      Summary:
      The Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting Physicians, Mid-Level Practitioners, and Registered Nurses with the evaluation, management, and treatment of patients in an ambulatory care setting. The Medical Assistant assumes responsibility for maintaining patient flow, the upkeep of exam and treatment rooms, and performing basic skills such as vital signs and point of care testing. In addition, the Certified Medical Assistant will administer intramuscular injections, immunizations, small volume nebulizer treatment, over-the-counter medications under the direction of a Physician.     • Ensures customer needs as well as department concerns are communicated in an effective, customer service-oriented manner. Promptly responds to all customer requests and complaints and follows through to resolution.
    • Adheres to all established systems and training programs to provide a safe working environment. Complies with all IDPH and OSHA regulations and other local, state and federal regulations.
    • Maintains compliance with hospitals standards of operation. Adheres to Business Conduct Policy at all times. Maintains all records and reports to ensure compliance, with all local, state and federal regulation and codes.
    • Performs any and all Laundry job functions as assigned or required.
