The Emergency Department at the Rush Urgent Care Clinic – North & Harlem and the Rush Urgent Care Clinic – River North, associated with Rush University Medical Center of Chicago and Rush Oak Park Hospital, invites applications for the position of Urgent Care Lead Advanced Practice Provider. •Reconcile charges against clinical documentation, code rules and charging methodologies for internal purposes along with external audits
•Works with external vendors, interfaced software, and ancillary software to review charge capture opportunities and documentation to identify missed charges and correct accounts
•Identify trends, analyze to propose and create meaningful solutions, improve processes, create training content, and participate in the education of departments regarding their CDM and missed charges
•Serves as subject matter expert for fellow team members to review questions and assist with resolving accounts

1.Provides curbside transport service to patients and visitors. Greets all staff and visitors with a smile. Ensures the safe, timely and accurate transport of patients to their destination.

3.Follows proper procedure when working with the Epic Tracking Dispatch system. Take's on the responsibility to call the dispatcher on the phone when the radio is not working. Notifies dispatcher of delays and cancellations. Clears calls immediately after transports are completed.
4.Assist in the upkeep of the lobby. Stores wheelchairs neatly in wheelchair room.
5.Maintain an awareness of what is going on in the Medical Center. Report all unusual occurrences and all security issues to Rush security.
6.Report building issues (such as damage to the facility) to Medical Center Engineering. Work together with staff and Lead Door Attendant to solve problems using teamwork with professional demeanor.
7.Alerts clinical staff immediately to any signs of patient distress or alerts management of equipment malfunction.

9.Key off and operate elevators as needed (in emergency situations only), work with hospital transport, medical staff, firemen, or disaster team to aid those in need. Restore order to the area once aid is no longer needed.
10.Makes and carries out independent decisions when dealing with ill or handicapped patients, doctor codes, fire codes, or disasters.
11.Utilizes proper body mechanics when lifting and transferring patients to and from wheelchairs.
12.Develops and promotes positive effective customer service relations with patients, patients family members, visitors and staff; ensures accurate and timely transport of patients and patient-related items.
13.Completes transport quickly and efficiency; immediately notifies dispatchers when assignments are initiated and completed.
