      Summary:
      The Pharmacist may fill the role of a number of different positions in the department. The Pharmacist may work in central operations, or in a satellite. Operations role: The scope shall include operational responsibility for order verification, IV therapy, total parenteral nutrition, automated dispensing cabinets (ADC), oral drug compounding/repackaging, dispensing and delivery of medications. Assessment of current IV clean rooms with USP 797 regulations including necessary staff education will also be a focus. Central Pharmacy/Satellite role: Reviewing and verifying medication orders in Epic for accuracy and safety.       Summary:
      The Phlebotomist obtains blood specimens from patients by the invasive procedure of venipuncture. Once proficient in adult and geriatric venipuncture and with additional training, the phlebotomist performs skin puncture on neonates, skin puncture or venipuncture on children and adolescents. The phlebotomist is a liaison between the physician and Rush Medical Laboratories.     The Road Home Program provides specialized mental health care to veterans, service members, and their families.     Summary:
    Road Home Program: The National Center of Excellence for Veterans and Their Families (RHP) is dedicated to assisting and supporting current service members (Active Duty, Reservists and National Guard), veterans, and their families, with effective mental health services. The Road Home Program specializes in the treatment of Posttraumatic Stress Disorder utilizing a two-week Intensive Outpatient Program and other accelerated models for delivering evidence-based treatments. RHP also collaborates with local and national veteran and service member organizations.

    The clinician will assess and treat veterans and their family members in a multidisciplinary outpatient practice setting which includes the Intensive Outpatient Program.     •Performs specimen accessioning and specimen processing. Advises physicians and nurses on how to order and schedule specimen collections in Clinical Provider Order Entry (CPOE).
    •Documents on the clipboard (NCC) and collection set labels for missed or delayed draws with rare exception.
    •Collections, Cancels and reschedules laboratory orders via communication with ordering physician, physician assistant, nurse practitioner or nurse. Cancels and documents the same in LIS. Clears collection pending report at the end of shift.
    •Participates willingly when asked to participate in special projects or events, for example health screenings and medical student phlebotomy training classes. Gathers data or examples of orders or specimen collections for recurrent problems, for example order modification process for CPOE/EPIC orders.
    •Acts as "tech-in- charge for specified periods of time. Oversee operations according to departmental guidelines. Understands when to defer issues to appropriate personnel, for example a supervisor or director, and does so.

    Summary:
    The Phlebotomist obtains blood specimens from patients by the invasive procedure of venipuncture. Once proficient in adult and geriatric venipuncture and with additional training, the phlebotomist performs skin puncture on neonates, skin puncture or venipuncture on children and adolescents. The phlebotomist is a liaison between the physician and Rush Medical Laboratories. The phlebotomist (Laboratory Liaison Technician) is responsible for collecting specimens for routine, timed and STAT collections. The phlebotomist interacts and communicates with physicians, nurses, laboratory personnel and other members of the health care team.
