      Summary:
      The System Director, Patient Access provides strategic leadership and operational oversight for all patient registration and front-end access functions across the health system. This role ensures that patient arrival, demographic validation, and registration workflows are efficient, accurate, and standardized.
      The System Director acts as the primary guardian of EMTALA compliance and ensures the accurate capture of complex Insurance and Governmental Payer data. This leader is responsible for the health of front-end workqueues, the development of departmental policies, and the creation of a high-performance culture through a structured onboarding pathway to ensure staff retention and operational excellence.

      Required Job Qualifications:
      •Education: Bachelor’s degree in healthcare administration, Business, Finance, or a related field.

            •Identifies care management contract outcomes by using care management contract quality measures.
            •Models and maintains a quality-based, proactive patient-centered approach to achieve department and institutional goals and process improvements.
            •Documents in accordance with regulatory guidelines to ensure effective communications and to support reimbursement standards and requirements. Confers, collaborates, and consults with treatment teams regarding patient progress, transition of care needs; makes referrals and implements discharge plans.
            •Organizes and facilitates clinical supervision for social work staff. Manages, reviews, and updates staff continuing education needs.
            •Promotes and provides education about the care management role throughout the organization.
            •Ensures care management policies and procedures are consistent with regulatory guidelines; provides updates to committees when indicated.
            •Other duties as assigned.
