral and poster presentations, and preparation of a research proposal to generate extramural support (i.e. K01). Please include 1-3 publications as writing samples

The main focus of this postdoctoral research fellowship position is to work with Dr. Bryan James (epidemiologist and associate professor at the RADC) to carry out the aims of his NIA-funded research project on the “Predictors and Consequences of the Timing and Accuracy of Clinical Dementia Diagnosis” (R01AG072559). The postdoctoral fellow will be integrated in to the RADC’s Medicare Linkage team co-led by Dr. James and will work closely with the other researchers on the team to carry out the aims of the R01 as well as the greater aims of building the RADC Medicare linkage program’s infrastructure.         Summary:
        Under the general supervision of a Security Supervisor, the armed Security Officer will provide physical protection for persons and safeguarding of property on the Rush University Medical Center (RUMC) Campus. The security officer will report and document infractions of rules, regulations and policies of RUMC; and violations of federal, state and local laws and/or ordinances. The security officer will exemplify the RUMC missions, visions and values and act in accordance with RUMC policies and procedures.

        Other information:
        Knowledge:
        High School graduate or GED.
        Previous hospital security experience preferred but not required.
        Valid driver’s (Illinois, Indiana, and Wisconsin) license required.
        Must have a prior driving record deemed acceptable to RUMC based upon the results of a Motor Vehicle Report check conducted by Human Resources.
        Must possess and be responsible for maintaining current Permanent Employee Registration Card (PERC).
        Must have completed 28 hours firearm training as demonstrated through a certification of successful completion of Firearms Training Course.
        Must be eligible to obtain a Firearm Control Card (FCC)* within 90 days of employment (*Including revolver).
        Illinois Firearm’s Owner’s Identification Permit (FOID) required. International Association for Healthcare Security and Safety (“IAHSS”) certification required within six months of employment and maintained thereafter.

        The Operations Specialist, Financial Aid is a senior-level operational professional responsible for executing and supporting complex financial aid processing, systems functionality, and compliance activities. This role plays a critical function in ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant delivery of financial aid services that support student success, enrollment goals, and institutional risk management.

        Working under the direction of the Associate Director for Operations, the Operations Specialist applies advanced knowledge of financial aid regulations, systems, and operational workflows to resolve complex cases, support system integrity, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives. This position serves as a subject-matter resource for Financial Aid Advisors and collaborates across teams to ensure consistent, student-centered service delivery.
