Summary:
The Vice President, Nursing Operations and Patient Care Services will serve as an executive-level partner to the Senior Vice President and Chief Nursing Officer. This role will aid in the establishment and execution of strategic goals and priorities as well as oversight of key business drivers, service-line leaders, performance metrics, and operating components. The Vice President’s scope will include oversight over inpatient units and additional areas of nursing oversight at the RUMC campus. •Our affiliation with Rush University Medical Center allows for easy transfers of patients requiring tertiary care. Rush Oak Park Hospital is conveniently located 10 miles from downtown Chicago and in a desirable residential neighborhood.
•Schedule: this role will function on a rotating 10-hour schedule alongside twenty full-time Emergency Medicine Physicians and two fellow Advanced Practice Providers. Night shifts are not currently required but may be added as needed. Two weekends (four shifts) per four-week block are required.

The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is a licensed physician assistant (PA) or advanced practice registered nurse (APRN) who functions as a member of the health care team to provide high quality, comprehensive acute and/or routine medical/surgical care of Rush patients within the scope of practice granted in accordance with the Rush University Medical Center medical staff bylaws. The APP will promote collaboration between multiple disciplines to ensure cost effective and quality patient care. The individual who holds this position will exemplify the Rush mission, vision and values and act in accordance with the policies, procedures, guidelines of Rush, including the Rush Medical Group Customer Service standards. Successful candidates will also meet all other state and federal regulatory practice and accreditation standards.

Position Requirements:
Nurse Practitioner:
•Current licensure from the State of Illinois as a Registered Professional Nurse and Advanced Practice Nurse
•Master of Science in Nursing or Doctorate of Nursing practice with clinical specialty appropriate to position
•Current certification by American Nurse Credentialing Center (ANCC) or American Academy of Nurse Practitioner (AANP)
•Maintains State of Illinois and Federal DEA license
•Must maintain Rush University Medical Center (RUMC), Rush Oak Park Hospital (ROPH), and Rush Copley Medical Center (RCMC) clinical privileges, as applicable.
•CPR, ACLS and PALS certifications.
•Excellent communicator

Physician Assistant:

General Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider

Rush University Medical Center, a nationally recognized clinical and academic institution and the teaching hospital for Rush Medical and Nursing Colleges, located in downtown Chicago, invites applications for the position of General Gastroenterology Advanced Practice Provider. As a part of the Department of Internal Medicine, Division of Digestive Diseases & Nutrition, Section of Gastroenterology, this role will function Monday through Friday, no weekends, no holidays, and no call. The practice location will be shared between Rush University Medical Center and Rush Oak Park Hospital.
These providers will be trained in a subspecialty of Gastroenterology including pancreas, high risk cancer screening, and motility along with seeing a panel of general GI patients.
