      Position Details

      • Rush Medical Group Primary Care offers health care for the entire family from acute illness to chronic medical issues. Our family medicine doctors see patients of all ages — from newborns to seniors.
      • Desirable schedule of 36 patient facing hours per week with 1 evening per week until 7pm and 1 Saturday morning per month
      • Convenient Care services integrated directly into our practice for seamless walk-in patient care
      • Sugar Grove is a growing village of around 9,300 residents, located roughly 46 miles west of downtown Chicago.
      • Our clinic location is close to a variety of shopping and restaurants and is easily accessible via Illinois Route 47, which connects to Interstate 88 and US 30.
      • Join us during a pivotal expansion phase with upcoming renovations to significantly increase our clinical space

      Key Responsibilities:

      • Provide comprehensive primary care services to patients of all ages
      • Collaborate with nursing staff and support team
      • Participate in quality improvement initiatives
      • Contribute to practice growth during our expansion phase
      • Call responsibility: Each physician covers their own weekday call after hours. Weekend call is shared 1:5

      Qualifications:

        • Medical Degree (MD or DO) from an accredited medical institution
        • Board-eligible or certified in Family Medicine
        • Valid IL medical license or ability to obtain licensure

      Summary:
      The Director of Corporate Real Estate leads strategy, planning, and execution of real estate activities across the Rush University System for Health. The role focuses on real estate administration and predevelopment, including site selection, market analysis, lease/purchase negotiation, entitlement strategy, and coordination with external brokers, counsel, and development partners. This position oversees leasing, acquisitions, dispositions, and site development in support of the system’s clinical, academic, research, and administrative needs. The role focuses on real estate administration and predevelopment, including site selection, market analysis, lease/purchase negotiation, entitlement strategy, and coordination with external brokers, counsel, and development partners. The Director works closely with internal teams across Planning, Design & Construction, Facilities, Strategy, Legal, and Finance to ensure alignment between capital deployment and system priorities. The role also manages a team responsible for lease administration, vendor management, and property operations for Rush-controlled properties.         Summary:
        The Education Quality Coordinator (EQC) is an experienced nurse who coordinates and participates in the provision of education and nursing quality improvement. The EQC evaluates, monitors, and improves the quality of nursing care at Rush University Medical Center. The EQC plans, implements, and evaluates educational activities to promote high standards of nursing practice throughout the Division of Nursing. The EQC reports to the Director and has accountability to the clinical Nursing Directors for department specific activities.         Responsibilities:

        Summary:
        The scope of practice of the Clinical Pharmacist Specialist covers direct and indirect patient care, education, medication safety, performance improvement, and consultation. The Clinical Pharmacist Specialist is responsible for the provision of both operational and clinical pharmacy services to a general population of patients.         Required Job Qualifications:
        •Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy.
        •Illinois Pharmacist License.
        •Minimum of four years of Clinical Pharmacy experience OR PGY 1 residency completed within the last seven years, which includes Clinical / Specialty Pharmacy experience.
        •Knowledge in intravenous admixture services, intravenous drug therapy and chemotherapy.

        Responsibilities:
        1. Responsibilities will include order verification, discharge counseling, projects, and education of other healthcare professionals
        2. Evaluate and verify Epic physician's orders for therapeutic appropriateness, proper dosing, optimal dosage form, drug interactions, allergic reactions, route and rate of administration and therapeutic redundancy.
        3. Clarify physicians' orders when necessary through direct and timely contact with prescriber or designated practitioner.
        4. Provides patient-specific pharmacotherapy recommendations and drug information to the medical and nursing staff.
        5. Participates in the pharmacy department's most current method of documenting clinical interventions.
        6. Perform daily review of pharmacy reports including pharmacokinetic monitoring and other drug or patient specific reports that may be required.
        7. Conducts monthly nursing unit inspections of medication storage areas as assigned.
        8. Supervise pharmacy technician staff involved in the preparation and delivery of medications ensuring coordination of workflows with established delivery schedules.
        9. Coordinate medication ordering, preparation, dispensing, and administration systems for the patient populations outlined above on a daily basis.
        10. Implements all drug use policy and formulary decisions of the Pharmacy and Therapeutics committee.
        11. Participates in SE (ADR and medication error) reporting programs.
        12. Complete clinical and operational activities as designated by the departmental management team (e.g. pyxis inventory optimization, relevant process improvement projects, etc.).
        13. Precept pharmacy students and residents (PGY1 and PGY2) as assigned in clinical and operational areas
        14. Provides patient-specific pharmacotherapy recommendations and drug information to the medical and nursing staff.
        15. Assess and evaluates the medical and drug literature in order to compare and contrast therapeutic regimens and uses for new or existing drug treatments.
        16. Implement medication safety initiatives as determined by current departmental needs and ongoing projects.
