The new 100-bed facility is a combined critical illness recovery and inpatient rehabilitation hospital on the Rush University Medical Center campus. The RUSH Specialty Hospital is outfitted with the latest technology and features 44 critical illness recovery and 56 inpatient rehabilitation beds.

      Department/division specs

      · Work alongside three fellow LTACH APPs in collaboration with Rush University Hospitalists and Select Medical.

       

      Duties & Responsibilities:

      · Rotating 10-hour shift schedule covering a 24-hour service

      · 76, 12-hour shifts/year (at 0.50 FTE)

      · Will report directly to the Hospital Medicine Lead Advanced Practice Provider

      · 100% inpatient

       

      Preferred Qualifications:

      · Applicants with previous Advanced Practice Provider experience in Hospital Medicine, Critical Care or related specialty is preferred, not required. Relevant RN experience may be considered.

      · APRN Candidates will require Acute Care Certification.

This total pay range is for a full-time, 1.0 FTE employee, and includes any incentive payments that may be applicable to this role, as well as additional compensation such as sign-on and retention bonuses and relocation allowances.             Summary:
            The Clinical Nurse Leader (CNL) functions as an advanced generalist providing and managing care for patients, individuals, families, and communities in the microsystem. The CNL is a point of care expert clinician, outcomes manager, client advocate, educator, information manager, system analyst/risk anticipator, team lead, professional, and lifelong learner. The CNL collaborates with nursing leadership and the healthcare team, and serves as guardian of care, coordinator for the improvement of patient care outcomes, and resource in the management of clinically complex patients. The CNL provides insight regarding the microsystem for collaboration with the Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) on macrosystem processes and outcomes.
