      Pediatric Otolaryngologist – Clinical Faculty/Physician

      Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications for the position of a pediatric otolaryngologist to join the Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery team.

      Qualified candidates must possess a strong commitment to patient care, education, and research. Candidates must have completed a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship, be board certified/board eligible and be eligible for faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level or above. The candidate will have an opportunity to build a robust clinical practice encompassing all aspects of pediatric otolaryngology, to teach residents and medical students, and to develop a successful research program. The position offers the opportunity to expand this highly ranked program at the Rush main campus and regional sites that will help support the growth of the Section of Pediatric Otolaryngology. Candidates would take part in robust multidisciplinary clinical programs, including Pediatric Aerodigestive Program and Craniofacial Center, while also having the opportunity to grow clinical programs, including airway reconstruction and head and neck masses. The Section supports a busy, 72-bed Level IV NICU (highest IL designation), an 18-bed PICU with 24/7 coverage by pediatric intensivists, and a general pediatric unit at the main campus.

      The Otolaryngology department has 21 faculty, 8 APPs, and 11 audiologists that provide comprehensive array of otolaryngology services at the main campus and 6 regional sites. The department is planning to add 3 additional faculty over the next year and two additional regional sites to support clinical expansion. The program is currently ranked #28 on US News and World Report and has a highly competitive residency program with 3 residents/year and fellowships in Advanced Rhinology and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Clinical responsibilities will include provision of inpatient and outpatient neuropsychological services to a very diverse adult patient population with neurological, medical, and/or psychiatric conditions, including individuals with seizures, neurodegenerative conditions, vascular diseases, auto-immune disorders (e. g. , multiple sclerosis, lupus, etc.), normal pressure hydrocephalus, traumatic brain injury, brain tumors, cancers, etc. Teaching responsibilities include supervision of trainees through the neuropsychology track of the APA-accredited internship program and APPCN post-doctoral fellowship program in neuropsychological assessment and intervention in addition to lectures for neuropsychology trainees and residents and fellows in other disciplines.       This position offers rank and salary commensurate with experience. Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree from an APA- or CPA-accredited psychology program with specialized training in neuropsychology as well as internship (APA-accredited) and a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship training in adult clinical neuropsychology.     Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, invites applications for the position of a pediatric otolaryngologist to join the Department of Otorhinolaryngology – Head and Neck Surgery team.

    Qualified candidates must possess a strong commitment to patient care, education, and research. Candidates must have completed a Pediatric Otolaryngology Fellowship, be board certified/board eligible and be eligible for faculty appointment at the Assistant Professor level or above. The candidate will have an opportunity to build a robust clinical practice encompassing all aspects of pediatric otolaryngology, to teach residents and medical students, and to develop a successful research program. The position offers the opportunity to expand this highly ranked program at the Rush main campus and regional sites that will help support the growth of the Section of Pediatric Otolaryngology. Candidates would take part in robust multidisciplinary clinical programs, including Pediatric Aerodigestive Program and Craniofacial Center, while also having the opportunity to grow clinical programs, including airway reconstruction and head and neck masses. The Section supports a busy, 72-bed Level IV NICU (highest IL designation), an 18-bed PICU with 24/7 coverage by pediatric intensivists, and a general pediatric unit at the main campus.

    The Otolaryngology department has 21 faculty, 8 APPs, and 11 audiologists that provide comprehensive array of otolaryngology services at the main campus and 6 regional sites. The department is planning to add 3 additional faculty over the next year and two additional regional sites to support clinical expansion. The program is currently ranked #28 on US News and World Report and has a highly competitive residency program with 3 residents/year and fellowships in Advanced Rhinology and Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

    Summary:

    The Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Rush University Medical Center is recruiting for a tenure-track full-time faculty position in the Section of Neuropsychology. Clinical responsibilities will include provision of inpatient and outpatient neuropsychological services to a very diverse adult patient population with neurological, medical, and/or psychiatric conditions, including individuals with seizures, neurodegenerative conditions, vascular diseases, auto-immune disorders (e. g. , multiple sclerosis, lupus, etc.), normal pressure hydrocephalus, traumatic brain injury, brain tumors, cancers, etc. Teaching responsibilities include supervision of trainees through the neuropsychology track of the APA-accredited internship program and APPCN post-doctoral fellowship program in neuropsychological assessment and intervention in addition to lectures for neuropsychology trainees and residents and fellows in other disciplines. Research and scholarly activities will be expected. For the interested candidate, opportunities to teach in the medical school may also be available.

    This position offers rank and salary commensurate with experience. Applicants must have completed a doctoral degree from an APA- or CPA-accredited psychology program with specialized training in neuropsychology as well as internship (APA-accredited) and a 2-year postdoctoral fellowship training in adult clinical neuropsychology. Eligible candidates must be license-eligible in the State of Illinois and ABPP Board certified or eligible in Clinical Neuropsychology.
